We came to Ocean 7 for their happy hour. The day that we went, the weather wasn't the best, so we had to sit outside. I would have preferred to sit outside because they have a beautiful sitting area and you can see the ocean. The bartender we had was great. He was very attentive and had a great conversation with us. I had a spicy margarita, which was fresh and not with premade mix. We had the bbq quesadilla, which was only alright but for the price and we needed something to eat while drinking it was good. They had a singer with a guitar there and he was excellent. He was taking personal requests, played a few of his own songs, and his voice was excellent. He reminded me of Ed Sherran.

We went to this place for an event and the food was delicious! Because we went during an off season there was a plenty of parking. Also it's right off of the beach so it's convenient too!

Went here for restaurant week and was disappointed. This place has a lot of things to improve in order to be considered fine dining. Our biggest complaint was on service. The restaurant was primarily empty. For drinks I had a water and my husband ordered a beer. After ten minutes of not receiving the beer we flagged down our server and she forgot to put it in. She promptly came over with a can of beer and a glass and opened it and incorrectly poured it in front of us. When being served entrees we noticed all servers had to ask who was eating what for every course. I am not used to seeing that at a fine dining establishment. The food portions were ample which was nice. We enjoyed the Caesar salad and egg rolls. The shrimp pasta was great. The pork chop was served cold. Although a large portion it was flavorless. At the end of the meal the server came back to state that she forgot our dessert order. She literally recommended both of the deserts and forgot the entire conversation. It wasn't a big deal but it's details like that that separate fine dining from the rest. We won't be back. There are too many other establishments in Cape May that are polished. It's a shame since we saw the potential and it's a great location with water views. The three stars reflected the quality of the food and portion size.

I came here with some friends during a late summer trip to Cape May. We had reservations and waited about 10 minutes for a table; not bad. We had cocktails out on the patio while waiting. The cocktails were just alright; strong (yay) but the blend of flavors just wasn't done well (too sweet). The people tending bar weren't the friendliest. They were a bit snippy, even when I asked them where I should order (hello, COVID?) and where the bathrooms were. Things were better once we were seated. The seating was "indoor yet outdoor" -- it was indoor dining with the windows open, but I was ok with this since it was raining. Just FYI in case anyone is concerned re: COVID. The service was great and attentive. The appetizers that we got, caprese salad and crab cakes, were just alright and not super memorable. However, my friend and I split the braised short ribs special and we were absolutely blown away by how good it was. We would've probably licked the plate if that was deemed socially acceptable. Good option for dinner in the area. I would come back.

Amazing breakfast on a beautiful porch overlooking the ocean. The staff was attentive and helpful with menu suggestions. The coffee was hot and my cup was never empty. We had eggs Benedict and berry french toast. Both very good. The atmosphere is upscale in a huge Victorian "house". It's the perfect place for a special occasion dinner, or date night.

Keeping it simple: 1. Food is off the charts good (see pics). The Poke Bowl with Scallops was very, very good. I couldn't slow down eating it. Every part of the dish had a unique and great flavor. Highly recommend. 2. The setting of the restaurant and the hotel is unbeatable (I don't have pictures but they probably won't do it justice, anyway). You feel like a king eating there. 3. We got drinks at the bar and the bartender was polite and funny and generous with our wine :) Our server was not the most accommodating at the beginning, and was a bit salty with some of us, but we also had a very large group (~15). I thought she could have handled it better but everything else was so good I couldn't take away for that.

Excellent food, nice proportion sizes, and the drinks from the bar are outstanding. Happy hour is 3 to 5 with 1/2 price appetizers.

I ordered the harvest salad with candied walnuts. I have no idea what candied walnuts are, so I wish the waiter asked if I had any allergies because they can SOMETIMES contain cinnamon in it and I am allergic to cinnamon. When the salad came out I started to eat the salad and noticed my throat starting to feel funny. I didn't mix the salad well so I just ate the arugula with the sauce and the chicken. Half way through I noticed there were walnuts and I took a bite of it and my throat immediately started to swell and I can feel my face and tongue getting itchy. Thank god I have my allergy medications on me, but what if the next person this happens to doesn't... We immediately told the server about my cinnamon allergy and the waiter looked at me like I was joking because I ate half of it and then asked me "So you're done with that?" and I said, "Yes I can't eat it anymore, I'm allergic to it and it's contaminated with everything else. I felt my throat starting to close up, but I am okay because I have my allergy medicine. " He asked if I wanted anything else and I said no just a hot tea to help with inflammation. I appreciate that the server was trying to help us out, but he still came back with the bill and said the owner is still going to charge me because it says candied walnuts on the menu, implying that it's my fault...I really expected this place to have better service, but looking at past reviews I can see how this place has overpriced underrated food and terrible service. They don't care about their customers and certainly just focused on making money. Hopefully after today they include that their candied walnuts have cinnamon in it! Or at the very least ask the customers if they have any allergies beforehand

We were so impressed with their serving team, their offerings, and just the restaurant as a whole. The food was amazing! They had a lot of gluten free options. It's easy to get to all the shops and eateries, but you aren't right in the thick of everything, which made for a more calm and relaxing stay. The hotel has complimentary bikes, and we were able to bike to town in just a few minutes. The hotel is small and there are only a few guestrooms. We stayed on the top floor and our window had ocean views which was such a treat. I was worried about the room being hot but the AC was extremely strong. Rooms are a bit dated and the carpet really needs to be replaced. The bed is super comfy and the bathroom is more updated, but new carpet would really make the room - the current carpet is like a funky green. We had to try the restaurant since it gets such great reviews and it definitely lived up to the hype. The lobster fra diavolo was sooo good and came with so much lobster meat. Breakfast is included in the stay and was so delicious. They have a screened in porch that overlooks the ocean and there's really no better way to start off your day. Everyone that works here is friendly and helpful, and there are little cute touches like complimentary drinks and snacks, a wine and cheese hour and beach items like umbrellas and chairs. Overall this is a super cute hotel - it's classy and beautiful and the perfect backdrop for photos, and the oceanfront location is prime.

Somehow I mistakenly made a reservation for 5 even though there were only 2 of us (I reviewed the reservation to confirm I somehow made that mistake). It clearly threw a monkey wrench into some of their planning but they graciously course corrected (I apologize again if you're reading this!) and we continued on. For the restaurant week prix fixe meal, we went with: corn and crab chowder, carpaccio, pan roasted chicken breast, garganelli pasta, cherry bread pudding, and flourless chocolate. Everything we ate was mouthwatering good. That chowder had an insanely savory cut of bacon that just made the whole dish. The garganelli with truffle oil was a satisfying pasta dish for an entree. The chicken breast was cooked to perfection with a very well seasoned skin. My favorite dish had to be the cherry bread pudding. Every bite of that dish just popped with sweet flavor. This is definitely a great place to come for a special occasion. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience from start to finish
