Amazing food! I ordered 2lbs of snow crab legs, 2lbs of headless shrimp and 2lbs of black mussels with Cajun and garlic butter. It was seasoned very well and hot as requested. I took off 1 star due to their only being one piece of aluminum foil to cover this huge pan and butter leaked in my car during transportation. Definitely a good quality seafood place for southern Delco. I enjoyed the lobster tail which came in a boil with corn, potatoes, and broccoli. Excellent Cajun seasoning to all of it as well. The meat was decent. Not the best lobster I've ever had but you can't expect that in Delco. It's good enough. I really loved the corn which was sweet with a good combo of the seasoning. Was tipped off about this delco spot and I'm so glad I made the trip out here for a monster seafood dinner. Best enjoyed in groups, we ordered several combos and threw in a bunch of sausages for a six person feast. The combos are the way to go because they come with veggies, which soak up the sauce in the most amazing way. There wasn't anything we didn't love, but the shrimp particularly is amazing. Loved the house special seasoning. They also have individual cans of beer and six packs to purchase and drink there at retail value if that floats your boat. It does get messy! No pictures because most of the food is eaten with your hands. They provide gloves, bibs, and towelettes, so do not fear. However, your hands will be busy! Our server was extremely good natured and friendly. It was our first time trying something like this and he showed us the ropes. We had a lot of fun and enjoyed a social, slow moving dinner. Inside is huge and they have plenty of space for large groups, although I did call ahead to say we were coming and they did appreciate that. The price for what you get is unbeatable. People in the past have complained about the rude guy on the phone before. I have not talked to anyone that was rude. Every time I have called, the person has been nice, friendly & prompt. They had nails in my food, called me a liar and said there are no women working there. Two grub hub delivery drivers who were there told me that there was women working there while I stood there. There were women working there and I have no nails! They told me they were going to call the cops on me, so I called the cops myself. They told me I put the nail in there and came back for $20. I went here with my girlfriend and I got wings and she got a seafood boil. The wings gave me explosive diarrhea and a stomach virus. I was told at work that this place had good seafood. I placed my order and was given a 27 min pick up. I arrived on time but the order hadn't been put in yet. They actually waited for me to get there and pay before starting to work on the order. The dining room had two tables occupied and one table customers were finished. This is the worst part. I didn't want seasoning on my crab legs but let the server talked me into getting seasoning on the side. I confirmed twice that I did not want seasoning on the crab legs. I waited about 20 - 24 minutes for my order to discover once I get home (20 minutes) that everything is seasoned and tossed into a plastic bag. All the food was an orange color with a strong garlicky smell that had me later airing out my house. But I thought, let me try it, maybe I would like it. No, I did not like it. The garlic taste was overwhelming. I barely ate any of the crab legs, none of the corn, broccoli, and potato but ended up with headache. I brushed my teeth 3 times to get the taste out of my mouth. Then threw away the tooth brush. I contacted the store to speak to a manager who asked me to bring food back (really) and they will do over. I explain that I'm 20 minutes away, he then offers me a 20% discount on my next meal. I said "No thank you, your store just lost a potentially good customer". I find no reason to give them another chance. The money was a lost but I will use the experience to tell everyone my story over and over. So I called back again and dialed *67 and the Call Ocean House employer picked up so I reminded him who I was and I told him who I was and that I was going to speak with the Collindale council and the mayor of Collingdale and then he for the first time repeated to say I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry and I said that you shouldn't talk to customers in the community who are supporting your business like this. Was looking for something close to our hotel and came across this hidden gem! If you're looking for ambiance this is not your place. But if you want good seafood in a friendly atmosphere this is it! There were 7 of us and we walked right in and had a seat. The majority of people got takeout but we still got our order taken quickly and received our food just as fast. I had the bag combo with shrimp and crawfish and it was really good! I recommend getting the house seasoning as well. It was more than I could eat but it was delicious. I am not a fan of the delco restaurants or cook style but I must admit the seafood boil from Ocean House is my favorite of them all. I was actually trying to figure out how to get food delivered from The Shake seafood on cottman avenue but they wouldnt deliver to delco. I was even tempted to have it delivered to a relative's house in the city, then have it ubered from there to me. But I decided to give this place a try. And it was the best decision I've made.
