I MADE OUT LIKE A BANDIT!!!!…read more Giving two kids - 9 and 11 y ears old - a $20 budget for Christmas/Hanuka shopping made me tense given that we were headed to Walmart... However little 9 year old princess convinced her brother and myself that this store was the place... We relented to her. Alas I havent been in that area much, but I do know that Spring Valley had an itsy bitsy AS. Not anymore people! Apparently they are in place of the huge PathMark that used to be there. Although the "local"s are nosy and pushy (sorry, i speak the truth) the kids heaped up gifts that were really smart and fun. My little princess had to have her "maybe" pile and the little guy was pensive adding numbers and choosing wisely. It did take a while, but I'll tell ya - what a huge selection. We walked out with so much stuff, from make your own jewelry box, hello kitty teddy that opened to a blanket, basketball, school lunch bag with a cool key chain, pens, lip gloss that I am highly considering next years budget to be $10.... Great bang for your buck.

Shopping here is not a bad experience, if you avoid using their toilet, and ignore the sorry state of hygiene in their fitting room. I sometimes visit this location and its affiliate shops nearby (Sierra Trading Post, Homegoods, T. J. Maxx, etc.) to check out their shelves of beauty and hair products. It's a hit or miss type of browsing. Sometimes one can find reputable and organic brands at a hugely discount price, including products from New Zealand, Australia and South Korea. I usually scan the barcode on the packaging on my Yuca app to check if the product is safe.There isn't much service on the floor, but the fitting room attendant and the cashiers are all very friendly.

I wish I visited that mall, but thank goodness for old photos and memories. The facility looks very nice with many high-end and upscale stores, which you'll find in other outdoor malls as well. Most of the stores I saw outside have a great variety to choose from, with so much to offer. Although that may be true, some of the upscale stuff may not be eye-appealing to some, but everyone's taste is different. There are a couple of retail stores that ring a bell, such as Gap, At Home Furniture, Loft, Bath & Bath Body Works, and Stop & Shop. While exploring, they also provide entertainment, and also dining as an alternative of a number to pick. It's easy to get around, and a map is provided in different areas of the place, which is not hard to miss. In its condition, I see The Shops thriving in the years to come. I wouldn't consider it the place of returning to any time soon due to how far I am, and also my interests in terms of stores. On the flip slide, the changes that occur are what draw my attention, and will be back to observe for that purpose (along with other Shops and Malls). Two other sales associates were there, but really enjoying their personal conversation as I walked around looking lost. No acknowledgment even as I walked right past them. I somehow made eye contact with one of the women at the register. All she said to me from the register was "how are you, everything is 25% off." I smiled, took a pause and realized they have no intention of helping me, so I left and shopped at another store where two sales associates went above and beyond to help me find a holiday outfit with no mention of the deep 60% discount I would be receiving. I received an additional 15 % on text! I wasn't even shopping for a discount, so it was a pleasant surprise. Usually, this location has excellent customer service, so it was surprising. I may go back, but for the price point, would expect some level of appropriate customer service.

In some aisles you'll find additional discounted things but these are usually the dredges. If you're into not paying full price, it's the store for you.

The parking lot has a strange layout and I recommend parking in the strip of spots on the side of the building for easy entry and exit. Items are priced pretty fairly for the most part, considering it's used merchandise. If sometime seems expensive, don't buy it. All items are tagged with a colored tag and each day offers a discount on items with certain colored tags. E.g. 50 % off Today, I bought 3 things for a Halloween costume, all of which had red tags on a red tag day. To my surprise, all red tagged items were $1. Wow. So, you'll find some great deals if you browse and will even find unique items, novelties, antiques. One of the coolest items I found in great condition a year ago was a blue stuffed kangaroo. It wasn't just any kangaroo. It's a Cheeroo kangaroo from the 1980's! So cool.
