The nachos were a huge and hot portion which I loved. Crab cakes were also good but would have preferred the slaw on the side vs on top. Jess had a chicken cutlet sandwich on ciabatta bread. She doesn't even like chicken but she loved this. Especially the garlic mayo. I had a small pizza with calamata olives and really liked it. The crust was excellent. We also had the baked Mac n cheese. Absolutely YUM. We finished with tiramisu and that was a perfect ending. Our server was attentive and very friendly. This place is very eclectic. The owner's design of the interior was around that of a church. It is full of skulls and mystical works. Not a church I've ever attended but definitely makes statements. The bathroom was quite interesting - check out the pics. I'm one of the more interesting artwork. You would think I was visiting a Hooters lol. The service was good. As soon as you walk in, you do not expect what is on the inside versus what the exterior of the building looks like. This place is really awesome. It has great dive bar vibes. It's a mix between Hispanic day of the dead meets pirate vibes. The drinks are amazing. We had an old-fashioned and a preacher mule. They were so good. We forgot to take a picture! The old-fashioned is not too strong tasting. It has a nice balance with the orange so it is very smooth! The food here is phenomenal! We started with the half dozen of Rae oysters and they were very fresh and had everything that you needed with it. They were amazing! The entrées that we ordered were fish and chips and Aji tuna tacos both came with french fries and the french fries were super crunchy and extremely fresh and delicious! The fish and chips fish was evenly breaded, and the fish was very light and did not taste fishy at all! The Aji tuna tacos had a little punch of what tasted like wasabi, they were amazing! Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon. I had been here before, but it was probably six years ago. Everyone was sitting at the bar and it was pretty crowded but there were a few open spots so I joined the crowd. A friendly employee welcomed me and gave me a menu and took my drink order. I ordered their crab cakes ($18.00) and a Fat Tire (on draft) for my drink. While waiting for my order I observed the interesting pictures on their walls. Some of it was pretty funny. The two employees working the bar came by and checked on me several times and it wasn't long before my order arrived. The Crab Cakes consisted of pan-fried crab, shrimp, iceland codcake and ginger slaw. served with sriracha aioli. They were excellent!! I'll definitely be back for more of these! I may try one of their tasty desserts next time too. Great service, wonderful crab cakes and competitive prices, I'm going with 5 stars. Check them out! Stopped in for a bite to eat since we were in the area and wanted to try a place we haven't been before. Located in a small strip mall attached to a pizza place and subway. Inside is a neat decor. It's like stained glass, lots of colors, neat light fixtures, there is a bit of a Mexican day of the dead feel as well. Food menus are on the back of old album covers, which is neat. Has a nice bar area with lots to choose from. I was happy they had Caribe on tap! Hubby had a draft Bud Light and said it tasted funny, so his next he got a bottle of bud light. Preacher Bar is located at 8699 Astronaut Blvd. (A1A), about a mile south of Port Canaveral, directly south of the Radisson Resort at the Port (walking distance ...50 steps). Upon entering, you immediately notice the soft music in the background. The volume is at the perfect level so that you can still engage in conversation without yelling over the music. The decor is a mix of stained glass lanterns and Mexican-inspired art. I stumbled across this bar during my stay at the Radisson, as it was literally few steps away. Marlene took care of me while I sat at the bar. She was extremely friendly and attentive. I asked her about the fish and chips and she said it was her favorite item on the menu and I see why. Hands down the best fish and chips I've ever had. The reviews on Yelp mentioned the tartar sauce was A1. There are fun, decorative lamps and one of the TVs was playing cat videos. The hellfire shrimp were delicious, but only moderately spicy. The calamari was good, but the shrimp was better. And the presentation was clever and fun. They made it appear it was spilling out of a Chinese takeout box. Drinks: Cadillac margarita was delightful. The pineapple cider true to the fruit and refreshing. Fat Tire beer on tap, quality as expected. The tap list is not extensive but it is diverse. Manhattan nuanced and delightful. Definitely not sweet, very refreshing. The service is attentive and friendly. They made some suggestions and checked in on the regular. Dinner has arrived. The nachos are tasty - the meat is just slightly sweet and there are a lot of flavors at play. Bison burger was a hit, the beet, chevre, and arugula salad was much appreciated. The crab cake sandwich was deemed to have a rather small pattie but a great flavor. I would say this place stands strong amidst all other new American pub food locations I have visited. My company spends too much money ordering pizza for meetings to have a shitty experience as a local, left too much for a tip for wait staff that were not worried about tourists than locals. From the outside it just looks like a stone in a strip mall next to a pizza place. We stepped inside to discover a very eclectic fun bar and restaurant! From the themed decor to the food - it's a definite 5 star! We couldn't decide on one dish, so we went with the buy one get one half off apps. Tried the shrimp appetizer, pork nachos and scallop escargot. The shrimp was delicious and had the perfect combo of spicy and sweet. They were large shrimp and had the perfect amount of breading. The scallop escargot was amazing. I don't like escargot, but always love the smell and taste of the garlic butter. This was perfect - and something I've never seen before! My daughter ordered the pepperoni pizza. It was good, but a bit pricey ($16) for what was a pizza for two (at best). Pretty safe to say this is not what I'd come back for.
