I had a great experience at House Coffee Co. first off, I love that it's built into an actual house. I got the salted caramel latte which I enjoyed. It feels like the cafe name perfectly represents the ambiance. The petite shop does feel super homey that it gives the vibe of having coffee at your friend's living room. One simple long communal table at the center complemented with plugs for the guests to use. I really love how the background music is slow and chill - not being too loud, and all the guests also mostly focus on their own thing, making it perfect 'quiet' space regardless you're working or just seeking some peaceful space to relax. Being a first timer doesn't make me feel alienated as the barista's super welcoming. Asking for her reco, I end up with their house signature's Maple Walnut Latte. Interestingly the Maple Walnut was actually the dairy-free milk and the default sweetener is house-made brown sugar cinnamon syrup. She does call out that they make all their syrups in house so I'm pretty impressed by how many selections they carry. They do have a handful of non-coffee options if coffee isn't your cup of tea. I see plenty of guests go for their Strawberry Matcha, which indeed is their top one from non-coffee selections. I love my cup of joe, coming just at the right sweetness level, and the flavor's peculiar yet amiable. I've driven by this shop many times on my way to work and I've been curious. I love coffee and am always on the look out for new spots to try. I don't work from home, but I do have side gigs and I like to get those projects done at coffee shops because #supportlocal. I also love stepping out with my pup on those days. I had a matcha with rose flavoring and whole milk iced which was nicely balanced. The service was friendly, and wifi was easily accessible wherever you sat. This is a house which makes perfect sense, you feel life you are having coffee at your friends house in their backyard. The outside has plenty of outdoor seating with sun cover but you may need to double up on picnic tables for tablespace. The ground is gravely just fyi for your four legged furriends. Beware there's absolutely no parking here the two spaces they have are about it. Everything's taken up and there's no real parking around and you can't park in the Grip parking lot so this is just a ridiculous place. They need to either get a valet or move to another place where they have parking horrible don't even bother spending your time trying to go to this place because you won't be able to park. read more

Stopped by this coffee shop for the first time today after running across it on a walk. I love the vibe in this shop. There's both indoor and outdoor seating. The indoor space is warm and full of character. Solange was playing on the speakers, so I knew I was in the right place! They have enough outlets to charge multiple devices and get work done. The maple and walnut latte is one of the house favorites and tatsted great. They also have Ethiopian coffee on drip. I have to try that next. I highly recommend the chocolate chip and banana loaf. Tasted pretty good cold, but after warming it up for a few seconds, it was incredible. One of the best loafs I've ever had forreal. Baristas are very friendly and welcoming. An awesome coffee shop in the middle of busy part of LA. It looked like it used to be a house turned into a coffee shop which is a cool concept making it feel "homey"..... The parking can be a HUGE issue as it is super limited. But luckily I went there early on a Friday morning. The barista was cool. He was sipping on his Espresso as I walked into the cafe. I got the latte and it was delicious. It was server in a pretty ceramic cup which I love! If you are in the area, check it out! The backyard patio is super peaceful and pretty! read more

Great experience here today! The Shop is beautiful inside and out. My cortado tasted good and my wife ordered a drip coffee with a spiced donut which was actually really delicious. There is some indoor seating and a large outdoor area. There is very limited parking. The Service here was outstanding. The gentleman working today was super cool. Always lovely people working there... I lead hikes on the weekends, and after our walks in Kenneth Hahn park, this is our go to place for food and beverages and conversation. I was over the moon when I saw this local mom and pop coffee shop open up! The shop itself is on the corner of Jefferson and Sycamore and has convenient entrances on both sides of the building. My boyfriend and I were instantly greeted upon entering House Coffee which is amazing considering how busy it was. I really liked how attentive and hospitable they were. What we ordered- Horchata latte with whole milk Latte with oat milk Chocolate pop pie Strawberry pop pie The horchata latte was okay since it wasn't sweet enough for my boyfriend's preference. He will add a sweetener next time. The regular latte was really yummy and strong, just how I like it. I would definitely recommend this. Pastries were amazing- very tasty with crispy borders. There were also small businesses outside on the patio promoting their own products. We purchased a banana and walnut loaf from Tea Thyme. While living in the west adams areas for two months i visited this coffee shop at least twice a week. The staff was Amazing, super friendly and really know their craft. I geek out when people talk to me about coffee beans where they originated from the acidity and the different notes I will taste. The staff is super passionate. Loved the music selection. Erik really made me feel welcomed he knew my order and just talked to me about life. I love the table and co working space in the middle of the house. This is great place to work from. I had a very unprofessional experience with the male barista. He was very rude when I told him that's too much ice and proceeded to tell me why it looks the way it looks. He was flip it, rude and disrespectful. Instead of making my drink the way I asked he continued to argue with his coworker. A friend invited me for morning coffee & letters. And I have to say they do not disappoint. I'm especially excited about the Gluten Free Banana Chocolate Swirl loaf. It was delicious- like grandma made it delicious . They also have an assortment of dairy free milks and creams- get the hazel nut milk in a Mocha latte!! Wow where do I begin this is my 5 star coffee house because it hits all of my button. Ambience is a vibe when I first walked in giving me that clean uncluttered look ti which I love. When driving up Jefferson Blvd if you blink you will surely miss it. It is in the cut. Very nice baristia and the owner really is apart of this community (check out video below). Across the street is Minority Aides Wellness Center and they have a vibrant food pantry open to all ever Tuesday beginning at 12pm , and the clients and employees patron this coffee house . Locals were coming in steady stream. They have freshly prepared pastries, latte's,coffee , teas both hot and cold-. Loved their on the table outlets for your electronic devices. The handicap accessible ramp can accommodate large and small wheel chairs . They also have a hepa filter air system and an air conditioner for those hot summer days. Gray air quality for asthmatic. Great out patio with seating with small cute tables. In addition they had a large outdoor seating patio with portable heato g stations. Eric leaves right down the street from his coffee house and wanted that to be part of his vision to not only to have a business but ti also live and and have is home near by. His wife is a chef too. big menu & lots of sweetener options which i loooove. i had the strawberry matcha latte and an almond croissant, and my boyfriend had a cappuccino. the matcha was really good and they were VERY generous with the strawberry compote. the croissant was flakey and had a very prominent almond flavor, and the cappuccino was also great. the shop is very cute with a spacious backyard area to sit in. the only downside for me was the parking situation is pretty tight and limited. otherwise we loved this place! read more
