So the lines in this place can take 1 to 2hrs. No seating for your wait. I'm a disabled veteran I can't stand for hrs at a time any longer. So I brought a small accordion style stool. To move along in the line. I was told I can't sit on my stool. If I didn't get up I would be denied. I explained I was disabled and couldn't stand for hours. The manager said she didn't care and I had to leave because her rule is no sitting. So after explaining the situation 1 more time. and told she doesn't care if I'm disabled I can't sit. I scheduled a new donor appointment and went through 2 and a half hours of their new donor screenings only to be told that I couldn't donate due to my medication, which was not on their disqualified medication list. Complete waste of time!! If you take any medication even if it's not the list, make sure to ask about it before you go through all their screenings to save your time. read more

They are now using AI to schedule their employees. It now takes almost 3 hrs to donate. 1 hr to stand in line, an hr to get to a bed, and almost an hour to donate. It used to take half that time on a busy day. Hardly seems worth it now. read more

2/2/2021 was my first visit at octapharma since 2016. Honestly with old memories and reading old reviews I wasn't looking forward to it. But I needed some cash and wanted to help as a donor. I was amazed at the positive changes. As a new donor they put me in the express lane. The place was clean, staff up front treated me like family. When I got to a chair I expected to wait about an hour. Within 5 yes five minutes, a girl came to my chair, introduced herself, explained the new machines as she was gently taking a blood sample. I felt a gentle prick on my arm without realizing I was already setup. The smoothest process I've ever experienced. In 40 minutes I was done. The saline at the end made a huge difference. I used to love going here to donate twice a week never missed a day and made alot of nice friends!! But after donating for 4 months they decided because I had a knee replacement I could not donate anymore even tho I told them at the very beginning I had a knee replacement. My surgeon was very upset!! He said my knee replacement has nothing to do with donating Plasma!! NOT HAPPY!! None of the other plasma centers have this rule!! read more

To the person who responded to my post:. I'm not sure how to contact you directly but if you read my post it explains why I was considered deferred after being told several times, come back in... Not that I could have changed the number of tattoos or piercings I have had (most are closed). To have called ahead, explained my situation to two on the phone and then in person... To be told "no" by someone, sight unseen... Even after explaining my husband donates twice weekly.... So if *I* had anything contagious, so would he... No one there cares.. would you care to tell me who else I might appeal to? Because I've been "permanently deferred" for a number of tattoos... Looks scary on the outside, is even more horrid on the inside. Went there once two years ago, couldn't even donate because by the time they finally got me back to the nurse, my blood pressure was so high from being sexually harassed by the customers to stepping in piss in the bathroom that they rejected me. Spent 2 hours there just to be made to feel threatened by the creepy homeless men that hang out just because. Their payment for plasma does not make it worth it either. If anyone is thinking of donating here, please run in the other direction if you value your life. read more

I just spent two hours and 17 minutes at this place donating plasma!!! What a joke! It usually only takes an hour 30, at worst. I saw this corporate goon in here Wednesday, spreading bad vibes all over the building. The staff was afraid of him. That is not how to run a business.This placed is always understaffed and overwhelmed. Maybe they should pay them more and hire some that don't spent as much time flirting or gossiping as they do sticking and disconnecting. Some new system this clown ordered used had 12, count 'em, 12 of us all sitting , waiting to be stuck.It was over an hour befpre any of us got stuck. I f it ain't broke, don't fix it, corporate ass. No, last week I was in and out the door in an hour 24,so the new system is still born. You do this to me again, I will go to biomat, and I have donated over 300 times here, til you guys pissed me off last year, and I was gone for 16 months. Listen to your customers! It took over 2 and a quarter hours to give today and it was not even busy!!!One more time, and you lose me forever. By the way, the managers at this location already know this system doesn't work. They fear you. That is a pretty stupid way to run a business. I guarrantee you will make less plasma if you keep this up.You should be ashamed. Are you that greedy? I would rather go anywhere else to donate plasma, biomat treats their customers so much better. On my first time donating they were disorganized and even put my birth year as 2015, which makes no sense because you have to be 18 to donate. I had to wait 30 minutes extra for them to fix it then they stuck my arm wrong causing a huge bruise then did the same thing to the other arm. I came back 5 days later to donate and still had healing bruises so they wouldn't let me donate. They let my boyfriend donate so I waited in the waiting room for him. I was told to sit in the waiting room but there were only 6 chairs and all of them were full and there was also at least 7 people standing so I stood outside for awhile but it was 89 degrees so I went back inside where I was asked what I was doing I said waiting for a donor and she told me I couldn't wait inside so I waited ourself in 89 degrees for over 2 hours while my boyfriend donated. They were rude in their tone and made no effort to make any kind of connection with any of the patients or make us feel more comfortable. read more
