So I'm a 39 year old who never had a good relationship with a dentist . I have had bad childhood and young adulthood experiences with dentist and just stopped going to the dentist . I decided it was time to face the facts and go see a dentist and I'm so glad I went to see Dr. Phan and John . I have had three visits so far and I can honestly say this has been the best dental experience. I have many more visits at this dentist office and I am not regretting my decision to seek care. I've always hated going to the dentist but Oceanside Family Dentistry makes every visit very painless. Dr. Pham and her husband are both great and very friendly. They make every visit very pleasant and I don't find myself dreading every upcoming appointment. I wish I could provide a more accurate review. However, I had an appointment for my two young kids. I was told to stay up front with one, and to have the other go back with the dentist....ALONE. My 5 year old (who clearly expressed fear) and 2 year old. Ridiculous! COVID or not, that should not be acceptable, and in my opinion a huge liability. There were no exceptions, so we left. This Dentistry was listed under my insurance, so I figured its a trusted provider and I dont need to do any other price comparison. The procedure was suppose to be a two day process, but she rushed with in an hour and was charge a very large amount. Her husband which runs the front desk and the finances, charged 80% to the insurance and charged me 20% which was still $380 amount. I was shocked, but assumed that was the going rate. Sceptical on the large amount, I called a friend that was a dentist, I emailed him my bill and he mentioned I was charged three times the amount compared to the going rate!!! Ripping people off is not a good way of doing business!!! WOW!!! STAY AWAY FROM HERE!!! read more

I saw Dr Phan for a little over 2 years. Dr Phan and John always made me feel right at home. Prior to treatment with Dr Phan I had a lot of really bad experiences at the dentist and Dr Phan's genuine approach to listening to my concerns was a welcomed change. I even opted to finally get braces. The ability to be flexible with my schedule and even allow me to bring in my children when I had no other option for child care truly made such a difference to me. My husband and I have been coming here for years and we love Dr. Phan. We go here for our regular cleaning and Dr. Phan also took care of my braces needs. She is very caring and takes her time with us all the time. They have digital XRAY and it's so easy to make appointments. Dr. Phan also stayed after hours for us when we needed it. I'v been coming to Dr. Phan for at least 5 years and I have no complaints. The office is well maintained and their schedule is flexible with Saturday's always being an option. I am happy that I finally found a dentist that gives me all the information needed to make decisions on my own, and she doesn't push me to get the work done.
