Later, I saw more of her work, at the Kuhio Village Towers condo, and, more recently, at the Waikiki Banyan condo/hotel. I'm an eye witness to the fact that she is an absolute ARTIST, GENIUS, and WIZARD, when it comes to plants. She knows plants which can live in a pot indoors, with no sunlight, no fresh air, and little or no watering or fertilizing, i.e., virtually maintenance free, and yet they remain green, healthy, and beautiful, and do not shed any leaves or anything else. They are some kind of cave-dweller plants, and can grow big. Under her direction, the plants and landscaping at the Waikiki Banyan changed from the former "so-so", "okay" job, to a striking exhibit of beautiful artistry and impressive mastery with plants. I've never in my life known of anyone else who is better with plants than Susan Knott of the Why Knott Nursery.

We spoke to several flower companies and none seemed as detailed or responded back as quick as Christine did. We had never met in person but she is very efficient through email. She does get very busy so there were a few times where I had to follow up on a request made but it was not a big deal. She took care of all the boutonnieres for the groom, groomsmen, father of the couple, ushers, and even made mini ones for our tiny ring beareres! For my side she made my bouquet (which I wanted to have our wedding colors in my bouquet of navy blue and gray) and my bridesmaids bouquets which were all white. She also made baby's breath flower crowns for my two flower girls who were different sizes and made the size accordingly. She did the lei for our moms and also for all 25 of our out of town guests. I had wanted more color in my bouquet but I can understand how hard that would be to find navy blue and gray flowers and incorporate them, especially being in Hawaii. But I could tell that she did the best she could. Because our reception was outdoors, we opted not to have any flower decorations. Instead, we wanted to decorate the church aisle. I had asked her for baby's breath posy bouquets on every other row and then ribbon bows on the alternating rows. I sent her a picture of something that I pictured in my head which was very simple. But the bows that she created were BEAUTIFUL. They were wide material and draped beautifully. We ended up using them to redecorate our sweetheart table with them at the reception! I'll try to add some photos for reference. Christine answered all of my questions and was very patient with me in updating our flower plan as I did notice some errors throughout while editing. The haku lei was just beautiful. I can't really comment on value as I am not a flower expert, but I felt comfortable with what I paid. Also, when everything imaginable went wrong on the day of my elopement and I couldn't pick up as planned, Jennifer kindly delivered the flowers to my hotel (for a fee, of course, which is totally reasonable and appropriate)!!!! I heard about Spinning WEB through bridal expo and decided to email just to have options. I had never heard of them so I didn't know what to expect. But Whitney was so amazing from the very beginning. We set up a phone interview to talk, and I emailed her photos of flowers that I liked. She helped me go through different options and worked within my budget to help me get everything I wanted. She even set up a sample of a centerpiece, per my mom's request. It's so hard to know how everything will turn out when you're not the one doing it. I was just hoping things would turn out ok. However, on the day of the wedding, I was so blown away by all the beautiful arrangements!! Our arch pieces were gorgeous and the centerpieces even prettier than the sample. I was so happy with the way everything turned out. Whitney was so easy to work with also. She was so lovely and kind. The attention to detail, sense of urgency, the care for the bride was all spot on. They really do take the stress out of your special day so you can enjoy the beauty of Hawaii. For us specifically, we had family members coming from multiple places and I caught a fever. Thankfully, the Idowedding team hand held us through the entire process from advising which hotel to stay at and what's popular to eat. Their care allows you to stress less. It did not feel like we were going through a cookie cutter machine but rather they viewed us as a project to succeed on which makes all the difference in customer experience. It was helpful during the intake because they ask specific questions to narrow down your search and give you a very easy list of the options for what you are looking for. I do think it would have been a smoother process in the beginning if there was regular communication from the very getgo but it was a little slow as I'm sure they had to prioritize the weddings that were more upcoming. However when it came time closer to our wedding they were definitely very involved in trying to get all details lined up. I had some anxiety with the wedding and whole planning process especially with the weather conditions but there was consistent and constant communication leading up and their advice and suggestions/expertise really helped in making decisions. The day itself was difficult as it was really downpouring right up until the ceremony began but seeing the staff and Cindy and Jessica work so hard for all things to come together was really wonderful and you can tell they really worked hard to make everything come together. Planning a destination is not easy at all and as much of a difficulty it is making decisions, having this team really made it so much easier and you can feel like you can leave it up to them to get everything completed. There were a few hiccups with some items of course that you can expect with all weddings for sure but it was still such an amazing and easy experience that you don't even care about the things that didn't go fully right and just remember the amazing time and the whole wedding that it didn't feel there were any regrets at all. Cindy especially was so good at responses and answering all the nitty gritty that they are such a great team and Jessica really tries to take on the stresses for you so that you're not stressed as the bride. What are you celebrating…read more.. Chances are they have the perfect card for you for all occasions and holidays to give for all ages and what I do love about it is it's unique. These days a typical card is quite pricey so rather than getting a card I've been going quite off the usual yet still nothing beads a handwritten card and thanks to Decowoods you can find that here. It's not just cards but gift cards and gift sets as well and as school starts there were gifts for teachers which makes it easy as many are shopping it's all put together for you. The lady working it is so friendly and helpful to find what we would need and at such great prices for something hand made is special and why I keep browsing over her selections. Thank you!

Shopping in Aiea, O'ahu, Hawai'i…read more.. While at the Kawaii Friends Fair at Pearlridge Center on 7.26.26, Irene pointed out DECOWOODS, a vendor that specialized in homemade greeting cards. This vendor's products are very neat, kawaii, and affordable. I got to mix and match 4 handmade cards for $5. I selected 8 cute cards to make it an even $10 so that I could get a stamp on the Loyalty Card! The nice lady running the booth was very pleasant and friendly! I look forward to seeing her again in a few months. I'll check her Instagram for her next location and dates.
