The shrimp and grits is the best I've tried and Bloody Mary flights are definitely a plus! An interesting place similar to the new breakfast restaurants popping up all over. Very modernized from QR coded checks, rectangular plates and coffee served in a carafe and left on the table. Our server Ashley was very polite and had a nice smile and served breakfast with a flourish. We were there for breakfast with my order being the Corn Beef Benny (Eggs Benidict with Corn Beef instead of Canadian Bacon) and my brother being Corn Beef Hash. We are both seniors with much smaller appetites than in our earlier years. Both breakfasts were good with the Corn Beef being shredded rather than ground. Eggs came out as we ordered. My home fries appeared to be from frozen not previously baked/boiled, cut up and then fried. A bit tasteless. A few things stand out. * The Corn Beef Hash did not come with toast (as traditional). I had not expected it for my Benidict but was surprised that my brother's didn't. * The portions also were (in my opinion) small. My brother and I finished our meals without a problem whereas in our earlier years we would still be hungry. * They didn't have standard condiments associated with breakfast especially hot sauce. They had Cholula hot sauce, that is all. * The coffee in the carafe cooled quickly and allowed for only another half cup or so per person. I always enjoy when the server comes by with fresh coffee to warm up our cup and maybe exchange a few pleasantries. * While pleasant, Ashley left us the check without asking us if we knew how to use the process. Fortunately, I did. One disadvantage is I almost always leave cash tip if not on business but indicate on the receipt. With the new process, this was not possible. I still left a cash tip but gave 0 on the electronic bill. No where was there an indication if we didn't have the QR code savvy or wanted to pay cash. To summarize, food decent, server mostly good, price value not so much. At roughly 50 dollars, while good, I think overpriced. Would I go there again, probably not. I really had high hopes for this place. The atmosphere is bright, cute and cheery. After ordering coffee the only thing they had out as far as creamer was French vanilla. We had to ask for regular, and I know that's not a huge deal but not everyone wants a flavored creamer so why not have a couple to choose from already out? Our waitress whom was nice, asked if we were ready to order or needed more time after bringing the coffee to us and we weren't ready so she said she'd be back and to take our time. At least 15-20 minutes later she returned, she had forgotten about us. I should mention there was enough staff out front and it wasn't busy. Ok, fine. I ordered there social breakfast and my husband made his own omelet. Not much to choose from. He initially wanted cheese, sausage, onion and green peppers. They don't have green peppers but have jalapeños. He asked what they do have and she mentioned mushrooms and cucumbers. He passed on any other veggie. We got our breakfast within reasonable time. My scrambled eggs, home fried and bacon were quite dry. My husbands omelet was without cheese and our waitress finally came over to ask how things were and left quickly so my husband couldn't say anything. I'll be hyperbolic here but our server could have cared less if we lived or died. She took our order and never came back. She checked on all her other tables and chatted with them but we must not have been her faves. I finally got up and asked her when our (very simple) order would be ready as this is a breakfast place and 30 minutes for pancakes is a bit extreme, and she said "it would be the next one out." She obviously forgot to put the order in. When it did arrive, I immediately asked for the check and paid so that we would not be beholden to any further nonsense. Absolutely love that we have a breakfast/brunch spot in the uniontown/green area that isn't in a bar setting, the waitress we had was so energetic, so nice, she convinced us to get some drinks with breakfast, we got the mimosa flight and my husband got an espresso martini, 10/10 recommend the mimosas, 2/10 on the martini it was the only bad part of our experience which is why I didn't give 5 stars, I do believe the girl making it had no clue what it was, she put 4-5 ingredients in it after asking another waitress how to make it and it tasted BAD. We came here for an amazing brunch during our visit to Ohio. The ambiance was really cute and inviting, food was delicious, and portions were massive! The menu was pretty large and had something for everyone. We ultimately ended up getting the Avocado Eggs Benny, Spicy Loaded Home Fries, and Sausage & Biscuits. For drinks, we all got something off the seasonal menu - the apple cider mimosa, apple cider cold brew, and pumpkin cold brew. My apple cider cold brew was tasty, but more bitter than I'd been expecting and I didn't get any apple cider taste from it at all. We all agreed the pumpkin cold brew was the way to go if you're in the mood for a seasonal drink. My personal favorite dish was the Spicy Loaded Home Fries, so I kept having to steal from my husband's plate. Everything in it was cooked to perfection! Quick run down. Food here was absolutely amazing. Portions were quite large. Prices were kind of expensive but worth it. I got a donut to start since sour cream glaze is my favorite. And it was giant! And super delicious. Would come back just for one of those. My wife got a chai which she didn't much care for and at $6.50 said it wasn't worth it considering the size and a Starbucks next door. I got a black cold brew and liked it. I got the some like it hot omelette with sausage and home fries and the portions were huge! I could barely finish it all. But everything was cooked perfectly. My wife got biscuits and gravy and the gravy was super good and very hearty unlike a lot of the runnier ones we've had. Came close to $50 for after tip for the 2 of us. Absolutely blew away my positive expectations. I had a Bloody Belle, Corned Beef Eggs Benedict, and two macrons (chocolate and raspberry pistachio). I had to pause to regain my composure after that first bite of their home fries. It's rare to have a sensation like that. I make eggs benedict at home and poaching is second nature to me now. So my expectations are higher when I eat out. Sunrise Social not only hit the mark, they exceeded it. The corned beef is incredible: watch out Slyman's. They were slammed as expected during Saturday brunch, but the longest wait time I heard was 15 minutes. Hardly what I would call a wait: efficient staff for the win. I ate at the bar and read a book. Service was great and friendly. The ambiance was awesome. It's a cozy spot with a lot of hanging ferns. Hard to find a better brunch spot. Really glad to have a new local breakfast spot. Much needed in this particular area. Environment is bright and colorful with greenery vibes. Positives: Our server was very friendly and attentive. What seemed to be the owner or manager checked on everyone and was certainly pitching in. We tried the chicken and waffles, corn beef hash, and half biscuit and gravy. All were very good. They have a make your own blood Mary as well as many other versions and various drinks. Pretty cool though I went for the traditional blood Mary. Fresh bakery items like the donut looked delicious. Negatives: The restaurant is small and open which causes it to be very loud unfortunately with nothing to dampen the noise. They're also very much still working on getting their footing as not all tables were always filled despite the wait list and the food took at least 30-40 minutes to come out. With three alcohol drinks, two entrees and a half order of biscuit and gravy our bill was $74. Fairly pricey but can't be mad given the good quality food with a flare. I was a little curious as the menu seemed to have a lot of very specific items on it (i.e. not too many standard fair breakfast staples). However, that turned out to be very much OK. We tried the meat lovers style omelette and the pancakes. While I got the omelette without the hollendaise sauce, it was excellent. Let me tell you, don't sleep on the potatoes. They're definitely some of the best breakfast potatoes I've ever had. The pancakes were very good too. Depending on where you sit you have plastic dirty plants hanging on you, or real ones . Then the knives and spoons are in a 'trough' on the table instead of individually with the fork. Our first visit to Sunrise Social did not start out great. I would not recommend utilizing the online waitlist, as they don't seem to honor it. We added ourselves to the waitlist at 10:45am on a Saturday morning, knowing we would need to wait because it was prime brunch time. The waitlist surprisingly stated 10-12 minutes. We headed over to the restaurant and checked in. We were told it would just be a few minutes. We waited for 45 minutes and were told they had to pause seating so the kitchen could catch up. We stood outside and waited, because there is no room to wait inside, while staring at several empty tables. We felt bad for the waitstaff who seemed to be loosing business because the tables were not being filled. We were finally seated after an hour wait. Our server Marta redeemed this restaurant in our eyes. She was quite funny and extremely attentive. We enjoyed our meals, and the food came out very quickly. Not sure what the seating hold up was, but my advice to the staff would be to perhaps be a little more upfront with wait times, and maybe turn off the online waitlist if you are at capacity! read more

The chicken and waffles - 2 meals here, lots for leftovers. Served with real maple syrup and thoroughly enjoyed. The mimosa flight with sweet hibiscus, mango, strawberry, and cherry. I wanted to like this place. It seemed nice from the outside. And the inside was pleasant as well when we got inside as we were seated right away by the friendly hostess. After we sat down the first thing our server said was "just to warn you, we are out of corned beef, French fries & salad". Really? I understand the corned beef, but how about planning for the holiday crowds? Out of fries & salad? Acme click is right next door. Needless to say I was disappointed as I was kinda looking forward to The Reuben or Corned Beef hash. I ended up getting the veggie egg white omelette, which was ok but I tasted no Feta as described on the menu. And it was a bit greasy for my taste.
