The facility is set up nicely . The site is neat and clean to appearance. I'm uncertain if it is lack of training, or simple lack of care or pride in effective clean practices. Major malfunction in area where clean techniques are vital , it is common practices that the site cleaned and prepped for needle stick is touched by personnel with dirty glove used to touch the machines .Quality control management notified on three occasions. The manager , junior was witnessed telling donors , " you're going to have to find somewhere else to get your money today , I'm not helping you and your negativity " . The patrons response was epic as it is the epitome of customer service . " Look at my face again , all the faces around you , WE are the reason you are able to clock in every shift . It's sad you treat us as if you're giving us charity instead of good customer service " HE then started screaming for security to throw them all out , and it was HIS STAFF that lied of the circumstances, everyone witnessed it . Let me start off by saying most of the staff are nice and helpful, but aren't properly trained and unexperienced. I've only donated twice, the first wasn't too bad, easy $75 bucks if you need cash ASAP, but it did bruise my arm a little. BUT the second time, man did they mess my arm up. It hurts so bad, I understand my veins have always been hard to find, but I notified them about the first time they bruised me & specifically asked for a senior phlebotomist, I told them my veins are tricky to find, and they went ahead & had 3 different phleb. stick me anyways... not going back not worth it at all. read more

I've been coming to this center for a couple years off and on. I was an original customer going to the one off C st and La Cadena until they moved. They always have taken good care of me. There staff is polite and respectful. Even when there short staffed and busy. I expected my experience to be more professional due to the circumstances although the front intake assistance was a great experience very kind and professional the back assistance was not extremely rude from the tone of voice to the response. For example I felt a Lil dehydrated and when I brought this to there attention and asked for water I was refused and was told "I'm suited up I cant" so when I asked another employee that was not suited up that I felt like I was going to pass out can he please give me some water his response was I'm sorry your not allowed to drink bk here.. I told him that was not true my last visit I was offered a Gatorade back here and was asked to drink it before I left . That's when I finally got a water bottle.. very uncomfortable and unprofessional. read more

HORRIBLE PLACE!!! I kept my mouth shut because I needed the extra cash but enough is enough. Unprofessional staff always leaves the wrapper to gauze or other items on the donor!!! Also the women are disgusting constantly talking about what their plans are for after work and drinking and what not. Too top it off they can't be on top of little things such as a protein sample!!! No no no no no. There are SO MANY BETTER PLACES than here. this place is hecka sketchy. I didn't realize that until I tried donating somewhere else. The employees are rude, the facility is gross, and they make you listen to all of the questionnaire questions which takes FOREVER. They do not wanna help you out when they screw up your referrals and you end up not getting paid. Plus in general, other companies pay way better. They say they give you some saline back but the bag is usually still half full when i'm done which doesn't seem super safe cause, other places give the full 500mL. Also their machines always get clogged super easy and stop super often which does not happen to me at other locations. My husbands veins have been missed every single time and they are so big they are visible sticking up from his skin (doesn't make sense). My first donation I had blood gushing down my arm but I couldn't tell cause they hide the needle under gauze and so you can't see what's going on with it and it took forever to get someone's attention to help me so it ended up all over my jacket. I know the gauze is for "to keep dirt out" but they clean it with iodine first and no one is touching it within the hour so i think that's dumb. If you do go, make sure you bring required documents and make sure you bring music or something to listen to. Expect your first donation to take a couple hours. That is the same for any plasma donation center. read more

I will save everyone the time and grief from going down there if you are diabetic. Don't! I should have done more of my own research about donating plasma. The reason I gave the one star is.......because the center needs to post this for people with diabetes on their website or building for uninformed people like myself. I went thru the whole screening process and truthfully answered the health questions, when I finally seen the medical examiner(3 hours in)he asked me about my diabetes and what medication I was taking. That is when you are informed that you cannot donate plasma this process needs to be addressed for diabetics wanting to donate plasma. It will save time and frustration for both parties. read more

they still don't change gloves after every poke. I have big veins and they still fuck up on mine arms. 2 times within 2 weeks with 2 different nurses, they had to take it out because they fucked up. And what's with this oh i miss the vain... let me wiggle the big ass needle around til i get it in there. don't go routing around in my arm, I think they think we are cadavers or something. if you missed the vain. take it out and go to the other vain don't try to make it work, that's how you blow veins! read more

(90% of them) -obnoxious people in waiting room (95% of them) -needle hurts :/ -i witnessed a women pass out so drink a lot of water! Not just the day of, but the 8-10 hrs before you donate. read more

I had made my forth donation 6-25-15 since after my first donation I've had trouble or friends have had trouble with this location. Besides the long wait which isn't the problem it's them sticking us which misses our veins or returning blood back into a muscle or needle popping out as well as machine malfunctioning. I think the workers in the back should be retrained. read more

PLEASE READ BEFORE COMING TO DONATE HERE!!! Hello everyone, I need to let people know how the service is here. But before that I just want to share that when I used to live in Orange County, CA I used to donate plasma at BIOMAT USA. The staff was really professional and ethical about everything. They made sure they didn't injure you and always made sure you were and stayed hydrated. They had drinks anything from water to powerless etc. so after you donated you remained hydrated. They showed much more importance towards your hematocrit and your protein levels. The pay you receive as a reward to donate is way different. I get 15 every time I donate where as BIOMAT I would receive anywhere between 25-30 per donation. I'm a small female, 125 pounds and 5'3 so with that in mind it's very easy to find my veins. Weak and not weak they are very easy to spot. Last week they stuck the needle in a vein that was weak in my right arm and gave me a huge Hematoma that hasn't gotten better at all no matter how much care I give to it. They put the the blood pressure cuff on way too tight and when I asked if they could make it looser they took a while to actually do it. That's when they saw my hematoma. So they decided to stop with that arm and gave me a disposable bag of ice to put in my arm and continued with my left arm. read more

I gave them a 2 star rating because the staff has always been friendly and doing their best. BUT the wait times are horrible I use to go to biomat in upland CA never waited more than 20 min here I have waited 3 hours including donating time. I think they just need to implement a better system or hire more workers. Also, another issue I see here is the actual place is dirty, EVERY single time I have went into the restroom there is never been any seat covers and I even mentioned it to upper Managment in the back (victor or Vincent specifically) he said he would take care if it and every time I go back there's none in there and the trash is over flowing. read more

Been coming here for years. I'm glad they switched to this location because the other one was really small. Today they were moving quickly and I didn't have to wait long to get a manual bp or I didn't have to wait long for a bed even though there was a line. Sometimes when I come the wait is really long and they are understaffed. Sometimes I come and the wait for vitals take really long and the staff is talking. I appreciate that Anthony took the time to tell me about the raffle that was going on cause no one told me when taking my vitals. read more

Came here to try and donate plasma, i understood that the wait was going to be very long and i was ok with that. What i wasn't ok with was how rude i was being treated the minute i walked in. One of the male workers told me that what i was wearing was a distraction to those donating, i was wearing black jeans and a basic short sleeve shirt that was tied to fit me a little better, he said this under his breath and i heard it. Im sorry that it was 115 degrees and that i wasn't wearing a long sleeve turtle neck. He continued to speak under his breath as he spoke to me and he rudely asked for my form of ID and SS card. Needless to say i left right after and didn't get to donate plasma, i didn't feel welcomed and i felt as if this employee was basically trying to dress code me. read more

This facility takes forever to do their job duties.They favor certain people. I was waiting first then other people were supposed to be after me and I still was left last. And since my last visit they still haven't prossesed my plasma from the prior week before and I've been waiting still for them too fix it. read more

I've been coming here off and on for years. The wait time is sometimes ridiculous, and a lot of the newer employees have really bad attitudes and are lazy. There will be long lines and they will be just standing around socializing. Perrin, Sam, and Karen are the best. I cannot stand Yvette, and was very surprised when she got promoted. She accused me of taking photos and made a scene about it, when in reality I was just watching my friends snapchat story. I mean REALLY made a scene. The pay could be better, but it's better than nothing. read more
