They both clearly love what they do, and it shows in every interaction. When I started, my 6 month old puppy struggles with really bad separation anxiety, anything loud terrified him and made him try to bolt away. I was feeling overwhelmed and completely discouraged that I was doing anything right with him. During our training journey had its challenges, especially correcting my bad training behaviors I was taught along time ago that weren't working. Chloe and Emily were there to guide and support me every step of the way and gave me updated tools that actually work! The one-on-one sessions and private lessons each week were beyond anything I could have imaged, so supportive and willing to spend the extra time in areas most dogs would have blazed through things, Odin needed the extra support for him to become more confident. I know now every dog moves at their own pace and you need to be patient. My training journey isn't over with Odin and glad you guys are apart of mine and Odin's journey. Can't wait until I can eventually show off Odin once he becomes a service dog and let everyone know who helped me get there. Thank you from Odin and Me! See you all later! Rooted Dog Training exceeded our expectations.

Emily is equally wonderful--warm, compassionate, and supportive throughout the entire process. They both clearly love what they do, and it shows in every interaction. When I started, my almost 3-year-old pug mix, Fifi, struggled with barking, reactivity, separation anxiety, and had no reliable recall or response to commands. I was feeling overwhelmed, and even being at home had become stressful. While the training journey had its challenges, especially as a first-time dog owner with no prior experience, Chloe and Emily were there to guide and support me every step of the way. Their patience and encouragement gave me the confidence to keep learning alongside Fifi. The one-on-one sessions each week were invaluable, giving me the opportunity to receive real-time feedback in a supportive, judgment-free environment. The improvement in Fifi has been amazing. She's so much calmer, listens to commands, and we can finally take her out without worrying she'll bark at every person we pass. We actually enjoy our walks now, and even life at home is so much more relaxed. I can't thank Chloe and Emily enough for giving me the tools and confidence to help Fifi thrive. Rooted Dog Training exceeded our expectations.

Now that I have more time I wanted to finish Bella's training. I reached out to bark busters because Bella had a lot of anxiety and would have non stop barking issues. We have a new baby in the house so all the barking was no fun! I'm telling you, no joke after the first visit with our trainer Justine, I felt as if Bella was a whole new dog! She gives such great advice on how to properly train your dog without food incentives and shock collars! I was so amazed that I started telling a lot of my friends about it! I just finished my second session with Justine today and she was giving me tips and tricks on how to walk Bella without her pulling. By the end of the session I was walking Bella and Bella wasn't walking me! Justine truly cares for me and Bella and is very thoughtful on modifying things that help me the best! It's definitely worth the investment. I couldn't be any more happy and I would definitely recommend Bark Busters, especially with Justine, to everyone and anyone! Enjoy a picture of Bella after our training session today!

Since then, we have done our best to train her (even hired a dog training company) and while she's been amazing to us, there have been some incidents. We tried to correct her behavior but we had to go beyond just correcting a behavior, we had to know the why. We needed a dog behaviorist. Enter Bark Busters and Justine! From the very first phone conversation with Justine, she told us about a dog's personality (the who) vs. a dog's behavior (the why). Was our dog just naturally an aggressive dog or was our dog showing aggression due to past trauma. After the initial phone call then came the in person assessment in our home, Justine knew our dog's personality was sweet and loving to us; however, due to her being a rescue, her past experiences led to trauma that led to aggressive behaviors towards others in certain situations. Moreover, during that first assessment, she educated us things we had no idea about or thought about with dogs as pets plus what we need to be and do as owners. Justine was and is exactly what we were looking for in understanding our dog and from there building the right relationship with our dog that will keep her and others safe. The business model and curriculum that Bark Busters and Justine have put in place is one of a kind and works from day 1. We have always wanted what is best for our dog and to give her the best life possible, especially because she is a rescue and her breed. Bark Busters and Justine continues to give us the tools in place to build the confidence and trust we have as owners in our dog and our dog has in us as owners. We are forever grateful to Justine and will recommend her and Bark Busters to anyone!

Tony completely changed my life. I cannot sing his praises enough. Before working with him, I felt…read morelike training my dog, KB, was a lost cause. I had previously tried Board and Train programs at Sit Means Sit twice, but they didn't help with KB's anxiety at all. Tony was a completely different experience. What sets Tony apart is how thorough he is. He didn't just give commands; he constantly explained the "why" behind KB's behaviors. He was also incredibly supportive of me, helping me work through my own fears and nervousness. Because of his guidance, I can now actually play box with KB without the fear that he'll suddenly react toward me. We covered so much ground, including: * Command & Muzzle Work: Building a foundation of safety and communication. * Boundaries: KB used to be glued to my side whenever I answered the door. Now, he can stay calmly on the couch while I greet someone, and he stays indoors even when I go through the patio door. * Safety & Care: Tony was always so accommodating with scheduling. If it was too hot for an outdoor session, he would proactively suggest changing it for KB's safety. If you feel stuck or overwhelmed with your dog's behavior, go to Tony. He turned everything around for us, and I'm so grateful for the confidence he's given both me and KB.

Roel took Bumi in and was so patient with Bumi, he and his team really worked wonders with Bumi. From when we adopted him to now, it's a night and day change. His reactivity is still present because it can't change overnight but, with Roel and his teams help, it is much much much more manageable. I would highly recommend Roel and his team, he is the go to "pitbull" guy and does an amazing job with reactive dogs. Bumi really loves him too!

I brought my dog Nala to Elevated Canine Academy and worked with Julie specifically, and it was one…read moreof the best decisions I have made for both of us. Nala is 11, very smart, independent, and has a strong protective streak, so she is not an easy dog to work with. Before training she was reactive toward other dogs/people/cars/bikes, selective with recall, and tended to make her own choices in stressful situations. I honestly did not expect much change at her age, but Julie proved me wrong. During the board and train, Nala became much more neutral around dogs, her recall improved, and she learned how to work calmly and confidently on the e collar. What I really appreciate is that Julie did not try to change who Nala is. She clearly understands complex, sensitive, very smart dogs and tailored the training to fit Nala instead of forcing a one size fits all method. Nala came home calmer, more responsive, more confident, and overall much easier to handle. Julie also spent a lot of time teaching me and my partner exactly what to do at home so we could keep the progress going. She walked us through the tools, the cues, how to handle Nala in different situations, and what kind of structure she needs day to day. We feel much more confident now. I can't wait to continue working with Julie on advanced obedience! If you have a reactive dog, an older dog, or a very smart and intense dog, I highly recommend Elevated Canine Academy and working with Julie.

Tom let me know he had a class that started two weeks ago but that I can come participate and watch and can decide if I wanted to join. Tom let me start that day and told me I could be continue to come and would be added to the next cohort at the end of the month, he gave me those extra weeks without charging me extra. I have been going every session since 1/8 M-Th and my dog is doing very well she is less reactive and is finding a purpose. She gets excited to go because she puts her collar, leash, and jumps in the car. I also found out a lot of her reactivity and fear was because I was scared and she was feeding from my energy and also that she just wanted to play with the other dogs, I have learned how to read her body language she is progressing very well. He lets you come as many times as you want to his other basic classes to help you master your skills with your dog. The more you go the better and more confident you both become.
