Went there July 3rd and got a half bushel of L-XL crabs. They were one of the few places that had any crabs that day. The crabs were not ready on time, but they were excellent flavor and good and heavy. I also got some fried oysters which were excellent. The place needs to get more organized with record keeping and planning but the people were nice and food was great. read more

We have gone here for three years and it has progressively declined in service. You don't expect much in a basic goods exchange, I ask for a fish you have it or you don't. We have waited in previous attempts to purchase for the owner to come in to unlock a freezer so we could get snow crab legs, we have waited and been patient. I like to support small business, and especially one in a community like Oceanview. What is unacceptable is to keep people waiting for over 45 mins telling us you have crab legs or lobster tails in the back, going back, coming up front telling us they are working on it, but are doing inventory on Memorial Day weekend. Then taking other orders, forgetting about us, then having to ask status, going to the back room again only to come back and indicate a quantity change or you no longer have this amount. This happened three times while we waited to finally be told you have no lobster tails only live lobsters, and no crab legs. We said we were out and we wasted 45 mins. We were lucky we hadn't prepaid, other customers who had gotten there before us and were just picking up crabs weren't as lucky and were still waiting. read more

We got a bushel of crabs for a family party and overall we were quite satisfied. Some of the crabs were light but overall they were cooked and seasoned to perfection and our order was right on time. We added a pound of steamed shrimp half seasoned with old bay half plain. They added the paper for us which was nice. My family always goes to the very local Ocean View Family restaurant which is next door so I thought to call this place after some other competitors were closed. Service was efficient and friendly. 3rd time ordering from here and a solid one once again! Ordered a half bushel of a mix of xxl, jumbo, and premium... Total crab snob and typically a half bushel of med/lg typically equals 36 crabs or whatever fits in the half bushel box... Received more like 4/5 a bushel in a bushel box. 39 all heavy crabs and big fat and uglies! They go by weight, but for the 3 different sizes ordered they ranged from (6.75-8.25 inch point to point). Remember I ordered a mix of the 3 largest. All had both claws attached which is rare to unheard of. Even when even ordering at a restaurant, let alone 39 of these tasty uglies So now to quality... Well... Fricking AWESOME!!!! Steamed to perfection!!! Not a single watered cracked claw, not a one mushy crab. Each leg could be detached and pull meat from the body. Most people toss the crawling legs, but snap these guys at the knuckle and you get easy extra meat! Very rare! Up next... employees... So incredibly friendly, professional, and humble. So humble you will miss all the awards on the right hand wall of her deep sea fishing. She'll school you. Ultimate fail. Called to get crab prices. Then stopped in in person to place order. The woman working took down our credit card number in order to place the order. After writing it incorrectly several times she told us she needed additional time to prepare the order. This was at 430; they said 6 pm would be the next available time. We left and showed back up at 615 pm...the shop was shut down with doors locked, and all signs inside. After knocking on the door the same woman reappeared stating "we're closed!" She had never placed our order or started it. NEVER AGAIN. read more

Large meaty crabs nicely seasoned with excellent flavor. Reminds me of when I had creme brulee at the Four Seasons in Philadelphia; after that there was no point in trying anyone else's. My family and I bought a half bushel of med/lg crabs from here. This was one of, if not the worst, order of crabs we have ever had after 20+ years of coming to the area. Disappointed. Saw an article in the local Coastal Point paper about the new ownership, and their attention to hand picking every crab sold to make sure of it's quality, so I thought I'd try them and support a local business. Mistake. XXL crabs were $85 a dozen and just under 6" to 6" point to point. They had too much seasoning, about 4 were paper shells, and they gave us exactly 12 (other places throw in an extra). When you're spending $85 for XXL's you're expecting large crabs...not the case. My God, if these 6"& under crabs were XXL, how small were mediums and larges?! Ed's Chicken and Crabs in Dewey was our favorite, but since the recent tragic fire destroyed it, we'll go back to Steamers in Millville, a definite runner up!! read more
