Right on the corner neat coffee shop. Cant miss the entire blue building lol. They have a small parking lot on the side of it so drive slow so you dont miss it lol. The inside was pretty big plenty of tables to study or get work done. I got a mango matcha it was good. I forgot what coffee we got but added another 2 shots it was really strong and had a nice taste. They had some pastries and some different kind of toast they looked really good id try them out next time.

Modern coffee, tea, and vibes with a price tag. Visited on a Friday afternoon to finish up some work on the computer. Was able to get some street parking on the main street. Walking in, it's pretty spacious with some seating - very minimalist vibes. Ended up ordering a rose tea and an almond croissant. I didn't see prices of the pastry, but the tea was about $5. Total came out to $14 - so seems the croissant was pretty pricey. The rose tea was pretty good - steeped well and not too hot upon serving, so you can actually drink your drink right away. You def get floral flavors and aroma - so worked out well. The croissant was a different story - seemed old and dry, I took two bites and couldn't eat the rest. For the price - that's literally tough to swallow.

I was finally able to try this coffee shop, which is within walking distance from my home and also has street parking available. Inside, there are a few seats if you want to stay and enjoy your drink. They offer a nice selection of pastries along with coffee and a variety of other beverages. I decided to try the matcha mango drink and thought it was pretty good--just make sure to stir it well before drinking. Overall, I'd recommend checking it out!

Their newest opening. It's quaint inside but I feel like the set up for ordering should be where the door opens. A couple seating inside where you can watch them roast the coffee beans. The black coffee I'm sure is wonderful. But I'm too fancy and need a latte. Tried the Stockholm fog with a shot and it was a bit much. Do it without a shot. I felt the caffeine. It's basically a chai and mocha. It definitely was a rich drink. And then the mango matcha. That was okay. The drinks were $9. Overall for my palate I don't think there is a drink for me to go to but for coffee lovers that want to try different beans and know that they freshly roast in house this place may be for you.

Ambiance: it's a trendy coffee shop in South Bay, spacious seating inside and they have private parking lot attached to the establishment Service: super friendly and patient with questions, very knowledgeable about their products and specialties, provided useful suggestion based on different beans Drink: simple menu items with rotating exotic beans Vanilla Latte - **** classic latte, creamy and tasty, recommend Emerald Series La Piragua - ***** choice of Emerald Pour Over, iced coffee, Blackberry, Lemonade, Cherry, and its origins in Colombia, Huila, Palestina Varietal with Pink Bourbon Natural Process by coffee grower Arley Vargas, bold aroma of fruity notes, unique combination, highly recommend Price: premium quality, and it's on the pricey side, each drink costs about $7~$9

Matcha was tart :( could barely taste the matcha. Kinda just tastes like tart strawberry milk. I think next time I'll ask for less strawberry, but disappointed I paid $10 for something I ended up throwing away. The ambiance is cute! Very quiet, good place to study. The cashier who rung me up was nice. (Didn't try the coffee because it was for a co worker of mine)

Good spot to get your coffee fix, is what my girlfriend would say. I unfortunately got the matcha, and if i'm being honest, it wasn't for me. Something about it didn't fit my taste buds. Cool place though and definitely a spot you should check out if you like coffee or if you're trying to get some work done. Service was decent and we parked on the street.

This was my second time visiting The Boy and the Bear in Gardena. The first time I came, I ordered the chai chocolate latte called the Stockholm Fog, and it was delicious. It had a great chai flavor with a subtle hint of chocolate and a touch of cinnamon--really tasty. Honestly, I wish I would've ordered that again. This time, I came with my brother and we tried the chocolate croissants and a mango sunrise matcha. I had my croissant heated, and while it was okay, there was very minimal chocolate inside and it wasn't melted when I bit into it. The mango matcha was also lacking flavor and mostly tasted like milk. That said, I absolutely love the aesthetic of this coffee shop. The blue color scheme is super inviting, and it's a great place to hang out if you're in the area to work, or study even if the food and drink didn't quite hit this visit.

I've been driving by this spot for so long I was so excited to finally try it out! We came late Sunday morning and there was no wait and plenty of street parking. The inside was very modern, aesthetic and cool. Both the baristas working were super friendly and greeted us when we walked in too. Now the coffee.., I'm a bit conflicted on how to rate this because it was really good but the most expensive coffee I've ever had. We got a mocha latte and a vanilla one both with oat milk. The milk was an extra charge, I believe syrups were $1.25 and made in house. Overall I paid $17 something with no tip for two lattes. While they were perfectly balanced with a good coffee taste and subtle sweetness, I have a hard time justifying the price. I understand it's about quality, but I feel like it is extremely overpriced and you can get a good quality latte other places for less. I would maybe come back if I wanted to splurge because the lattes really were good just pricey.

I've passed by this spot a few times and finally had a chance to stop in for a coffee. There's free parking available, which made it easy to pull in. It's right off Western, but the exterior is pretty subtle, so it's easy to miss--definitely keep an eye out for the sign. When I walked in, the vibe was calm and not too busy. The barista greeted me while finishing up a drink. I wasn't immediately sure where the menu was, but after a quick look around I found it. The selection isn't huge, but that actually works in its favor--it feels like they focus on doing a few things well. I ordered an unsweetened iced matcha with simple syrup on the side, along with a warmed croissant. While waiting, I looked around the shop. They sell freshly ground beans, and the prep area almost looks like a little science setup, which was interesting to see. When my drink was ready, I added simple syrup myself--ended up putting in a bit too much, so that was on me. The matcha itself was smooth and good on its own. Overall, I'd come back again, and I'm also interested in checking out their Redondo Beach location.

This place has the best atmosphere, it looks bigger on the inside with indoor seating. The workers were nice and made our drinks quick. I like that it's not super busy, but customers come in waves. They're more known for their coffee, I believe they roast their beans in house. The matcha was a miss for me, it was very light in mango and matcha flavor. While the syrup tastes homemade, it definitely can be improved. I just expected more for a $9 drink. They don't have a parking lot, but there's free street parking.

I love everything about this coffee shop. The coffee shop alone is my favorite color, there is minimal seating along the counter and the pastries are big fresh - though I wish there were wooden signs so consumers know the price before purchasing. Now to my fellow coffee hipsters - there are various coffees using different beans and flavor profiles for you to try - additionally there are beans that you could take home. I bought "Fabian Acevado?" and it was really good - make a Chemex cup every morning and the box gives me instructions on how much to weigh out and how much water to pour. This place knows their coffee. I also got a free coffee with my coffee bean purchase - an iced drip coffee with milk and sugar. It was delicious. The baristas were very nice and patiently explained the differences between the coffee's which helped me make my decision and even offered to add milk and sugar to my coffee. Thank you.

A cozy coffee shop in a commercial area, well designed interior and nice aesthetics for the roastery. The staff is friendly and fast with their services. I ordered the Pumpkin Spice Latte which was rich, smooth, and not too sweet. Just enough hint of pumpkin and cinnamon to add to the overall experience.

The café itself has a decent atmosphere, but it didn't really stand out to me compared to other coffee spots I've visited. I tried the Halo-Halo latte and the Bibingka latte. Both drinks were interesting and drinkable, but neither left a lasting impression. The flavors were unique and inspired by Filipino desserts, which I appreciated, but I found them more "good" than "great." I also ordered the Nutella Croissant, which was enjoyable but nothing particularly memorable. One thing that stood out was the pricing. The drinks and pastries felt a bit expensive for what they were, especially coming from Orange County where I feel like similar cafés offer comparable quality at lower prices. Since I was just visiting the area, the price difference was pretty noticeable. Overall, it wasn't a bad visit by any means. The drinks were okay, the food was okay, and the service was fine. I'm glad I gave it a try, but it's probably not a café I'd go out of my way to recommend or revisit. If you're nearby and curious about Filipino-inspired coffee drinks, it may be worth checking out once, but I wouldn't consider it a must-visit spot.

I had my whole day planned out with a list of events to attend but first I wanted to stop by Patria and grab some coffee to start my morning off. Located in a parking lot next to Wilson Park on Compton Blvd and Alameda Street you'll find this nice cut lawn in front of this small white building, Patria Coffee Roaster. Depending on your time of arrival, the parking lot can be full but it's cool cuz there's also street parking available. I was able to park in the lot. After walking in I was welcomed and greeted with positive energy from 2 young ladies who I forgot their names but we'll just call them "A" and "C" lol. A guy to my right was sitting next to the window working on his laptop. And two others against the wall sipping their coffees and doing whatever on their phones. A customer was at the register ordering while another customer walked in to stand in line behind me. I let her go in front of me while I took pics and recorded footage. I like the atmosphere and space a lot. It has a very nice decor. Artwork, pictures and murals with history displayed along the walls. Grab and cold drinks available for purchase. Nice music playing that wasn't too loud but just right to complement a chill coffee shop vibe. "A" was friendly and patient as shared with her this was my first visit. As I browsed thru the coffee menu before making my selection I noticed more costumes coming in. I ordered a medium sized Americano which is $3.75 but I requested to add some hazelnut creamer as well as some almond milk which totaled out to $4.75 which was quite exceptional to me. Giving the location, the quality of service and the quality of the coffee. Not to mention to overall experience. I even thru in a $1 tip. I support the business and love the space. It feels welcoming and safe. The restroom was clean. They also have many different events held there. If you're ever in the area definitely pull up and check em' out. It's black owned as well. I actually ended up sitting there in the lot sipping my coffee while working on my video to post on social media. The coffee was good and tasteful. Didn't need any sugar. Great vibes and great coffee. You can even go the park right next door and get your steps in or just chill. I definitely recommend coming here. If you're passing thru the area or coming to the city, do yourself a favor and pull up. Check em' out. Grab you a coffee or something. Prices are reasonable and the community is welcoming to all individuals.

While driving home, we noticed this coffee shop and I'm so happy we decided to stop by!…read more Coffee 8/10 We ordered an iced cafe de olla and a quad Ibarra mex mocha. Both were soo flavorful. I will say, the cafe de olla is very spice forward. I taste a lot of cloves and star anise. A bit different than others I've had but I really liked it. The mex mocha was smooth and rich. I did see that their slushies are highly rated and now that it's getting hot, we'll def be back to try them! Food 10/10 They don't have food items on their menu but there are baked goods! We ordered a cream croissant looking muffin and a chocolate chip cookie. Both were warmed up and were absolutely delicious. Vibes/Ambiance : 10/10 We came on a Friday morning and it wasn't too busy. There were people working there as they have free wifi and outlets. The decor and vibe is cute! They have art on the walls, pictures, plants, community flyers/events, and statements that make you feel safe and at home. The staff is so friendly and welcoming too! There is a little parking lot right next to the shop and we didn't find it hard to find a spot. There is a park next door so I can imagine on the weekends, parking might be a bit tricker. Loved that we found a local gem like Patria and will def be back!
