Good place for gatherings and celebrations! The space is clean and accommodating. I would recommend it for future events with large groups.

The only downside was that water was accumulating in the sink, which made it uncomfortable to use. It seems like a small maintenance issue, but it did affect the overall comfort. Aside from that, everything else was good, and we enjoyed our stay.

Each room brings forth a nice cozy ambiance, but the niceties, sad to say end right there. Once you get past the lobby, the accommodations are rather sparse and basic. A "W" style hotel this is not. The hallways are with have very low ceilings making for a cramped feel throughout. Our bathroom was missing its shower curtain with predictable consequences upon the bathroom floor. To add to the inconveniences, the Hair dryer blows only cold air, as the heating element was broken inside. The air conditioner was rather noisy, not to mention that we could hear the guests from the floor above us! Desk lighting was harsh and non adjustable. Smallish windows to the outside from our room. To top it off, our room keys were invalidated at least 90 minutes before the noon checkout time, so we had to go back to the front desk to renew our keycards! Geez.... Pluses: Good pillows, tons of desk space! Verdict: Don't be fooled by the modern vibe. Think of this as a Motel 6 but with a modern vibe if you do choose to stay here. This is a hotel with just the most basic of accommodations, only some of which work properly.. Not recommended.

The space is spotless, well-organized, and the staff make you feel instantly welcome. They've also got snacks and drinks on hand, so there's zero reason to leave once you've settled in. Needless to mention, unlike almost any other board game cafe in the Bay Area, they don't charge you just to sit and play. On top of that, they have a huge collection of comic books, board games, and comics-related items and artifacts available to purchase, so it's easy to walk out with more than you came in for. I love this place so much that it's always hard for me to leave. They close at 7 PM on weekends, and every single week, I find myself wishing I had just a little more time before heading out. If you want a calm, genuinely fun way to spend an afternoon, this is the spot in the entire Bay Area.

Inventory is really thoughtful, they have a fantastic selection of anything a nerdy heart could desire. Definitely recommend. My fiance also comes here for MtG events, and he has nothing but glowing things to say about this place.

Cupertino Hotel - Once again lots of police presence. I believe this happens every weekend. Wouldn't the hotel do a better job screening people staying here?

Upon arrival, I walked into the lobby for check in and was met with an aggressive man shouting at hotel staff about needing a ride. The staff member ignored most of his requests making matters worse and making me feel uncomfortable and unsafe. My room was located on the second floor overlooking the parking lot. The floor had dirt on it and a dead bug. I was concerned about bed bugs and chose to limit my contact with the bed, other than to sleep. The sheets appeared clean, but little things were missed: dust, dirt, fingerprints, watermarks. For the cost of the room and the reviews, I expected much more. I did not use the pool, nor the hot tub. No gym on premises. The continental breakfast was tasty, but no one was checking to see if anything needed refilling. By the time I came down for breakfast, there was only about 1/2 scoop of scrambled eggs. At least 5 guests arrived after me and did not have any eggs. Someone complained to the person working the lobby and food was finally replenished and tables were finally cleaned. I felt this needed more supervision. The elevator has not been inspected in years per the signage posted. A temporary permit was granted through August 2025, but had lapsed by my May 2026 visit. The hotel is closely located near a grocery store, several restaurants within driving distance, and a highway. Overall, this hotel isn't worth the money they are charging. Safety and convenience are important to me, and convenience was the only real positive.

Huge shoutout to Luz for wonderful service and interactions throughout the stay. Super happy about complimentary parking although I do wish the walk to get back to your property was a bit more direct and shorter distance. Great clean stay to end our honeymoon!…read more My wife and I stopped in San Jose to soak in one more day on our honeymoon along California. We chose the Residence Inn San Jose Cupertino for its proximity to the 280, and were pleasantly surprised to see it was centrally located in Main Street Cupertino (restaurants and dessert shops galore). Karen at the front desk was very welcoming, and upon learning we were on our honeymoon, sent up a surprise gift with a lovely hand written note. Our Studio 1 King, Sofa bed room was clean and spacious, and immediately earned our Poodle approval. Odd number rooms face the Main Street area, whereas even number rooms face the parking lot (something to keep in mind during check in). The true highlight was the restaurant's free breakfast, with a plethora of traditional breakfast options and additional items such as organic chocolate milk, fresh roasted potatoes, and various nuts. A few extra highlights included: late checkout of 1pm, pet relief area, and an expansive patio area which had plenty of couches, a fireplace, and tables. Overnight parking is at a nearby parking garage (free). Highly recommend the Residence Inn San Jose Cupertino for a clean, centrally located stay with an excellent complimentary breakfast buffet.
