What a cool spot in wonderful New Hope, PA!…read more I loved the outside porch and the inside vibe. Big, colorful lit stars abound, plus cool artwork and flyers for upcoming bands. The stage is a decent size and the band - DIBBS AND THE DETONATORS (Rockabilly music) - we saw were really damned good - got soooo many people up and dancing from song #1 !!! I got to slow dance with my honey to Chris Isaak's 'Wicked Game' too :) Can I say that my 80's heart was in absolute heaven?!!! We ordered some apps - very good wings (I'm not a French fry person, but a side came out in a big BOWL!). Some happy patrons with that one! I barely ever drink but the drinks that were ordered, got good reviews. If you know New Hope with the parking . . . it's a bit rough, but I'd rough it and come back in a heartbeat! (We met the owner - I forget his name, but nice guy and very hands on).

Havana is the name of the family owned business and their food menu is eclectically inspired. The drink menu features mojitos, martinis, an array of cocktails, a great beer list, a beautiful wine selection, and a full bar. There is something for everyone and the quality is fresh and delicious; we chowed down on the guacamole and nachos and if we could hold our liquor, we would try every one of their mojitos. The outdoor patio was very popular, even on a chilly day when we visited, and now that we've experienced it, we see why. The large space has fun vibes, a TV to watch the game, and has an outdoor bar covered by the ornate roof and an open-air section for some sunshine. We loved that the staff was on top of their game and made sure all the portable heaters were practically placed to keep their patrons comfortable. The bartender was fantastic and attentive too.

Octopus-so charred that it was bitter Sea bass-fantastic: mild taste, buttery, perfectly cooked. The Cauliflower Puree was smooth and a tasty, balanced bite when eaten together with the fish and sauce Short rib over risotto-tender, deeply flavored meat and generous amount of red wine sauce over creamy risotto was delicious. Our waitress did a good job explaining the menu options, just a bit of a mix-up with my dining companion's drink order. Complimentary macarons at the end of our meal were a nice surprise. We again ate inside because of the humidity but both inside and out are beautiful. The Tuna Poke appetizer was not only large but fantastic with what seemed to be almost a quarter to a half pound of excellent tuna. The Baked Oysters with garlic Parmesan were good but slightly overpowered by the cheese. The Chilean Sea Bass with cauliflower purée, butter mustard vinaigrette and Hazelnut Cream was delicious. The Special Seafood dish was a North Atlantic Cod in a white wine butter sauce with olives, capers, artichokes and Feta. Mind-blowing!! For dessert we shared a delicious Crème Brûlée All the servers were attentive and we had fun talking to them. A beautiful place to check out.

This locally owned restaurant is located in the heart of the New Hope Restaurant and bar scene…read more The food is delicious, eclectic and creative! Our server kept our multiple course dinner flowing with a kind smile and professional manner. We walked over from our #WedgwoodInn and #authenticNewHopeBedBreakfastInn. We got the last table - a cute place right by the window and it felt like we were outside but without the chill of the autumn air. The ambiance was relaxed with lots of exposed wood and brick and greenery everywhere. Service was good and although food took a little while, it wasn't too long. Husband got a Caesar wrap which he liked. I got the stir fry veggies with rice and I added chicken. The veggies were crisp and plentiful, sauce seemed to be teriyaki. Good chicken. I was so excited to eat it, I forgot the photo! The only problem for me is the rice was fairly scant. I like lots of carbs. If we were just going home, I'd have a snack but we were out of town so I ordered more rice which took a while again. And they gave me a full side order which was too much. But still, all the food was excellent and exactly what I'd wanted.

My friend and I went to Stella for dinner before attending a play at the Bucks County Play House…read more We did not have an appetite for alcoholic drinks or soup to nuts that night, but I will tell you that our entrees were enough to fill us up for the whole night. My friend ordered the salmon special, and said that she really enjoyed it. I forgot to note how the mashed potatoes were made but I do know they had some paprika in them. Almost like a twice baked but different. Delish! I had the French Onion Pasta. OMG. If you are a French onion fan please run to Stella. I have thought about it ever day since. What a wonderfully bouquet of onion. The whole meal was onion yet not overpowering at all! The cream sauce was not too heavy. This meal is to die for. I cannot wait to go back. The view is amazing, we ate at the window by the river and of course all of the servers and runners are polite and friendly, as is the nature of the upscale restaurant. We both highly recommend Stella.

For this five star review, I want to slightly preface that perhaps a small portion of why my wife…read moreand I had such a splendid experience at The Boat House was because of our timing, but I'll come back to that shortly because regardless of when we were there, I did love so much about this place. Recommended by almost any local you ask, The Boat House sits in the quieter Lambertville side of the bridge that connect this Jersey town to the slightly more bustling New Hope, PA. Down an Edison-lighted alleyway you'll find this small house for boats and ya know, it probably was a house (not sure about for boats) because it's pretty dang small. The night we were there I noticed there's some outdoor tables available, but really the interior downstairs area only fits a handful of folks. The upstairs can hold a bit more and that is where our timing lies. Somehow, we must have been early/lucky enough to hit The Boat House on a Friday evening when everyone was still out to dinner because the very friendly host sat us upstairs where we had the entire place to ourselves for almost our entire time there. Having the space added such an extra vibe to everything, especially because those creaky steps lead up to what really gives The Boat House its name as the ceiling is covered in maritime memorabilia. The walls, book shelves, and eclectic array of tables and chairs also adds to this. People or not, it is a true unique spot. But what really makes the place so great (besides the looks and the friendly staff who never stopped checking in on us) are the drinks. To start, my wife wasn't feeling alcohol and got an Aper-No Spritz which did the trick, though for myself, I dove into the intriguing list of specialty drinks that makes this place worth visiting. Round one was the Rower's Reserve which lists as a Boat House original and is gin-based with Amaro Nonino, sage, and blackberries to create some fantastic flavors. Round two I had to go with a personal favorite (with a twist) in the smoked honey Negroni which tasted exactly as it sounded. There were a bunch of other libations that also sounded intriguing, but that'll have to be for a future visit. Overall, there's a reason people from the area always suggest The Boat House. It's a true old fashioned maritime cocktail bar that gives you all the feels you'd want from a place like this. Perhaps this review is a little tainted in timing, but hey, maybe that'll give you a little motivation to get here on the earlier side and checkout the upstairs area for yourself. No matter if there's people up there or not, it's a good time here. Cheers!

If what you're looking for is just a space to relax and drink yummy cocktails than this is your place. While it's off the main street it was certainly not hard to find as there were signs pointing down the alley. Also, just note that the bathroom is up a very steep and narrow set of stairs.
