$195 for highlights and cut with hair dry. Took about 4.5 hours. Jenna is very kind, gentle, and charismatic with all her clients. Seems like Saturdays are busy and get filled quickly. I made a reservation a week prior to flying out here. Been wanting my greys to come out and find this is an excellent look to allow. Front desk was the best part of the experience. I purchased a couples massage for my wife(40)and i(35). Our two therapists were nice enough(jessica and another woman), but the 90 minute massage was 71 minutes hands on to hands off. 75% of the massage was spent on a single area of both our backs and my wife even had to ask her to move on because that area was numb. Around $300 for a couples 90 minutes massage. We left frustrated and slimy. read more

I got a gift card for &75 and thought I would "treat myself" and get my eyebrows done. Well, never take kids there that's for sure. I took my 1 1/2yr old who's pretty chill all the time and I went upstairs to meet Danielle (my tech) (LO was sleeping upon my arrival) She came in and had me in there not even a full five minutes. I felt like she was rushing through bc my son woke up a minute after she started and cried for a sec but usually it doesnt take long anyways so I told her it was fine. Mind you my son was not wailing or going nuts just small cries. Anyways so she rushed me through getting my eyebrows done. She never showed me my eyebrows to see how she did before leaving her I had to find a mirror around the corner in the salon! at that point I was just annoyed and frustrated I even wasted my time and $25 off my $75 gift card to have my eyebrows look just as bad as they did when I went in! It looked like they weren't even touched! I used to go there with my mom all the time growing up 15 or so years ago to get my hair done. Now after that experience recently. Im trying to give away a $50 gift card now bc the service was Awful and not welcoming at all. Stef did my makeup for a meeting today and was absolutely incredible! I'm from Boston and had never been to Ochoa. Naturally, I was a little hesitant to get a makeup application by someone I don't know, but she exceeded any/all expectations. She understood the exact look I was aiming for, stopped to ask my opinion along the way, took her time and was genuinely great to chat with during the process. I highly recommend her for any occasion! Also kudos to the front desk who were able to accommodate me 30 minutes early for my appointment. Bonus: after driving 2 hours from Boston to Ochoa, they allowed me to use a room in the spa that was private to change and freshen up after my appointment so I was meeting-ready. I went to this salon after a friend recommended it (it was also one of the top salons on yelp as well). I went in for a balayage and a haircut. The stylist told me that I should get highlights instead and that she would "blend" them. I was hesitant but said okay since they're the "experts." Anyways I left the salon with "orange" highlights that were NOT blended and perpendicular lines at the scalp. My hair cut was insanely uneven and I literally had to trim my own hair that night to not make it look like it was cut by a 2 year old. It was so horrible. I called the next day to have it redone. They were able to squeeze me in (hence the one star). She fixed some of the perpendicular lines and added more blonde to take away from the orange. It's not great but I'm now atleast able to go in public. I was very disappointed, especially after spending so much money. Will NOT be going back. read more

I went to Ariana for a women's haircut with three pictures of exactly what I wanted, they were pictures of me and a haircut I used to have, not from magazines, etc. Basically, just a few angles around my face, a couple layers, and done. I wear strong glasses, so I have my glasses off when she's cutting, and I've not idea really what's going on? When Ariana was finished, she said proudly, AND I THINNED YOUR HAIR WAY OUT!, OMG!! I love having thick hair, and I rely on the thickness to control the frizzies, and flyaway hairs. I've never complained about my thick hair, or asked for it to be "thinned out", she totally went rogue on this, and I'm miserable. It looks like a Carol Brady shag from the 70's and will take years, yes years, to grow out all the "thinning". And, I provided feedback on the form that they sent immediately following my appointment, explaining how unhappy I was, the whole situation and noone even bothered to call or email me from Ochoa. I'm really miserable, I feel like Sampson when they cut his hair. I would not recommend this stylist, and frankly, Ochoa is highly over rated and pricey. read more

Nelly washed my hair and I give her 5 stars! She was so kind and gave me a great wash. Water at the perfect temp and she somehow didn't pull a single hair on my head! Serena did my haircut. I have struggled with my skin for years, so it was really hard finding a new place and person I could trust. Danielle was so sweet and very knowledgeable when it came to skin care. The results are immediate and my skin still looks amazing a week later. I highly recommend Danielle at Ochoa for any skin care concerns. I was there Friday for a "trim" with Gina. This is the worst hit cut I have ever recieved. It was so uneven and choppy. After calling they offered me to come back in for a different stylist to fix it. Jill (my second stylist) was wonderful she was able to fix the hot mess that was my hair. I've been a client here for years, and through any of the stylists I've seen - Crystal, Annie, and Michaela, I've always been thrilled with the results. They always take their time on your hair and listen very intently and carefully to their clients when they're explaining what they're looking for. They use top tier high quality products, and for blondes, they're the best I've ever found. Michaela is one of the best colorists for blondes I've ever encountered - my hair always comes out looking healthy, beige, bright, and natural - no yellow mustard tint, like you sometimes find with colorists who do blonde. Everyone at the salon is extremely professional, and is willing to go the extra mile to ensure their clients are comfortable and continue coming back. I just had an appointment with Gina and I wanted to come here and give her a great rating! I have curly hair and this the best cut I've been given. I've had a few stylists tackle my curls and they've all done the same old same old layers. Gina used a technique of cutting with the curve of the curl that I've never had done before and it worked! I love the cut and she was really helpful and friendly the whole time. Also, the price was fair and I appreciate that. Based on ability/knowledge,price, and personality -- I recommend Gina. Kara Albano is a sloppy hairdresser. Also doesn't listen to the clear communication and ask of the client. Paid 130 for a balayage and she basically threw in highlights. Didn't full finish blow dry with wet under Hair. Just so unprofessional and disappointing all around. An outstanding stylist stepped in when we expressed unhappy result and she fixed it and put smile on daughters face. Her name was Mikayla. Also note Stef at same salon is excellent. Worst manicure I've ever received in my life. My neighbor's 8 year old has done better jobs. Nail polish was messy and some parts of my nails were missed completely. This was done by someone who said they've been there for over a decade. Apparently she does hair too and she should just stick to hair. I've tried contacting management but good luck with that. She has experience and knows what she is doing being that it's so easy to ruin hair with bleach. She came home crying, her hair was wet, ear-length, and she still had the hair coloring dye on her forehead!!! How is that for outstanding customer service, huh? She feels absolutely mutilated, right before Valentine's day, which was supposed to be our special occasion.
