Cute cozy little floating spa! We spoiled ourselves for our birthdays and decided to go to the spa! We booked well in advance and had a phone chat to confirm the order of the services since we had so many treatments. We started with massages (individual 1-hour), moved on to the salt therapy room, infrared sauna- with color changing for chromotherapy, float session, and foot/heel massage! It was such a relaxing 6hour day! The staff is always SO nice! When we went to get food after I think they thought we were a little high (there's a smoke shop nearby) - we told the staff we just came from the spa after 6 hours and we're hungry!- She said ohh a natural high! Jeanne, the owner, greeted us so warmly and ensured all our waivers were in order before giving us a detailed walkthrough of the float experience. She showed us to the float pods, each in its own private, tranquil room. Let me tell you, they thought of EVERYTHING! Each room was equipped with a luxurious shower stocked with high-quality products (soap, shampoo, conditioner), a robe, earplugs, ear wash, Q-tips--literally every detail was intentional and designed for comfort. For my float, I chose complete darkness and silence (you also have the option of a subtle blue light and meditative music). I wanted to fully immerse myself in the experience, imagining what it would feel like to drift in space, surrounded by God and the angels. The moment I let go, it was transformative. I worked through my fears of claustrophobia and embraced the void--pure stillness, meditation, and eventually, no thoughts at all. It was like being held in the arms of the universe. I went there a while ago...definitely years ago....one time. I didn't last long floating. Had to get out of the pod, grab a towel, walk to the door, and call them to the door once for a problem I had. The problem was resolved but after returning to floating once that problem was resolved I got out early and finally for a second problem. Maybe the whole time from walking in to the business and walking out was 40 minutes? So that includes showering, interruption, showering again, getting dressed and then leaving. Not sure exactly of the time. The impression I got was was that making money was an issue. When I was at the desk paying and ready to leave...the owner asked me for a tip....I was disgusted. I also thought the customer service was bad and that since I had 2 problems and left early and it was my first time trying it that someone into customer service would just reduce the cost for that visit or offer me something if I chose to try again rather than ask for more money in the form of a tip. Plus a tip for what? An owner asking for a tip? Today I am looking at the reviews and when I look at the responses from the owner I am sometimes almost shocked that she tends to blame the customers....wow...a defensive owner instead of a listening owner is hard for me to be around. I do like floating though and have connected with Rehoboth instead...it is far for me...but I am treated politely and nicely as though my experience matters and I matter too. read more

Attention anyone who has fun or interesting hair color: you will have issues here. The place looks nice enough but even if you offer to take above and beyond precautions to protect 1) your hair and then 2) the area, you will not be allowed to enjoy the amenities without potentially being on the hook for a rowdy amount of money. So the one star is because the massage from Tim himself was okay but Tim didn't have a mask on. The mask mandate was lifted very recently and they require their customers to wear them still? Why would he not wear a mask during the service? Questionable but I didn't feel comfortable questioning their business practices. Edit: you can hear the sound of the clock ticking and the room was a bright room not even with black out curtains and dimly lit. Tim complained a lot too. The salt room is not worth your money, four reclining patio chairs in a room with a small table salt machine and some salt around the rooms barrier. Skip this here, I would go elsewhere for that. Good service but half assed here quite honestly. The front desk lady was nice and she means well. Both her and Tim were awkward and he made commentary during the massage like how hot it was and how creepy the chair is, etc etc. Just would recommend going literally anywhere else honestly. Affordable services, clean place, nice and knowledgeable staff. It's all hands-off - the services are provided via machines (baths, chairs, etc). That was fine with me, but I initially expected a hands-on massage when I booked. I recommend this place! I was glad to find this while I was visiting from out of town. read more

I'll start off by saying it pains me to write a review about a local company and fellow business owner, but the owners behavior needs to be documented. Sensory Deprivation has been a part of my health routine for the last 5 years. Its a big thing in cities, and when I recently moved back here from NYC this year I was really excited to learn that there was a facility within 20 minutes of my house. Not only is there a facility, but this is a one of the biggest float rooms I've ever seen. It really is a nice facility. Now to my review.. If we do business, or you know me, I recommend floating to everyone. I have recommended this facility, in fact I came today to buy a float pack as a wedding gift. I just decided to take one since the room wasn't booked at the time I had scheduled to come. The float itself started off good, but about 10 minutes in there was a small buzzing noise like a filter has started. Typically, this happens at the end of the float anyways, so I assumed it would turn off quickly. After about 30 minutes, it was still going. Floating in silence is bliss.. floating in a loud buzzing noise is at a minimum.. annoying. It got to the point where I couldn't stand it and got out. I showered and went out to discuss the float with the really kind red-haired lady that welcomed me. Instead, I was greeted by the business owner, she asked me how the float was. I told her there was an issue; there seems to be some cleaning cycle starting, there was a constant buzz. Before I could finish explaining she tells me "there isn't a noise, I can see right here that there is no cycle going". She then tells me sorry, you're sharing a facility with others and have a nice evening. I leave but then return. At this point, I'm feeling taken advantage of. I paid $80, for one hour in a sensory deprivation tank. This was $80 for a headache, rudeness, and to be made to feel like I am a liar. I explained that I don't want a refund, I don't want money back, I just wanted to let you know that there is definitely a problem with one of your tanks. She then says okay fine show me.. just don't post online. (...??). The whole experience, except for the greeting was horrible. To be honest, all the people I've encouraged to give it a try here, I renege that recommendation and hope that you do give floating a try, just at another place. read more

So after a few days of rain, we thought this spot was excellent since it was indoors and everyone loves a spa day. We decided to get out the salt room. Totally new to me. But you lay there (fully clothed just remove your shoes). They are the lawn chair/adirondack chairs, soft music and just relax in the special lighting. They also offer blankets to get cozy. It's about 45 minutes and just so peaceful. If we had more time, I would definitely check out their other services. read more

Loved his place! Still under construction as of 1/20/17, there is a lot to offer here! I am claustrophobic, so no problem I went into the huge room! Probably could've used the pod too, it's so roomy!!! The salt float was a no brained for me recovering from chemotherapy! The salt detoxed my skin and I left there with my lower back not hurting and that hasn't happened in 25 years!!! Kind owner who will answer all of your questions! POOR, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Staff is very rude and short with you, they keep your card on file and will charge whatever they'd like on your card at will! Bought products on sale and after leaving the facility they decided not to honor the sale price of the products and recharged our card an exorbitant amount of money without any notification due to their mistake! May be a pleasant facility but very shady business practice, don't trust with your card! read more

We had a wonderful time. It was our first float (we had received a gift certificate) so we didn't know what to expect. The experience is incredibly relaxing. The facility itself was incredibly clean and the float chambers were very high tech and comfortable. I highly recommend the deluxe chamber, it was very spacious. Unlike some of the other reviews note, we found the customer service to be great. We received a tour of the other amenities and they were friendly. We will come back when we are visiting Ocean City again! read more

My husband is a Navy Veteran who suffers from chronic neck, back and shoulder pain NOTHING SEEMS TO WORK to relieve his pain. I google natural pain remedies and salt bath popped up and sure enough I found Ocean Elements with-in 24 hours I scheduled my husband for his first 60 min float session in a pod. Once he was done he called me and was ecstatic! He said he felt amazing and was not experiencing his normal pain any more! He decided to join the pathways for veteran program which allows him for the next 8 weeks to have two weekly float sessions as well as provide information on problems veterans may face. I couldn't be happier to hear my husband is starting to feel better due to natural remedies ocean elements is a TRUE MIRACLE I cant wait to see how he will be at the end of week 8! read more

I just wanted to take a moment and recommend anyone who is considering visiting Ocean Elements Salt Spa to reconsider. I booked an appointment at 2pm for a 3pm 20 minute infrared sauna steam. I had my Grandmother with me, who is 89 and she wanted to get out of the house for a bit, so I figured it would be no big deal for her to accompany me on several errands and then we could get an early dinner. We arrived at Ocean Elements and I asked the woman at the front desk if she minded if my Grandmother sat in the waiting room for the 20 minutes I would be in the infrared sauna. She had a magazine to look at and I didn't think it would be an issue. It was hot and I did not want her sitting in the car. Jeannie, who was working the front desk said she can come in the room with you. I told her I didn't think that was a good idea, given that the room gets very hot. I asked again if it would be okay, and she very rudely said "I guess, you should have asked me first". I was taken aback because I didn't think having her sit in the waiting room would be a huge deal. She then commented that my grandmother would not be able to sit in the chairs in the waiting room comfortably because they were rocking chairs. I assured her that the chairs were fine, however at that point I felt like this was obviously causing an issue, so I just decided it would be best to leave. I have worked in the customer service industry for over 10 years and I understand working in any service industry can be difficult and that everyone has bad days. However, I just think it is so important to be kind, empathetic, and tactful when working with the public. It is hard enough taking care of an older family member, and sometimes you do not have the luxury or the finances to hire a caregiver or to leave them alone at home, so you can run errands. I felt like I was treated very rudely at Ocean Elements to the point where I did not want to give them my business, so I was very surprised to see my credit card was charged for the FULL AMOUNT of the service I had originally wanted to get. When I called to follow up on why I was charged for a service I was not given, I was told there was a 24 hour cancellation policy and I had not discussed rescheduling my service with her. Given the fact, I did show up for the appointment and left due to being treated rudely, and the fact I did not receive any treatment, I just think it was morally wrong to charge me, however I did not want to waste time debating this with her. I just wanted to make others aware of how this business treats clientele. I work in Ocean City and I know we are short-staffed and tired, and sometimes working with the public is not easy, however, it is important to be kind and empathetic.
