Pig dog is part of the Morey's Piers group. Its appeal is the beach front with corn hole, connect four and comfy hammocks. The beach is also dog friendly. But there is no service on the beach so you have to order and bring it down. The food was meh. Brisket was pretty tasteless. I had the burger and just seemed like a frozen burger thrown on a bun. I've been coming here all summer since June because my family has a place nearby in Avalon. It's always been one of my favorite spots, so I even brought a group of friends in August because I wanted to show them how much I liked it. The night before, we came to watch the fireworks, got drinks, and had a great experience. The next day, we stopped by the bar before going to the water park to grab a drink. My friend and I stood there waiting for about 10 minutes while multiple bartenders ignored us. I understood they were busy, so I wasn't upset about the wait. We already had our IDs out and ready because we're all young and know we get carded everywhere. Eventually, an older bartender named James came over and said, "You guys have been waiting a while. I need to see your IDs." That was completely fine. However, after looking at my ID for an unusually long time, he started questioning me about my age. I told him I was 21, which I am. He then asked what year I graduated high school, and I answered correctly. Despite that, he immediately said, "No, I'm denying you service." I calmly asked why because the ID was mine and I am legally 21. He refused to explain and just kept saying no. At that point, some older women sitting next to us started yelling at us, saying he could do whatever he wanted and that we needed to leave. The entire situation was embarrassing and confusing, especially since we'd been coming here all summer without a single issue. James then said another bartender could check my ID, but when he handed it to her, she immediately said no without actually looking at it and walked away. My friend even had her passport with her, and he barely looked at it before setting it back down, despite it being a valid government-issued document. I completely understand that bartenders have the right to refuse service and should be cautious about fake IDs. However, what was disappointing was the lack of professionalism, the refusal to explain what the issue was, and the dismissive, disrespectful way we were treated. It's an excellent location to serve both beach goers and amusement park visitors. I've been here a few times now and the experience has been pretty identical each time. Very quick to get seated despite crowds. The menu is mostly American bar food with some BBQ dishes in there. The food is good but nothing to write home about. They have a good variety of drinks including some virgin drinks too Pricing is an only a tad bit high but that can be expected for its spot. Each time I've visited, the service was a bit slow after being seated. Due to its location, it is a very nice place to take in the whole beach and amusement park atmosphere. It's a very relaxing place to chill, eat some appetizers, and get some drinks. It's especially nice when they have live music playing or singing going on. We only went to this place because we received a coupon so we thought we would try it out and we are so happy we did! We came back here 6 out of the 7 days of our vacation. The inside was nice, still outdoor feel with live music. We stayed outside which was so family friendly, had games to play in the large beach fenced in area they have with multiple chair swings and hammocks.The drinks were good everytime and the food was amazing bar food from what we ordered. Best wings and best cheesesteak we had all week. The burger and fries was also great. The food also came out in under 10 minutes everyday except Saturday which was a normal 25 minutes. Only con of this place is the seagulls are ruthless outside with food so you can't leave your food unattended at the picnic tables or they will take it and knock over your drink while they flee the scene! read more

Average food, below average service, high prices, good vibes. Came with some friends on Saturday for lunch, it is a huge restaurant with lots of seating options outside, covered in the pier. When we went there were a ton of empty tables, and yet the hostess put us directly in front of the excruciatingly loud band. The absolute worst seat in the place... why? Not sure so we asked to move. She was frazzled and said she'd have to ask... again there are a ton of empty tables. Finally she was able to figure it out, but we still had to listen to the absolutely ear piercing "band" from a few tables away. Why was it soooo loud? I need to know!! We ate for about an hour, food was fine, but it was so loud and hard to talk. They serve everything on paper plates and give you drinks on paper cups. Prices are high but everything is around the boardwalk. Went to Wildwood boardwalk for the day with my son. We found this unique restaurant and had to try it. My son got burnt ends that had to be scooped up with a spoon, this came with two cornbread muffins. My son is handicap and, in a wheelchair, so I was helping him eat. When I went to give him one of the muffins I noticed 5 green colored spots. The waitress (who was great) ask me if we needed anything. I asked her if the muffins had sprinkles in them, she said no. I showed her the mold on the muffin, and she said I will bring you a new one. I told her I'd pass. My food had no taste, the pulled pork was bland, the ribs, let's just say they pulled apart easily, no taste. The brisket was probably the best of the 3 but for the price not worth it. So, the best part of the experience was the live music, the location on the beach with a fantastic view and the waitress who was great. First time coming to PigDog for dinner with my cousin. It's both our first time here, so I was curious what was on the menu. Really great options to choose from, descriptive and tasty. We did go 30 minutes before closing on a Monday night, so it was a little dead, however, the service was still good. Our waiter was very nice. The hostess, Ava, also was very kind when seating us even with the slow day. Drinks and appetizers came out fast, and there were even extra barbecue sauces that came out with my sandwich. Prices for the food may be a little high, but I believe it was worth it. The meat was tender and flavorful, it was very delicious. PigDog is a nice little bar any family or couple can enjoy. Myself, my wife and our kids haven't ever been disappointed with anything we've ordered. We are Morey's Season Pass holders so weve eaten here often. We've had Ceasar Salad with Grilled shrimp, Burgers, Chicken Tenders, Tacos, Cheesesteaks, and more! A favorite of ours is the Trashcan Nachos! They have a full service bar with Beer, Liquor and so good frozen drinks. They also have live music, the musicians are always pretty good and preform songs most everyone knows. My only complaint is in my opinion that some of them could turn the volume down 3 or 4 levels. Yes, they sing and play well, just for me, it's hard to have a conversation when they are playing. I'm sorry but what a bad experience, service and food quality. Started out with waitress taking orders and we confirmed twice what we wanted. Food comes to the tables: *3 orders of the brisket sandwich and they are dry as hell, with no gravy or bbq sauce on them *2 orders of the fried shrimp po boy, again with no Cajun aioli sauce and 3 over fried small shrimp on a huge bun with a pound of lettuce and no tomatoes *Buffalo chicken dip, taste like pure tuna fish and no type of spice *shrimp tacos, asked for just lettuce and tomatoes on it, they bring it with coleslaw and 3 overcooked rubbery shrimps Then we can't find our waitress and she doesn't come back to the table for about 30 minutes, I give her back the tacos and I don't want to order anything else because I'm already disgusted. Then she walks away with no care and doesn't even ask if we need anything or gives anyone else at the table a chance to express their feelings about their food. She disappears again, no refills on our drinks and when we ask another waitress if she can find our waitress, she smiles and says, she's busy...like wtf there's only 6 other tables booked in the entire restaurant and you have about 15 employees just walking around cleaning tables and we couldn't even find a manager! I went here to get some dinner on a trip down the shore with friends over Labor Day Weekend. We chose this spot because it was dog friendly and right next to the beach. They even took a picture of my friend's dog and added it to their collection of Instax pictures of dogs in the dining area. It was sort of tricky to get here from the boardwalk but we figured it out -- you have to walk all the way to the end of Morey's Pier towards a water park and then there are signs that lead to the restaurant. It was a nice, big open space and was also very family-friendly. There was a musician playing live music near where we were sitting as well. There are also options to sit on the beach for the beer garden portion of this spot, and it looked like there are small cabanas to rent out as well. The service was also amazing, our server came around to ask if we needed anything during our meal multiple times. In terms of drinks, I ordered a Jersey Shore frozen drink and my friends all ordered watermelon mojitos. I enjoyed my frozen drink a lot, but only ordered 1 since the drink menu was more on the expensive side for Wildwood. I got the shrimp tacos and my friends ordered the chicken tacos, veggie quesadilla, and brisket quesadilla. My friends really liked the quesadillas but me and my friend that ordered the tacos agreed that they were pretty bland and not well-seasoned. They were also not very filling since only 2 tacos came with each order. Came here looking for shade on the beach and this place was awesome! Live music, good drinks and even better food! We ordered the fries with cilantro dip, the fried fish hoagie and the black tea carafe. Everything was delicious and fresh. The bread for the hoagie was soft and great all on its own but the fried cod was the star of the show here! The place is right on the beach so you can opt for on the sand seating if you'd like. Today was our third time to pig dog and it was such a disappointment. Our first experience in September 2020 was the best, last June 2022 bad, and this year the worst. But we came back thinking it was just an off night. Our server was very kind. But she kept disappearing. At one point she was off cleaning a cabana while we waited and waited for her to come bring us the check for over 20 minutes. She seemed a bit scattered and when she would come over she was very loud and quick to walk away. It was strange. Also, she never offered us another drink (even though we were clearly out or low). The food is really where pig dog struggled, though. We got the nachos and I'm sorry but what a waste! First of all, they were slopped together with stale chips, and queso and salsa from a can. The cheese sauce wasn't even warm and it barely covered the chips. We opted not to get meat since we were getting meals too, but it definitely needed some. The kicker - the plain nachos cost $21 - and it would've been another $6.50 to add meat. Which is absurd for what you get. Don't waste your money on these! Chicken salad sandwich and pulled pork sandwich were both alright. However, the shrimp tacos lacked flavor. The shrimp itself was just plain and then the taco had undressed cabbage, and was supposed to have a sauce and pineapple jicama salsa - but both were in such small quantity you could barely taste them. It was all way too bland - so unless you like that, another skip. All in all, it's pretty disappointing because this could be a great spot with the atmosphere and cool beach views. The games are great too. But the food and service really need to step it up. read more
