I wanted to take my employees out for the night to have a great time and hangout together. I ordered a round of drinks for everyone, one of my employees ordered a round for everyone. I ordered bbq pulled pork nachos but the waiter told us that he couldn't serve our party anymore. The assistant manager would take care of it. She refused to serve the party anymore drinks and didn't serve me my food until we were about to leave. If you are anything other than white don't visit this establishment. So I'm not a huge fan of arcades. I loathe every dave n busters I've ever had to go to. This place is amazing. Helpful staff who welcomed us at the entrance, were flexible with the deal we had. We had a great time playing in the arcade, watching games on the huge screens, and sitting in the fire room. Food we had was good. The fact you can play 10 pin or duck pin is awesome. I usually don't like to give poor reviews. I am the type of person that can find the good in most places. I had trouble finding the good in this place. This is a decently new establishment, so I understand that they still might be ironing out some wrinkles. Fathers day my husband wanted to try a new place and have some fun with the kids. Why not try a new place that offers laser tag, 2 types of bowling, dinner, and an arcade? Walking in the atmosphere is great but since the restaurant wasnt open yet if we wanted to eat we could order from the limited bowling menu. There was over a hour wait until there would be a lane available, plenty of time to grab a quick bite to eat right? Wrong. We sat in the lounge area as instructed and waited patiently. It took a long while for them to take our order, the food was cold and when we asked for salt for our french fries it didnt come so we had to ask another staff member for salt on our undercooked cold fries. We waited a hour for our food to come out and was very disappointed with what there was to offer. I then got my text about the lane being ready. The staff checked in with us and told us it was ok to finish our food in the lounge then bowl. A few minutes after we were told that a different staff member said they had someone reserve the lane after us so could we please hurry and pack up our food to move to our lane. We decided to allow our kids to finish at the table and miss out on bowling. We spent almost 2 hours at Ocean 5 and were very dissatisfied with our experience. I LOVE this place. Being a teen it's a great place to go to hang out. If, like me, you want to eat without spending loads of money, then I recommend the giant pretzels or street tacos. At about 5 dollars each it's filling and delicious. the arcade is awesome, the bowling and duckpin is awesome, everything here is great. Table 47 restaurant is okay. We just returned from my 8-year old's laser challenge birthday party, and I feel compelled to write a review. The ease of booking, prompt communication and attention to detail prior to our arrival had already made me confident that I made a good choice. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by courteous staff and were escorted to a private room. The food, party leaders (Spencer with Nolan, and Miah as concierge) were all pleasant and helped make our entire group feel special. Laser tag was fun and the arcade has games that will appeal to all ages. The price was 100% commensurate with the experience we had and I am thrilled to support an environmental steward. Super long wait for bowling alley. With young kids it wasn't worth the wait. For a family with very young kids, we had a hard time time finding a table that we could have a high chair at. The food quality was good, but it seemed like they were trying too hard to be high end rather than providing slightly elevated standard bar food. The kids menu definitely needs some work. Chicken tenders don't necessarily to be Panko breaded and a side order of fancy French fries for a 4 year old were $6 and more fit for a gastro-pub. The other options were a burger or a veggie plate. Pros- the staff was super friendly and very attentive. They probably had more staff than needed but that was a good thing because someone was always checking on you. read more

Horrible bowling lanes! It's not real bowling and there was gum stuck to the lane. They don't even have Jack Daniels in the bar. We had a terrific time Saturday evening bowling. We rented the Harbor Suite, with the great celebrations package. I would suggest that they make it more clear that that package only includes duckpin bowling. We were under the impression we could do both. I had never duckpin bowled before but it was a blast. I had a work party there and we had great service. Initially there was some confusion with the scheduling we adjusted our time andOcean 5 made it well worth the inconvenience. Gig Harbor still doesn't have a bowling alley..... I was absolutely shocked with how terrible of an alley it was given the $$$. Plastic lanes, plastic pins, string setting, inaccurate scoring, narrow lanes, only glow bowling, no 3 or 5 foot arrows, etc.. However, the place has ten employees for what a typical alley has one or two, so the service is a bit over the top..... Laser tag was good though. read more

I am completely disappointed in this establishment and shocked with their customer service. I try to support local business since my family owns a small business but this one deserves a 0 star if possible. We were all excited about trying out this place since the aesthetics and building looked amazing and we recently moved to Gig Harbor. I attended my husbands work party, we had 2 lanes with 10 people ( the entire group was 30+ or older). My husbands supervisors paid for 2 hours on the lanes. Right when we got our lane, the server (Brenden) ordered our drinks and nachos. The service was a bit slow to receive our drinks, but we were understanding since it was a Saturday. After we finished our first game (roughly 40 mins into our 2 hours) we ordered 8 lemon drops on happy hour. We were then cut off from ordering any more drinks. The assistant manger ( An older white women ) cut us off and was rude and racist. She would explain her reason to my husbands supervisor who is white and when others of our group who were not white wanted clarification on why we were cut off, she would have an attitude and used her assistant manager card by saying it was her call. Please keep in mind not everyone was drinking and she even stated you guys are not belligerent but its my job to make the call. What made matter worst, it took over an hour for our nachos and it came when we decided to leave since we did not feel welcome and didn't want to finish our time left on our lanes. She even shorted us change for the 8 lemon drops and rudely dropped off our change with no apology. We couldn't even get service for water or food since we were cut off. The server Brendan even stated he was told to not serve us anymore by his assistant manager. We were all shocked and disappointed with the level of service and disrespect. I walked over to the front desk to speak to the general manger and was told they had multiple assistant managers on staff. I asked to speak to another assistant manger that wasn't racist and would actually listen to a paying customer complaint and that was when Amy walked out. We told her our experience and she was empathetic and stated she will provide her feedback to her upper management. She refunded our 2 hours and tried to offer a gift card , but we told her we would never come back or give this establishment another try. Never have I experienced this level of disrespect and blatantly racism. Highly recommend removing the sour apple in your staff and train your staff on diversity and inclusion customer service. read more

Came to ocean 5 for the second time with my family for bowling now and I have to say it is a great place to go to in gig harbor! We are so happy to have such a fun facility on the area to go to. The food was amazing! The kids loved the chicken tenders and I was quite pleased with the wine selection. The customer service was exquisite as well. Our guest guide Max was humorous. We had the same host as last time, Ashley. She is very easy to talk to and gave us great tricks for duck pin! After a fun game on the lanes we signed up for laser tag for the first time and it was outstanding! Not only did we have great service in the arena as well it was a breathtaking room on it's own! One star because I can't put zero. I came in with my family, about three weeks ago. On a Tuesday night, relatively slow. Our food took upwards of 25 minutes. Came out cold. When we asked why, a manager named Amy came to talk to us, she made it seem like we weren't a big deal even though we were clearly some of her only business. We watched as she continuously ignored us and seemed to be more interested in talking with the kitchen staff. I'd hoped after my original complaint that something would've been done in an effort to correct that behavior. Come to find out upon our arrival yesterday, the same manager was on the floor and we saw the same behavior and blatant display of a lack of professionalism shown in our clear view. Something seriously needs to be done in an effort to correct this, as if I've seen it on now two separate occasions and it continues to be a clear issues, I'm not sure if I'll be returning to Table 47. read more

Where can you go in a 15 mile radius to have 5 star casual attire dinning, a fun arcade, awesome laser tag and exceptional bowling (no where). Came in with the out of state fam for Easter brunch, which was excellent! We ended up hitting the laser tag arena which is the most fun I've had in a awhile. I'm in a wheelchair, and instead of sitting in a corner the whole time trying to tag people, Kevin actually pushed me around and got me in on the action so I could actually move and gun at the same time!! Ok, LONG review, in your best interest read. Also, in the best interest of the person with the pocket book for this business. As a small business owner myself, I make a point of not bashing the "small businesses". This place is not run with a small business mentality and they need to hear this. We came for our first time mid day on a Saturday. Greeted by the numerous people with their iPads and headphones on. Very impersonal right away. The front area gives no visibility to anything behind the scenes, so you don't really know what you are getting in to or paying for! They enter all info on their little iPad. Name, number, how many people, shoe size, style of bowling you want. Then they tell you ok, this will be $55 for one hour I'll take your credit card and we will text you when it's ready. I thought what, $55 for an hour? 1 hr. of bowling in Gig Harbor for an impersonal techie experience. They tell us while we wait, which was going to be 1 hour, that we can go to the restaurant or the arcade. I have two kids so we opt for the arcade. To play in the arcade you have to purchase a bracelet for $2 and load your money on that. The bracelet is a touchscreen. I leave my husband and kids to get a drink. Mind you, I had an incredibly stressful last few days at work. My soul purpose today was picking up my kids after work this afternoon and relaxing, having fun, and having a couple drinks. SO...I ask an employee where the bar is. The bar area was weird too. Finally after an hour of playing games, and getting a drink, I go up front and ask, how much longer for bowling? They say, your ticket was just handed off and you're on lane six. So....I go get my kids and husband and find lane six. We search forfor balls, there is no rime or reason. So i ask, which balls are lighter for kids which are heavier. I'm told, they will bring your balls to you. What? She says, they will bring you a selection of balls and your shoes. Ok....I think one more thing to add to the impersonal awkward experience of this whole thing. So, we go back to lane six. We have a selection of balls there and our shoes waiting. At this point we have a 5 minute countdown to practice. During the practice time our waitstaff come to take our order. Anyways, we finally decide what to order and we are ten minutes into our bowling time. How is it fare that we are finally sitting down as a family to order food and it's deducting from our bowling time. We don't even have our bowling shoes on. I ask the sweet waitress, the really helpful girl with the vegan friend who works there, can we have more time since we just ordered. I could tell that rules were rules, but she could check. I didn't want to put her in that position, as I said above, , I'm a small business owner. It's not her fault, it's what she's told. SO.....in the end, like I said above, I had a stressful few days. I had ordered food, ordered a drink, and then it just hit me. I just was so overwhelmed by my last few days of work, by the lack of intimacy and true connected service by this place. I know that good service and connection between human beings was something that I was really needing at the moment, but even so, this place was just too out of touch with reality and human true interaction. I live in Tacoma and thought I'd check it out. I would so much prefer my little community, service oriented, family owned, Proctor Tacoma bowling alley. It was honestly more than anything, so disappointing to see this large corporate type, superficial, disconnected company move into Gig Harbor. For me, it wasn't even so much about the money, it was about the lack of community, the lack of connection, the lack of friendship, the lack of speaking and connecting with others around you. I'm sorry, but I can carry my own shoes over, I can pick out my own favorite little ball. Oh yeah, I realized we needed bumpers for my daughter which took more time off for me to go find someone and have them adjust that. This place is exactly what I worry our world is turning in to. Fast and disconnected! Not what I was expecting for Gig Harbor. I would've paid the money for real connection with human beings, but to pay this kind of money to deal with people on iPads, headsets and bowling pins on stings on the lane, no thank you! After being there for awhile, I decide to check out their reviews on Yelp, as my business thrives off our Yelp reviews. Sure enough, three stars and not a whole lot is positive. The person financing this operation needs to understand the importance of connection in small towns like this. We do not need this place. Belongs in a bigger city! Sorry! Disturbingly mismanaged and overwhelmingly dissapointing. When you walk through the front door, you are greeted by a mob of employees with iPads and headsets, as if you walked into the Apple store at the mall. Only difference is that at the Apple store, you expect that. There was more technology in the first 30 feet than what is necessary to fly the space shutte . . . and all you want to do is bowl. After being asked a bazillion questions, then led to guest services desk, told to wait about 2 hours for an open lane, then walk back along the alley to see that 75% of the lanes are vacant. Hoping to pass the wait time by sitting in the large social area eating food and having a beverage, we ordered fried pickles, nachos and a burger. The pickles tast like #(%$, the jalepenos on the nachos tase equally bad and theburger had enough seasoning on it that it was like sand paper in our mouths. Thank goodness the beer is good. The couch seats in the large social area are about as comfortable as a visit to the proctologist. Most were facing away from the 2 large projection screens. The bathrooms were nice! Perhaps the nicest thing about the whole place. If you need to releive yourself, this is the place to be! Over 2 hours pass, we finally get our 2 lanes (7 bowlers) and we are presented with 5 balls. OK, so that worked OK for a while. Problem was that two of the balls ended up with large dents in them. An employee removed them from our use. Now we have 7 people trying to bolw on two lanes with three balls. Needless to say, we spent a lot of time standing waiting for a ball to return, all while on a metered game, wasting time. When we asked for more balls, we were told that they had no more. WTF? The pins are on strings, literraly, and that was very problematic. Frequently the pins were incorrectly placed, more or less than what was supposed to be there and often time, it took numerous attempts for the pins to be placed as they were tangled amongst one another. Disappointed is the best way I can describe the evening. I hope that they take a serious look at what they are doing, how they are doing it and make some real changes. read more

We had dinner at the Restaurant which was really good. We arrive around 7 and bowling was booked until 1030pm but the couple times we walked by there were empty lanes. Laser tag was really fun. They do need some fans because after 3 matches it was getting very musky. Arcade is small and several games weren't working. Staff at all different places were really helpful and welcoming. Besides the limited bowling lanes the only other downside was the game prizes. The room was really lacking. The small ticket prizes were few and far between and nothing really fun to pick out. Bought a Groupon for the family. It started out OK with lunch, two free flatbreads. Then when we ordered food for the rest of the family, it took nearly an hour to get the food to us. Let me tell you how disgusting nachos are after they've been sitting on the table for an hour. We rescheduled our laser tag 45 minutes later, and the food still wasn't there. The food came out while we're playing laser an hour after we sat down. It's not difficult to throw cheese on tortilla chips, im sorry. We decided to bowl right after that At our appointment time of 2 PM. Because we start bowling at 2:15 PM and got to our ninth frame at 3 PM, the lane shut down at exactly 3 PM and we never got to finish our game. The children are crying it was extremely sad, it was a horrible day as a parent and I have nothing good to say about oceans five. In exchange for their bad service, they gave us a $25 gift card for anything at oceans 5+400 game tickets. This is still not a fair exchange for the tears on all the children's faces, and the bill of $240 just to have fun for a Saturday afternoon. Thanks, but no thanks! Made reservations online for a party of 12. When we showed up (our first time) they rolled out the red carpet. From the tour of the facilities and explanation of services we appreciated the personal touch! The staff members were so attentive, especially to our little ones. Arcade was expensive. You have to purchase a $2.00 wristband for each kid...then you can load it with $$. Games are very expensive and don't give kids very many tickets to use for prizes in return. Arcade was rather small. Prizes for kids, lacked selection and was also over-priced for the amount of tickets. So the food...The Food...not good, way too expensive..specifically, the kids menu. Not many choices for kids, small portions and over priced. Kids apple juice..$4.00 on top of the over-priced kid meals. My Grandson's did not even like the food to boot. The ranch dressing was gross too! Bowling was however cheap as was the laser tag. My suggestion, eat before you go! Walk over to DQ or KFC! Only do the kids bowling and maybe the laser tag. We went during the week..its was $15.00 per kid, but they said during the week, its buy one, get one free. Bowling was only $10.37 for 2 kids with tax and it includes shoes. Limited food menu and too fu-fu for average kids under 12 years old! Service was bad as well... Also if you really get to know the mission and facts behind what this company is all about you feel great about visiting there on a everyday basis. There was one middle aged lady named Diana that noticed I was struggling to nurse to a wiggly baby and she invited me nurse in a separate area that was quieter and she even brought me a glass of water.
