The staff is not welcoming at all. The young girl at the counter has no customer service. No greetings or salutations. No thanks for coming. Very run down. Obviously no money goes into maintenance. I almost fell down and hit my head on the concrete due to some very uneven terrain. Lucky for me a colleague was behind me and able to stop me from falling. Young lady working at the club house has had no training in customer service. Today was my first visit after many years of not visiting. General vibe: It's fun for an hour or so; but the place is need of serious repairs. The grounds were neglected and in need of landscaping. The fixtures were crumbling and in need of paint. Water fixtures were empty or filled with filth. The turf had holes and stains, and was so worn in places that it caused the balls to veer off course. The balls bounced out of the holes half the time because of the plastic material used. Sand would be so much better!! The fencing around the golfing area does not keep the balls in so you could potentially have to run after it in the street. (Happened to us!!) We stopped keeping score after the 4th hole because it was such a struggle for everyone in our group to play so we just decided to make up our own rules. read more

It's a mini golf place, in Parkland..what do you expect? The Good- It's cheap, and breezy being right next to the highway. Has 3 different challenge levels to choose from. The Bad- It's cheap. Old fake turf everywhere, a couple holes have new turf. Tree roots overturning pathways and encroaching on holes. Avoid parking in the 6" deep 12' wide puddle that is there 323 days a year. The Ugly- It's evident the owners have almost given up to keeping up this place. From the derelict and water feature-less half decayed pirate ship to the barren easy holes with barely any features, water traps, etc, it leaves much to be desired. The huge trees everywhere rain down a constant torrent of leaves, cones, seeds, etc landing in the play areas. The Skinny- It's a mini golf place in Parkland.....what did you expect? Cheap, but still fun. And if you can or want to overlook all the cosmetic issues, it can fill an hour and a half of your day for 10-20$. read more

Drove past this place a million times...finally came to check it out. They have several different courses for different level players...which made it easier to social distance since people weren't all playing the same course. We chose the purple course and it went well for us. You are close to the freeway so sometimes you are smelling car exhaust and other vehicle smells. I came here with some family members just to get out of the house and do something, when we drove in the place looks a little old and run down but it works. The prices were pretty cheap so that was a plus, there are 3 courses not 4, we took the hard course and it was well, hard. If your looking for some cheap fun then this is your place! As far as parking goes that's not a problem, they have a huge parking lot and you can see from the course, so it's super convenient if your like me and paranoid about getting broke into. Let me just add this place is not trashy at all so don't think I added that comment hinting it may happen. Moving on to pricing. They offer a military discount, I think I paid like 6 or 7$ a person for a game that lasted about 2 hours, that speaks for itself. Totally worth it and again cheap fun. The employees are always very nice too. We like them guys, so don't go in and be a dick. They also have a ton of options for snack foods and drinks you can purchase. The course, well it's amazing or I wouldn't be leaving a 5 star review. Seriously though it's huge!!!!!!!!!!!! They have a ton of different options and two different courses. The one on the left is hard, on the right is the easy course. I have done both and found them equally fun. I personally like the harder one cause it last longer but the easy one looks super cute so I tried it too. You do have to pay for each course they are not both included in the price I gave you. You do get a little score card, which I love! I'm a super competitive person so it's important for me that everyone I'm with knows just how much I'm kicking their asses. Finally! When you go to leave you can tell them what place everyone won in. They give you these super cute little ribbons, again so you know who's the real winner. I would highly recommend this place for birthday party's or even a cute little date. I always have a good time when I come and will be back at it again this summer. read more

What a fantastic mini golf place! Came here with a group of friends for a night out. We're a random assortment some who were rather serious about their mini golf, others who were just having fun. All of us had a blast. There are several "Courses" depending on your skill level. Best part, the prizes. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place ribbons! Get a hole in one on the last hole and you get a trophy. An actual Golf Trophy! From the road it doesn't look like much but this was one of most fun mini golf courses I've played. read more

My son is 5 and had never been mini-golfing, so I took him on a Saturday to teach him. This place is GREAT for young kids because it offers 4 different courses. Two of them are easy, and 2 of them are medium/hard. The place is well-kept, the woman working the counter was very nice, and the location is in a decent area. I really like this place because any course you play after your first course is only $3.00 per person. You also get $1.00 off coupons for every game that you get a hole-in-one on. What was really nice is that you get ribbons when you return your clubs to the clubhouse. My son was excited to get a ribbon because he felt like he beat me:) Overall a good experience. I don't play miniature golf often but every once in a while I REALLY want to go do it. Like last night for instance. So I went over here last night to do some putt putt golf. I was very impressed! The place is divided into four(!) zones or courses ranging from easy to difficult. Most of the miniature golf courses I have been to in the past usually just have two courses and the usually the bad ones just have one. So coming here and seeing that was a real treat and I took advantage of playing all four! This miniature golf place has plenty of challenging spots to get your ball in a hole but without struggling too much( in most cases) and that is what makes it fun! Some spots though come out of the blue on the intermediate courses when you think they actually belong in the highest difficulty range, but hey that is ok! Inbetween the courses the lady at the counter would ask if I got a hole in one and if I did(I got about four the whole night) then she would give me a dollar off coupon towards my next visit. The first course costs $6.50 and each additional course is $3.50. They were so super nice here! In fact on "The Hill" course my ball bounced out of the fence and into the parking lot, rolling under the cars. They were so nice about it and gave me another ball without question so I could finish the course. Some of the places you golf through are very challenging as I said before but this miniature golf place adds some cool elements to the game. Quite a few the hole is near a tree trunk which is part of the game and the tree roots that make slopes in the astro turf so your ball has additional challenges to conquer but it is all possible! So taking advatage of the natural surroundings aspect was really cool here! This putt putt seems to be an older place and so there are none of the big bells and whistles that you see in really high tech miniature golf where technology responds and plots against you from getting the ball in the hole or how something may respond to your performance on one stage of a course(See Adventure Golf's review in Westminster, Colorado or The Lagoon in Salt Lake City for an example of what I mean). But that is ok! Using nature as part of the course made the experience unique and memorable! I had a fun evening! read more

It's a rare occasion that I am drunk before noon. In fact, I could count on my fingers how many times I've done it. Maybe on one hand. If I start out a review of a mini-golf joint with that statement, you have correctly assumed that my friends and I arrived in rare form. It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon, with blue skies and nary a cloud. Our polyester leisure suits were cooled off by our aviator sunglasses. Parkland Putters is formed of a lumpy concrete terrain tucked into a cozy armpit formed by highway 512 and its offramp. The red-lettered sign is visible from a great distance, drawing in the intoxicated, the elderly, and beginning readers, all with equal efficiency. As we bellied up to the cash register, we each selected our own neon-colored ball, matching our outfits, naturally. There are multiple courses to choose from, of varying levels of difficulty. The owners must have taken warmly to our appearances, as they piped a heaping helping of Hall & Oates, Phil Collins, and other tasty vittles over their stereo system. Or maybe that was just the music in my head. I really don't remember. In any case, we putted our way around the course, and kept as honest score as possible, given the circumstances. In the end, I scored really high, which, as it turns out, is not the object of the game. But no matter: the owners kindly pinned a pink ribbon to my shirt reading "LAST PLACE". They do have 4 different courses (18 holes each) so usually you don't have a long wait and they are at different challenges. Have been going here for 30 years, and in those 30 years today is the most delapitated the property has looked. Weeds everywhere, turf pulling up on half the holes on the boat course. Rocks all over the greens. Grass is now all weeds, garbage cans minus the lids, etc. The back course not as bad. Its been awhile since I'd been, I told my son must be a new owner, and sure enough kid at front desk said owner has only had it 2 years, it didn't take long. read more

I love this place. I spent a lot of time hanging out here when I was in high school and I still come by here on the occasional date or just to do something different with friends and family. It's outdoors so make sure to be aware of the weather before deciding to come here for a great time. There are 4 courses to choose from and there is varying difficulty. On the front side of the building you have 3 courses to choose from and there is one out back as well. One of my favorite things about Parkland Putters is how there is a lot of variation and thought put into their courses. They don't do anything gimmicky like making you shoot a ball through a clown face while animatronic chimpanzees dancing in front of the hole but the holes are well designed and challenging... some of the holes are infuriatingly difficult to get a hole-in-one on due to skill. But as my grandpa was known to say... if you can choose between skill and luck choose luck. The owner's keep the place in pretty good repair and the prices are fair. If you get some hole-in-ones or a hole-in-one on the 18th shot you earn discount coupons and/or free games (or trophies for those of you with a trophy tree). They also give you a discounted rate for your second (third, fourth and fifth?) games. This is a great family run business and it a great way to enjoy an afternoon or evening in the spring and summer. I'm a huge fan! read more

This place is one of very few outdoor activities people can do in Tacoma. I've been here countless times with large groups of friends and I've always had fun. This place is the type where who you bring really determines your experience. Parkland Putters has 4 courses to choose from, varying by level of difficulty. I've never done the 2 harder courses, but the 2 other ones are pretty entertaining. They give you a score card to keep track and then give ribbons according to who won. What a shame that this place doesn't have a better rating, or more reviews for that matter! The husband took me here, deeming this place one of his favorite places for putt putt. Yay, I was excited. There are four courses to choose from each one increasing in difficulty. Excited to play and ready for a challenge we chose the hardest one. The nice thing about picking the hardest is that there aren't a lot of others on the course. The course was a lot of fun and quite challenging, but I managed to land a couple holes in one. The whole facility is quite nice. It's extremely shaded and pretty well kept up. I really really enjoyed my time here. They hand out ribbons depending on your rank, which is always exciting for someone like me and you get a dollar off coupon if you hit a hole in one.
