Was recommended Ocha for getting sushi but after a couple of times, I wasn't really impressed with the fish quality. It just didn't taste that fresh. The rolls are definitely better than the sashimi but I think I'll be sticking to Kiku for my sushi. I'll have to try their Thai one day and hopefully I can come back and give a better review. read more

The place looks homey, quiet when we were there even though the lunch crowd started coming in. It had been a while since I last visited, and I decided to do a takeout order. We chose the Pad Thai, Green Curry, and Massaman Curry. Unfortunately, all three dishes were overwhelmingly sweet--not the natural sweetness from coconut milk, but excessive added sugar. We couldn't enjoy any of them. We weren't asked about our preferences, and overall, it was disappointing. The food didn't taste authentically Thai, which is truly unfortunate. It's a shame they've resorted to adding so much sugar. Was in Stamford, CT for the day and came across this wonderful family owned restaurant. There was 8 of us that came in to eat not knowing what to expect. Boy oh boy we were in for a treat! The staff was really welcoming and happy to go over the menu on what to order. We had mentioned my cousin was getting married and they brought out a surprise sushi rolled like a heart. If you're looking for decent Thai and Japanese cuisine with fresh ingredients, flavored well at reasonable prices, this is a great place to go whether you dine in or take out. I ordered sushi rolls and hand rolls from here. Got the sushi entree C, a salmon avocado hand roll, and a tuna avocado hand roll. The sushi entree C comes with a small salad and includes eel roll, spicy salmon roll, and salmon avocado roll. The fish was fresh and the sushi was delicious. Wasn't a huge fan of the eel cucumber roll though since like most places it barely has any eel. It also wasn't rolled as tightly and was a little soggy from the sauce. I order the 3 Maki Lunch combo and it was excellent! I got the shrimp tempura, salmon avocado, and eel avocado. All three rolls had extremely fresh ingredients and they didn't skimp at all on the avocado! One of the best sushi spots in Stamford and I would highly recommend them! read more

Really good sushi here, one of better sushi restaurants in area in our opinion (fiancé orders her constantly). I have been to this restaurant many times since I found it 3 years ago, and it has always been superb. The waitstaff is efficient and timely, and the food is genuine Thai! If you really like spicy food- you'll love it. If not, they are happy to tone it down a notch for you, and have heat indexes marked on the menu for your convenience, so you will know ahead of time how hot a dish is or isn't. Plenty to choose from each category! I have ordered all their duck dishes and can't choose a favorite. My husband has ordered sushi, soups, and many different entrees and we are both hooked! It appears that most of their service is take out, since they are located next to several apartment buildings, so we never find the place crowded, and there is always ample parking directly in front of or behind the restaurant. Sue and the OCHA family deserve a shout out. I have been a regular customer for 7 years and never once have had a bad order. The food is fresh as it gets arrives on time and is packed perfectly every single time. This is the most consistent food/delivery I've ever had. You'd be shorting yourself seriously by not trying their food let alone become one of the OCHA regulars. I have only had their Sushi Takeouts, and MAN am I FAN. Probably the best sushi and definitely the most fresh sushi i have experienced in Stamford. Their Eel Avacado and Spicy Tuna is Excellent.
