Bowling lanes are really nice.
Rob H.

Food is always incredible and the staff is always helpful. Everything is pretty affordable but laser tag is like $20 a round which lasts 30 min. It's a two story laser tag arena so I think it's definitely worth it. You make reservations online for your times because they fill up quick. Weekends in the winter are super packed but if you go on a weekday you pretty much get the place to yourself.

We went there with a large group, I had never been before for bowling or comedy night and we did both, we use the mini bowling room which is a private room with bartenders assigned to our room and it was outstanding! We had so much fun bowling with these mini balls and pins! It was reasonably priced because there were so many people to share the cost; perfect for a birthday party or work event! The food was delicious! I ordered a mule for my drink and it was on the weak side for sure, like didnt notice any alcohol, so that was kind of a bummer. I ended up ordering a beer afterward because we were there for the evening, attending the comedy night in the next room which was awesome! What a great time!!

I have been to Ocean5 so many times. There is so much to do there from bowling, to golfing on the screen, there's a full arcade and a full restaurant. Very nice and classy place and always a great time. This is a painting class I went to in the coffee shop and had such a good time. Friend staff and instructors.

This was some of the artwork.

We were pleasantly surprised to find such an upscale restaurant on a whim. The food was amazing and the service was great. Very large portions and great drinks! There was no dress code.Which was buried because we have been camping. But right when you walk in, you feel like you stepped into an uplace that you want to go back, plus the artwork was beautiful.

Originally having ventured over the bridge for another bowling location, two spots (Puyallup and Federal Way) were either completely filled due to leagues or had a 45 minute wait time for a lane. I drove back over to Gig Harbor and met my friend at Ocean5 for duck pin bowling. The atmosphere when you walk in is upbeat and playful. There is laser tag and an arcade area to one side, and the bowling lanes to the other side. It's connected with Table47 and I believe the food you order comes from there. My friend and I shared the pretzel bites with cheese, pretty good for a quick bite. We were able to play two and a half games of duck pin bowling between two people. The pins were having issues with resetting toward the end, but the staff were great in helping us reset the pins and even gave us some extra time to bowl. Now that I know this is on my side of the bridge, I'm going to regular this game spot!

UPDATE: Ocean 5 reached out to me, and. I was impressed with the speed and the solution. I would say this is a good business model as they clearly care about the customers experience. "Cindy, I whole heartdly agree with you. I apologize for the less than ideal experience. How many people were in your party? I will make an envelope for you to pick up for another laser game on us! The fog solution has been ordered. We would love for you to come back when it arrives. Thank you for your thoughtful feedback." The laser tag arena was clean and the equipment seemed to work well. What was a HUGE disappointment and detracted from our experience was there was no fog. Without the fog it was MUCH easier to see and find each other. When I mentioned that it wasn't on and we should be compensated to come back again when things are all working, my request was ignored and I was told they have been out of the fog juice for months and haven't gotten any. As a consumer that is NOT my problem and I should get the experience I paid for.

Went for the first time for my daughters birthday to play arcade games and the lady at the front was awesome and offered to show us around. We will definitely be back!

Best spot to take the family out for an evening of bowling arcades, virtual golf, or laser tag. Make sure to set a reservation in advance.

I would suggest that they make it more clear that that package only includes duckpin bowling.

We do love pinball, but we might have come along this place randomly. It's been busy the few times we have been, which tend to be weekend afternoons. Lot of machines available, seems like frequent tournaments are going on. According to pinball map they have 24 machines, which is pretty large compared to some places. Not so busy you can't play though, prices are comparable. It doesn't seem too claustrophobic like some places, lots of space to move around. Full bar and friendly service. Places to sit. Definitely check this out if you like pinball. I don't think they have food, but I could be wrong.

The play area side is perfect for little ones and toddlers. They have games that are fun & easy enough for a 3 year old too. They don't allow outside food or drinks, and their selection of food/drinks isn't the best in my opinion. No French fries, which is my toddlers main source of nutrition these days lol. But we're not going here for the food. All in all this place gets 5 stars from me!

Kids 1+ love it (depending on how much they like climbing) - with an area for "4 and under" and some ball play areas and a mini slide for littles. Odyssey 1 is kept cleaner than most places so that's a bonus and if you pay attention you can figure out where your child is. Occasionally you might have to crawl in for a lost toddler and the structures are sturdy (try not to climb in because it's not adult sized!). It can still be a little dirty but again, better than some places. Older kids might tire of the play area and go on over to the arcade side or do laser tag. Food includes pizza and drinks, and loads of people do birthday parties. I've seen adults sit and work along the side or in the seating area with tables. It's not very expensive and if your little one is under a certain height they are free with another paid entry. Adults are free.

Despite hearing about past…read moreincidents with protesters, I wanted to give this place a chance, hoping it had redeemed itself into a positive local spot. Unfortunately, the experience was completely ruined by the service. The owner, Les, was incredibly rude and unprofessional. When I politely asked why several of the machines weren't working, he responded with a short temper and a condescending tone that is unacceptable for any business owner. While my kids were able to play on the few functioning games, it is clear the establishment is being run down. You have to invest in your equipment; there is no point in staying open if you aren't honest about the fact that a majority of your games are out of order. As someone who runs a corporate firm, I know that respect and transparency are the foundations of customer service. If Les dislikes his business or his guests this much, he should sell it to someone who will actually appreciate the establishment and its customers. It seems obvious that this place will continue to struggle if the owner doesn't start actually caring for his business.

Understandingly, a lot of games (and the upstairs pinball area) were unavailable due to remodeling. What was harder to overlook was the service at the bar. I'm looking forward to seeing the final remodel, but I hope the service experience improves by the next time I swing by.

Let's face it's an entire convention center room dedicated purely to vintage arcade & Pinball machines. The 3 day festivities are in June at the Tacoma Convention Center. I defiantly anticipate kicking my summer off by launching into my inner geek fest for hours on end. $ 20 to $25 per day is the admission price and the game play free unlimited playing. As a child I played with a pocket full of quarters at the arcade and now it's free once you pony up the admission fee. My favorite games I played this year was the new KISS Pinball machine. Amazing graphics and lightening fast ball action with amazing play. You'll be blown away by the newest features built into this machine. Heck you can even pick which KISS song you want it to play during the game. Also the multi ball play is insane. Ball's are flying everywhere and if you lose one another shots back onto the playing field. Very hyper and sometimes keeps you to focused on the play. Aerosmith 2017 machine was ok, so after a few plays I walked away instead of "Walk This Way". The Metallica Pinball machine was a nice playing machine however AC/DC's 2017 Pinball machine is awesome and should win the 2017 hyper play award. The fact the Angus bares his buns at the end of the game to give you a "MATCH PLAY" number is hilarious. New Batman Pinball machine came out. Kinda ironic since Adam West who played Batman died a few days ago. Vintage games like PAC MAN, Donkey Kong , Tempest & Astroids are line up in the gaming section of the floor. All the games you'll remember from childhood are there to play and as many times as you want. Most fun you'll have in an afternoon in Tacoma , so folks put it on your calendar for next year.

First impression and immediate note in my head is that this place is freakin' spendy. For the three of my kids, plus grippy socks (didn't realize that was a requirement) it was $93. Most play places are definitely not that steep. That aside, we had a great time here. My kids loved it! There's so much to do. There's an arcade, a climbing wall, multiple bounce houses, and a giant play structure with fun slides. Plus a smaller play structure for toddlers! We were here for almost two hours and they were so tired when we left (the whole point!) Also, LOVE that they have the Watering Hole here for adults! We treated ourselves to a couple of drinks while the kids had a blast. You're able to walk around with the drinks too which is awesome. The selection is kind of limited and the wine wasn't my favorite (switched to a local IPA after that) but it is a fun added bonus for the parents. We also got a cheese pizza while here and that was a little expensive too ($25) but it was actually pretty huge and it actually was pretty tasty. Kids were definitely happy with it. We plan on booking this spot for our son's 3rd birthday party in May and honestly the prices aren't too bad for how many kids they allow and everything they supply.
