It's a no for me. The food did not taste good because there was no flavor, spice or anything to make it taste alive.

Honestly straight up the best Mexican food I've had in all of New England - I'm born and raised from LA and spent most of my life in California. Chips are nice and crispy, guacamole and salsa are on point. I got the crispy / gringo tacos with steak, wife got the Korean BBQ tacos, and I got jalapeño margarita - all fire. As you walk in you're greeted, there are two dining areas (and the dining room is huge) the tables snd booths are well spaced out, the booths are roomy. To the left side of the restaurant is s full size bar with stool seating. The walls are festively decorated, interesting snd eye pleasing. They played Mexican music and were very accommodation when we asked if the lower the volume. We went off peak time, when seated they brought over the tortilla chips and salsa ( upon request they will bring you spicy salsa), the wait staff were very attentive and helpful. We didn't have to wait long for our meals. We ordered one Fundido appetizer, it came with tortillas but we liked it with the chips. It's was a bit salty but it was due to the cheeses . The appetizer had a good flavor. Lunch menu was from 11 to 3 pm. The skirt steak fajita was good, with the trimmings, just the right amount for lunch serving. It came with rice and the beans had a nice Smokey flavor. (It was a bit watery but over all great, especially when placed on top of the rice. The other did we ordered was the lunch size Carne Asada Chimichanga. It was nicely plated and looked delicious, it wasn't smothered in a lot of sauce and cheese. ( like other restaurants) I noticed on the menu they didn't offer burritos, but in the menu they carried VARIOUS Fajitas, Tacos, Ocho Bowls, Quesadillas, Enchiladas, Soups and salads, and meat free meals, and desserts. Great spot. Food is excellent and reasonably priced. About as authentic of a Mexican place you can get in the area. The street tacos were a little more "dressed up" that traditional street tacos but in a good way. Large beer and tequila selection. The staff is exceptionally friendly and the atmosphere is great. I will forgo most of any reviews on the staff as I know everyone is short-staffed. The inside of the restaurant is well decorated. But on a Saturday night, the place is very loud so much so I could not hear my wife or server. Once seated I noticed that the table hadn't been clean properly as there were grease smears and other remnants on the table. We had to ask that the table be recleaned. This, in the time of Covid it inexcusable. As the tequila list is not the same as the website I had to ask for a minute that dragged on long after my wife got her drink. When I finally was asked what to order I hadn't been asked about my drink and had to throw that in. Another server comes over a few minutes later to tell me they didn't have the Tequila I ordered, nor did they have the list I could order from. Expecting warm tortilla chips they weren't. My wife did like the salsa which she is a good judge of. She also mentioned the sauce on her enchiladas was good but the chicken inside was dry without the sauce. My taco's on the other hand had no flavor what so ever the predominant taste was the shell. The insides had no taste at all. At this point, I was visibly unsatisfied. But to top it off when my wife was asked for another drink I was not. At this point, she notice that I was being ignored as a customer. So as a Taco and Tequila cafe, they fell flat on both. So I had been to the Ocho Cafe in Westford 3 times and the food was fresh, chicken was cooked just right - all was good. On my last visit, the same dish I had enjoyed before (Street Tacos) and the chicken was cold and the texture was like rubber - awful. Tonight, hoping it was a fluke, I ordered "to go" - same Street Tacos and had the same experience - rubber-like chicken - as if it had been cooked hours earlier and microwaved, food was cold and the tacos were wide open and the iongreients strewn all over the tray - anyway, I'm all done with Ocho Cafe. read more

Stopped by for lunch. The service was slow, I'm pretty sure the waiter forgot about us. We were the only table outside so I understand how it could happen. The food was okay not great. The guacamole did not seem fresh it was not creamy and was tinted brown. The rice also seemed like it had been sitting out and reheated. The place is very nice, and the food is as good Mexican food as you would find on any other decent restaurant, but it was a bit unnerving that the server was not using a mask when there's a town mandate. Granted, all customers do not use masks while eating, but employees are supposed to be wearing one. Not sure if we will return, specially as long as the virus is still around. read more

Went with 2 friends. Seated quickly. We went around 5:30 p.m. they brought nachos and a small carafe of sauce. It wasn't too spicy. Waiter was nice. But seemed chaotic. Gave us enough time to decide. Our order and drinks were quick. Tables are small considering we all had a meal and drinks. Everything was cramped. Nice decor. Did remind me of Chili's. Prices a little higher than Chili's. They did not rush us. We hung around and chatted. We all decided to take the left overs home. We had to package them up ourselves. Food was good. Not spicy. Menu was good. Food tasteless, very bland. Disappointing. Menu lists lunch and dinner prices. Same meal and serving size costs more during dinner. Most places have separate lunch/dinner menus in this situation. Apparently noon is dinner time at Ocho Cafe even though menu says lunch hours 11am-3pm mon-sun. Ate here at noon and was told "not doing lunch prices today". Huh? We went there the first night they were open. The atmosphere and service were fine. We did get a good amount of attention considering they were busy. The salsa is good although a little too watery. The chips are thick and somewhat flavorless. I had the steak fajitas which I asked them too cook rare. The steak was cooked well done. For $22.00 I should get my steak the way I want it. The "fixins" they give you aren't even enough for one fajita. They don't include any shredded cheese either. I asked for cheese, extra pico and sour cream and they charged me extra. They charge you too much money for what you get. I will go down the road and get my fajitas the way I want them and where they don't charge me extra for things that should be included anyway. My son and I went to this restaurant for the first time today. We both got the chicken street tacos and they were the worst! The only thing in them was dry chicken. We poured our beans over them and asked for sour cream to moisten them. My son ate one and I ate one. We took the others home for the dog..won't be going back! read more
