I confirmed with them they would honor the "you pay what we pay promotion ". They confirmed that would be the case. I went to the dealership to review the order and place a $500. deposit. The whole time I spent at the dealership was 20 minutes. I could not be more pleased with the transaction. I could not say that with my interaction with this Buick dealer. I arrived and the car was ready to test. That went well. When I decided to purchase the car, then came the rules. They needed a $3,500 deposit, and required you finance the car with them to get the "special" purchase price. Once i completed the application, they would not disclose the rate. My credit was tier one and I was putting down 50% of the price. They then required I sign the paperwork that day, not when I was willing to pick up the car. I don't know how successful they are with these business practice, but I will not be a part of it.

Since then we always went to Valentis for any automotive need. When our boys started to drive they too went Valentis. Vern always worked within our budget and sold us great dependable vehicles. Fast forward to a week ago. My car was getting up in years and it was time for a new one. I went to Valenti looking for Vern like I always did. To my utter suprise Vern had retired. There I met a young man named Boof. To say I was wary of him is an understatement. I decided to give him a chance. And I'm glad I did. He listened to what I wanted, showed me the cars I wanted to test drive and showed me other cars similar to what I wanted. After test driving at least 4 different cars he said he had one more. It wasn't the Ford or Dodge I was looking for but a Jeep! Boof just said try this to compare to the others. Long story short it was exactly what I was looking for and didn't even know it!! I bought the car that day and have been happy ever since. Moral of this story...... Went in for a fuel line and serpentine belt replacement. Technician failed to identify both fuel…read moreline were leaking. Charged me for two separate overnight delivers. One overnight delivery took 2.5 days, the other too 3 days.(no idea how that warrants such a exorbitant cost...neither were overnight. The service writer (Steve) did little but make excuses. What should have been 2 days ended being 7. (Delayed repair prevented me from spending time with my daughter's fishing). When I went to retrieve the vehicle the service writer (Steve) again made excuses but did come clean on the fact the sevice mechanic failed to provide the expected diagnostics. The experience was extremely disappointing. I expected Valenti Ram service to do better. I will look for another vehicle service (maintenance) provider and will ensure all my friends, family and colleagues know about the terrible experience i had at Velenti Ram, Mystic Ct.

Finally a friendly gentleman greeted us and a answered some questions and then it was out for a test drive. I don't remember his name but I think he only had one hand. He present the vehicle and I was very impressed by how nice he was and how he answered my questions. Also he did not push me for more information when I only gave my email. It was an awesome vehicle and I really enjoyed the test drive. I would probably by a truck from this Dealer because of my great experience with this sales person.

Stay away from their service department, we've all known about how dealerships charge more for…read moreservice but when they underhanded and sleezy it's time to go... first they replaced a hood patch last year for $130, it broke after one use and when I called when going in for an oil change - oh will take care of you. Taking care is apparently to double the charge and ask for $230, no thanks. Then we'll give you a ride because we need 8 hours to do an oil change and "3 hours" if recall work, oh but when you call to see if it's done after getting a text video from our tech 4 hours prior that the work is done we're not going to give you a ride because the driver went home and no one else knows how to drive a car? Not only that but person in charge of your vehicle won't ring you out we'll have a different person and we'll say with a smirk "oh you found a ride." The attitude and lack of professionalism here was amazing! So many other dealerships in this area to try.

My decision to purchase from Valenti was based on the relationship that had been developed with them 2014; since that time they had been servicing my 1998 Ford Ranger. Also, because I had also developed a relationship with Joel, the Sales Manager, a very professional, pleasant, kind and nice young man, the decision to purchase a pre-owned vehicle from Valenti was a no-brainer. The morning of my purchase, Joel connected me with Paul from Sales & Leasing. Paul has a caring, warm and open personality; he was very professional during the entire buying experience. He was patient, answering all of my questions, and he treated me as if my purchase was the most important purchase of the day. As a matter of fact ALL the staff that day at Valenti made me feel special. Paul showed me the Cruze, explained the vehicle and each segment of the buying process as we went along, up to and including the test drive. After deciding on the Cruze, Paul and Joel obtained the financing I needed (and that fit in my budget); Paul even handled contacting my auto insurance company to make the transfer. Next, I was introduced to David, the Business Manager. He too, was also very kind, professional and courteous. He went over all of the financial papers that needed signatures, explaining each one, step by step, page by page. He was also the liaison between myself and DMV. Because of him, I walked out the door with my new registration and license plates. Throughout the purchasing process there was not one moment that I felt any pressure to buy anything; it was a very pleasurable experience that I will remember for a long time, and because of Joel, Paul, and David and the entire Valenti Ford staff, the stereotype of the pushy and fast-talking car salesperson was thrown out the window! I can't say enough about how well I was treated, which will make me want to return for any future car needs.
