We love this place! Really good quality bakery, pastry and breakfast dishes! We love the jalapeño cheddar scones, sausage rolls, cinnamon rolls and stuffed breakfast pastry items. Always fresh and tastes amazing! Friendly efficient staff. Enjoy whenever we get to make a visit.

Fantastic place to grab an espresso coffee option. The place was busy and clearly a fav of many. It's not far off the freeway, so it's an easy detour. I got my usual hot latte. The standard was whole milk but I asked to a mix of lower fat milk. No problem. Coffee was delicious. Vibe was chill. Nice stop.

I adore this place, I will leave review after review because it's just such a great vibe and atmosphere. Coffee cake muffin was great but the breakfast focaccia was amazing, loved the soft-boiled eggs inside of it! The iced mocha is probably the best I have ever had. I hope to make this my new go to place once a week. :) service is always amazing and everyone is always so kind.

Had to check this out after seeing the great reviews. Really enjoyed my London Fog and broccoli-cheddar quiche. Misunderstood other review. Thought you could get made to order sandwiches; that is not the case. Most everything is made fresh in the morning and then that's what's available. So this is not a place for eggs & bacon, but instead grab a slice of breakfast focaccia. Took home Nutella muffin for kiddo and received great feedback. Can't wait to see how the cherry scone & turkey breakfast sandwich do. And yes, the fire is super cozy, especially on this rainy day. Comfy couch, too!

Richfield absolutely needed a place like this! Everything they make is delicious! My favorite is their zucchini and tomato galette! I really appreciate their sugar free options as well!

The atmosphere felt genuine and community-driven. The food was the highlight-easily one of the most creative, thoughtful, and flavorful breakfast experiences I've had in the area in a long time. The originality of the dishes really stood out. The grits, in particular, were excellent-something that's surprisingly easy to get wrong, but they executed perfectly. One of the most impressive aspects was the takeout quality. I ordered a meal to go and didn't eat it until 15-20 minutes later, yet it still held up incredibly well-no reheating needed. That level of consistency is hard to achieve. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this spot to friends and colleagues. We grabbed menus near the entrance so we could pick what we wanted while waiting in line. When we ordered, there was a place to drop off the menus. On this inaugural visit, I requested the shrimp and grits, fresh orange juice, and beignets. We found a table for four and seated ourselves. The place was nearly full with one room cordoned off for only the busiest of times. While we waited, I visited the jam bar to get some butter. Soon, our food was delivered. The fresh squeezed orange juice was very tasty. I definitely enjoyed that. The portion sizes were good. I was afraid they might be small, given the price. The biscuits were large and good, but they are different than southern style biscuits. They can easily be cut with a fork, but also remain stable enough to eat with your fork after cutting. My shrimp was seasoned well and cooked perfectly. I think they put six medium-large shrimp in the dish. The grits were also not the typical southern style. They were creamy, but still very good. The dish was tasty and very satisfying. The beignets were delicious! They were served with whipped cream and fresh strawberries. Excellent! Our server was friendly and quick. Very good quality. Very good service. The only drawback here is the price. As we exited, the line was out the door.

I met a friend for breakfast this morning, and everything from start to finish was spot on. I ordered the Sweet Jalapeño Sandwich: an English muffin piled with jam, bacon, an egg cooked over medium, and cheddar, served with home fries. It was the perfect balance of sweet, savory, and just a little kick. My friend stuck with her usual: the Banana & Bourbon Caramel Bread Pudding French Toast, topped with fresh bananas and their homemade bourbon caramel sauce, plus a side of pork belly. It looked incredible and, according to her, tasted just as good as it always does. We arrived just a few minutes after they opened at 8:00 and were seated right away. The service was friendly, attentive, and very prompt without feeling rushed. Scratch has such a great casual, local diner feel, but with a menu that's anything but ordinary. They are crispy AND fluffy! Yum! My scrambled eggs were not at all greasy or oily. My iced tea was delicious and refreshing. My lovely wife had the chorizo hash, which I tried. Oh, my. So good. And the chipotle crema on top was just perfect. They have excellent diner coffee here as well. My service experience was immaculate the first time and just OK today. He was fine initially, but I feel like he kind of forgot about us after he checked on our food. We were stuck way in the back. Maybe he was on a break, which is fine. I spent time as a waiter in two different restaurants, so I'm sympathetic, but I did not get a drink refill, and I wanted one pretty badly. This is one of my favorite breakfast spots, and it feels like a hidden gem.

Can't do it. They don't permit it. So I ordered one large blueberry pancake in addition to my omelete. It was a decent pancake with lots of blueberries. Liked it better than the omelete. My server was very kind and did what she could by not charging for the coffee. Ya gotta love a server who tries to be on the customer side of an unfair policy. She was awesome for that. My point is, if you want a basic, basic breakfast and nothing more, and you happen to be near one, you'll be fine. It has been on my list for ages but it isn't close to my house and the wait is always long! But in March 2026, my bf and I braved the wait so I can finally check this place out! Overall, it is clear why Blue Door is always packed - the food, while overpriced, is delicious and made by a team of talented chef and bakers! I'll say this was a 4.5 star experience. We were quoted a wait for about 45 minutes but we were seated after 30. The case of baked goods were enticing me the entire time but I resisted! Our waiter, Steven, was funny, helpful, and had a great personality. The place, obviously, was packed, with little room in between tables. We saw quite a few patrons order the incredibly indulgent horchata French toast ($24) and I don't think I witnessed anyone finish it! To start, I got a coffee from local coffee roasters, Angel Falls, for $3.50 and my boyfriend treated himself to a fancy hot chai $6.50. It was pretty good local coffee! I wanted to try their famous croissants so I ordered the croque madame croissant sandwich with breakfast potatoes ($21). The croque madame was incredible! The breakfast potatoes could have benefited from an interesting seasoning. My boyfriend wanted everything on the menu but decided on getting the "special menu" loaded baked potato breakfast burger with salt+vinegar brined house chips (aka fries) for $24. The potato inside was a large potato latke. This heavenly creation kept him full for hours. In the end, our bill was pretty pricey for a brunch but we enjoyed every bite. I'm not sure if I will be able to come here again since we got lucky with our wait, but they keep changing their menu and something might entice me so much, I'll endure any wait!

Our server Ashley was very polite and had a nice smile and served breakfast with a flourish. We were there for breakfast with my order being the Corn Beef Benny (Eggs Benidict with Corn Beef instead of Canadian Bacon) and my brother being Corn Beef Hash. We are both seniors with much smaller appetites than in our earlier years. Both breakfasts were good with the Corn Beef being shredded rather than ground. Eggs came out as we ordered. My home fries appeared to be from frozen not previously baked/boiled, cut up and then fried. A bit tasteless. A few things stand out. * The Corn Beef Hash did not come with toast (as traditional). I had not expected it for my Benidict but was surprised that my brother's didn't. * The portions also were (in my opinion) small. My brother and I finished our meals without a problem whereas in our earlier years we would still be hungry. * They didn't have standard condiments associated with breakfast especially hot sauce. They had Cholula hot sauce, that is all. * The coffee in the carafe cooled quickly and allowed for only another half cup or so per person. I always enjoy when the server comes by with fresh coffee to warm up our cup and maybe exchange a few pleasantries. * While pleasant, Ashley left us the check without asking us if we knew how to use the process. Fortunately, I did. One disadvantage is I almost always leave cash tip if not on business but indicate on the receipt. With the new process, this was not possible. I still left a cash tip but gave 0 on the electronic bill. No where was there an indication if we didn't have the QR code savvy or wanted to pay cash. To summarize, food decent, server mostly good, price value not so much. At roughly 50 dollars, while good, I think overpriced. Would I go there again, probably not. I like a good old fashion type restaurant where there can be exchanges between the diners and servers.
