The class was a fast paced total body workout that included the treadmill, bike, tower and weights that could be modified to the various fitness levels of my bridesmaids. Kathy's coaching style was perfect for our group - she pushed us to work harder and motivate us, but was extremely personable. We had a great time, worked up a sweat and got to finish the class with mimosas. If I lived near the studio I would definitely attend fitness classes at elevate on a regular weekly basis!

Yes that's right when you become a member you can go to any burn nation wide. This location is awesome and full of energetic motivating women that will make your workout so much fun it will fly by. Burn Boot Camp provides 45min non stop sessions that will get your heart pumping. I have lost 60 pounds and in the process gained a family of strong women that are cheering me on through the process. They have child watch which is included in your membership. As well as one on one nutritional guidence and to discuss your goals and the best way to accomplish them. Despite being in the college hub, I don't think URI kids make up the majority of the students at Bend. I will make the journey to South County for Nicole Defelice & Isabella Sanderson, two instructors who teach regularly at Bend. Both primarily teach power vinyasa. Both play excellent music in the studio when they're teaching. Both are so joyful, challenging, & fun. Both are 2 of the best yoga instructors I've ever had the pleasure of practicing with. Nicole is a biologist & frequently weaves animal themes into her classes. She knows exactly how to explain micro-adjustments & motions that make the practice more accessible & enjoyable. I've unlocked advanced poses & maintained difficult arm balances thanks to Nicole's instructions. Isabella might be a sadist, but I say that in the most complimentary way possible. Her classes can be incredibly grueling, but if you stick with it, your endurance, strength, flexibility, & balance will improve immensely. Both Nicole & Isabella are the kinds of instructors you hope you're lucky enough to come across once in your lifetime. Somehow, Bend has secured them both. They're precious cargo. They also probably deserve a raise. Thank you, Nicole & Isabella, for nurturing my practice for years now. I never would've become the yogi I am now without the two of you. A note for the owner - I love the updates you've made to the studio over the last few years. My only humble suggestion is to put different lighting in the lobby/common areas. After picking out an appropriately G-rated movie, we would drive back home and load up the microwave with popcorn, inevitably burning it every time. The popcorn bowl was a giant blue plastic behemoth that no one ever remembered buying, like it just appeared in the kitchen one day through an act of God. Got a 5 star welcome this morning at westerly crossfit. Everyone was super friendly, introducing…read morethemselves to the newbie even though I wasn't there to crossfit. I came to lift, and boy did I come to the right place! Jared, the owner, is a master lifter and you can tell he put together the lifting area exactly how he would want it! There are multiple jerk boxes, squat racks, platforms and tons of plates! And all in kg! I was impressed by his facility for sure. Drop-ins are a reasonable priced at $15, and bc I'll be back he gave me the first drop in free. I'm considering a move back to ri, and if I do you can be sure this will be a place I will consider calling home base!
