We sat in the waiting room and waited for staff member, when approached, gave our names, my daughter for blood, myself for PowerRed. I asked the man about giving platelets instead because they had a sign up for platelet donations. He said both machines were occupied, I asked how soon would they be ready one hour on one machine the other 2 hours as they are just getting started. I asked about our appt times he said the blood was OK but my PowerRed the machines are tied up. I asked why then was I given an 11:30 appt if the machines were booked? He deferred me to a woman staff, who approached me at the desk saying I am early. I said yes, but will the machine be ready at 11:30? Again she told I was early and I would have to wait. I asked how long she would not give me a time. So I referred to the hour left on one machine, then sterilizing the machine before I could get on the machine, then I start the 2 hour procedure, throw I travel time it's 4 and half hours out of my day? I asked WHY was I given the appointment if the machine would not be ready? She walked away, and so did we. Came home and wrote an email to the powers to be at Vitalant about my experience. One would think if you make an appointment you would be taken care of within 10 to 15 minutes of that appointment time, is that too much to ask? I do not think so. To add even more disrespect the attitude of the woman was far from professional and respectful that you can get. Years ago Lifesource was in this location, and I was one of their regular donors, giving platelets, usually a double when I stayed on the machine an extra 15 minutes, then I would return 2 weeks later and give whole blood, and make my next appt for giving platelets again. I did this for years and at this location. Unfortunately I had to stop as I needed 4 shoulder surgeries and needed my own blood/platelets now I want to give regularly and have to put up with snarky, dismissive and disrespectful employees. WHAT HAPPENED? WHY do they insist on you making a scheduled appointment and then NOT HONOR that appointment? WHAT is wrong with this picture? Incidentally Vitalant I am a UNIVERSAL DONOR O Negative and my adult daughter is O Positive, boy did you guys miss out! (I also in my conversation with the disrespectful employee mentioned we are O- and O+, it didn't faze her ar all) UPDATE: Since posting my initial review above, the so called Owner/Manager responded to me below. He said the right things, (see below) but if he REALLY WANTED to get to the bottom and fix the problem wouldn't he have tried to call me directly? Or email me directly? They have all that info that was provided in order to schedule the appointment that they did not honor. Just another person in charge giving LIP SERVICE BUT NO RESOLUTION! Great way to do business!

The three women there at my visit were bilingual - Spanish speakers can feel at ease here. Luckily, I visited during a Tshirt giveaway and walked out with a cute long sleeve! The refreshments were your typical: juice, gold fish, and GLUTEN FREE PRETZELS! I was amazed. I was in and out in 45 minutes and felt great about myself for the rest of the day. My grandmother has lived here for over a year due to her new diagnosis of dementia, There have been…read moreso many issues that we continue to deal with as a family! This facility does not make their elderly clients a priority, and it is very clear as to how it is ran! We almost had a med error as they have a patient at their facility with a similar last name and if family wasn't paying attention, she would have been given the wrong medication! We continue to have to call the facility to ensure that she is being showered, her laundry is being washed, and her room is cleaned appropriately! Of late, the biggest issue has been the facility being infested with big bugs, It took them over 48 hours to address while my grandmother slept on her couch because her mattress was covered in bedbugs and they told us there was no other place to relocate her to, So we took her out of the facility for four weeks so they could deal with the issue. After several emails and phone calls, because they do not do as they say they are going to do, they finally got her a new apartment and did not even bother to move all of her things. Our family had to take on the burden of moving her once again! We asked for financial compensation for the four weeks that she was not there at the facility and still have not gotten an answer and that has been over two months ago! We continue to be unhappy with this facility as they do not make their residence a priority. I do not recommend this facility to anyone for their elderly loved ones!

My mother-in-law moved into Asbury Court with her husband, she suffered from dementia. Good for him…read morebecause he is reasonably self-sufficient, but not so good for her. From what I observed Asbury Court is not well equipped to help elders who are in need of special care and especially those with dementia. Public Medicare assisted elder care care suffers from under staffing, low pay and unqualified caregivers who are not properly trained. Asbury Court is no exception. Their website lists memory care, please do not be fooled. The only memory care that I witnessed was over medication to be placed in a docile and non-functional state of mind and body. While some attendants are kind and empathetic at Asbury Court, many lack the skills and motivation to deal with difficult cases like my mother-in-law and her family members. Is there a better public funded facility out there for elders who suffer from dementia? I hope so, and maybe you can find one! Our baby boomer population generation is fueling a 75% increase in the number of people age 65 and older requiring nursing home care.

The staff seemed rushed and overworked, and it showed in how poorly customers were treated. From the moment I walked in, the process felt chaotic and unorganized -- long waits, little communication, and no sense of compassion for the people actually donating. The facility itself didn't feel very clean, and at times I honestly felt more like a number than a human being. Donating plasma is not easy on your body, but the staff acted like donors were disposable, just another body to cycle through. On top of that, I couldn't help but notice how stressed and unhappy the employees looked. When workers are clearly burnt out and unsupported, it trickles down into how customers get treated too. It left me wondering how much this company really values anyone in the building, whether staff or donors. I understand plasma donation is important, but there are other centers in Chicago that treat people with more respect and run a tighter ship. My advice: try somewhere else if you want a smoother, more humane experience.

You can get in and out pretty quickly and the staff here is extremely fast and helpful. Plus, if your insurance doesn't fully cover your procedure, it is much less to cover than in hospital test costs. I am always impressed with how fast my appointment is whenever I have come here. Nice bonus having Jarosch Bakery next door too, as you can grab coffee and a pastry after your test.

We arrived at 6:15 am for the 6:30 am appointment and was told they got approval for Medicare but they did not request approval for secondary insurance and that we would be responsible for anything Medicare did not cover. I said all our information was given over the phone and the lady had put me on hold while she checked insurance and said everything was completed. Bad part is my husband needed to be drugged prior to service, so we drugged him for no reason. and now we have to start all over with registation and request new script for Ativan. Drove 50 miles to be rejected at the door. I just called to speak with scheduling manager and got the run around. They said no manager is available to take my call. No problem - We are not coming back.

Nesset Pavillion has been home base for our medical needs for many years now. We are very pleased…read morewith the services, staff, and the facility itself. I only started this review as I saw this Yelp site, but really the review is more about the Advocate Medical Group housed here (and they have their own Yelp review site). There's not much more to say about the facility itself except it's convenient with good hours, and has a big convenient parking lot that is often filled! Our PCP, Dr. Ellen Aleksandrovich, is the best and she is very competent, caring, communicative, proactive, and empathetic to the patient's needs. Their systems also work great and responsively without long waits - systems meaning phone calls or messages, their PA staff, their website which is used for both medical info storage as well as messaging, their billing and payments system, their appointment scheduling, their lab appointments system and staff, etc. They also have several specialists based here that we see, and they have the same support system. We routinely get bloodwork and sometimes imaging done here. They are part of the Advocate Medical Group and in turn associated directly with the excellent Advocate Lutheran General Hospital nearby. In our experience, it's a big thumbs up for Nesset Pavillion and the Advocate Medical Group staff here.

I was forced to go because I ran out of a script & they told me I had to see the doctor first before I could get it refilled. I would just as soon take none of these drugs (I mean I'm not even getting high from them ) As it turns out its been over 1 year since my last physical so I figured I might as well have the tests done. I guess the fact that I have insurance they figured out they might as well order everything deluxe and do Lab Tests, EKG, Ultrasound (Am I pregnant ?). Anyway 2 hrs seems a bit excessive. The attending resident doctor did a very good job and was very through, but the front desk staff leaves a lot to be desired. When I arrived the girl asked me if I could hold on for a minute. I waited for about 5 minutes and finally realized there were a couple of other people that could have checked me in. When I left there were only 2 people. As I walked out the first person just walked away and didn't say anything so I checked out with the other person.
