We came in as a party of 6 last night and our service was terrible. The restaurant was not busy and our glasses sat empty for 15-20 minutes. Unless our server was bringing food or drinks, we never saw her. She couldn't recall what gins their bar carried (there was no gin selection listed on their menu despite a listed cocktail having gin in it). The food wasn't very good. The Spicy tuna bites, mac and cheese, and lobster ravioli didn't taste like anything. The salmon was dry. we were visiting on a weeknight and most places in town were fairly empty but this one was full which seemed a good sign! We got the last table - a cute place right by the window and it felt like we were outside but without the chill of the autumn air. The ambiance was relaxed with lots of exposed wood and brick and greenery everywhere. Service was good and although food took a little while, it wasn't too long. Husband got a Caesar wrap which he liked. I got the stir fry veggies with rice and I added chicken. The veggies were crisp and plentiful, sauce seemed to be teriyaki. Good chicken. I was so excited to eat it, I forgot the photo! The only problem for me is the rice was fairly scant. I like lots of carbs. If we were just going home, I'd have a snack but we were out of town so I ordered more rice which took a while again. And they gave me a full side order which was too much. Came to visit new hope from out of town, and walked into this spot as the menu looked good. The hostess Barbie, said there are no working heaters outside unless we want to sit at the bar, (it's 50 degrees outside, we're from miami so it's cold for us) we were confused as to why she was saying this , so we asked why we couldn't sit inside , she said because we have a dog, we explained he is a trained service animal, and she said "we don't allowed that". We said okay and walked out to have dinner elsewhere. Please know, We will be filing a complaint with the DOJ civil rights division. read more

Went for quick dinner with my wife. Those who have read my reviews remember between us we have gluten allergy, tree nut allergy, alpha gal , we are dairy free and diabetic. So, the staff here were very helpful to ensure we got our questions answered. I had the Caesar salad with salmon and she had the chicken tacos with a side salad. Hers particularly was a lot of food! Very generous helpings here. The Caesar was ok - dressing not as tasty as I would have liked . Her tacos were good. We just had our son's first birthday party in the loft. I can't say enough nice things about the staff. Gwen worked with me and my mom on planning. She was amazing. I was so anxious about the snow and she was just so comforting and trying to make the day as calm and easy as possible. She worked with us the entire time up to the event. The lost space was great. I usually have a great time at this bar as me and my friend have been coming here for over 2 years. However tonight was different. I was paying for drinks with my friend's card when the bartender made a rude remark. His name is aiden. I initially did not tip on the card as i was asking my friends if they had cash. After he took the check he said "your not gona tip?" I said " Oh i'm so sorry! Let me see that check again!" then he threw down the check. I tipped over 20% in the card. He then called me a "rich stuck up bitch" to his coworker. After I talked to him, he offered to pay for the next round but we no longer left comfortable staying there so we left. I always feel welcomed at greenhouse but unfortunately not tonight. Food and service were great but the price for what you get is a bit steep. The small plates noodle bowl was $12 and to add the shrimp was an additional $10 ($8 for chicken). Same for the stir fry. The ambiance is definitely super cute with greenhouse meets old Irish pub aesthetic (sounds weird but I promise it works). There is a nice space outside with heaters as well as an outside bar which seemed like a nice place to hang out. Also a decent option who are vegetarian I would imagine. My husband had the stir fry which was a pretty average stir fry, nothing to write home about but no complaints either. I had the noodle bowl from the small plates menu and added shrimp. It was a nice size for a lunch once the protein was added. It packed just enough heat and was good in flavor. I was glad that the waitress made sure I was ok with the spice as well as it being a cold dish before putting in the order. If it were a day where I was having texture aversions the cold noodles might have thrown me for a loop! They had some interesting looking cocktail options that I was tempted to try but unfortunately not for $14 a pop. Wouldn't be opposed to returning if the opportunity presented itself but wouldn't go out of my way to venture back either. read more

I came here for a quick lunch on a Sunday afternoon since I was in the area and never been to this place before. My husband got the Steak Tacos and I got the Korean BBQ Tacos. They both came with handmade chips. The chips are not my favorite, but my husband enjoyed them. My husband thought the Tacos were delicious and I thought they were very good as well. While he is NOT a fan of guacamole, there was some on his tacos and actually really loved it. We also shared the thick bacon appetizer... which was 10 out of 10. It was just the right amount of Bacon, delicious sauce on it and just incredible. We ate outside, so I have no idea what the inside of this place looks like but the outside was nice with the small patio on the side. The bartender/waitress was SLAMMED though, it was busy so our order did take some time! I do think this place is a bit overpriced so probably wouldn't come back, but I would LOVE to have that bacon again. read more

I had my husbands surprise 80th birthday brunch at the Greenhouse cafe last weekend. It turned out great! The manager Gwen couldn't have been more helpful. She really took the stress out of all the planning for me. The room upstairs was so bright and cheerful and we were able to come in a little earlier to decorate. The food was terrific. And there was so much of it. We were able to pick 4 items from the brunch menu for our guests to choose from. Besides the 4 entrees (and fried French toast served family style), there were starters also served family style; fruit, mushroom toast and avocado toast. They were all delicious. Gwen made up a lovely personalized menu for the brunch with all the selections and added my husbands picture and golf images ( his favorite hobby). The drinks were delicious too. The spicy bloody Mary's and blood orange mimosas were a big hit. Celia was the main server and she was great. Very attentive to everyone. All in all it was just great. This place is not what it used to be. We ordered cocktails and water from our server. We were given the cocktails and nothing else. We ordered wings and received them with no utensils, napkins or plates. The waters never came. I had to walk to the bar to get water, plates, forks and napkins. My drink was almost empty for half the meal and I was not asked if I'd like another. Tequila Clams - Served with two pieces grilled bread. The clams were in the background of the rest of the dish. Overpowered by the chorizo (this was the best part of the dish). Was missing cilantro and I couldn't pick up on any lime (in retrospect the missing components could've saved this dish not sure why they served it without). Everything about this sounded delicious but ended up being one dimensional and over seasoned. Was not asked if I wanted to substitute for vegan chorizo which seemed carless of the waiter. Ribeye Crostini - This was a starter listed on the specials menu. To serve it blue rare made it almost impossible to eat with the rest of the components (was too tough to bite through causing the rest of the crostini to fall apart). It was also overpowered by the massive amount of balsamic glaze and although I liked the blue cheese crumble, it was way too much for two 1oz slices of ribeye on a thin crostini. (Should be advertised as rare if it is served that way) Food was mediocre, but maybe I just ordered the wrong items. They do have classic bar food i.e. wings, fries, burgers. It's more of a bar setting than anything else. Since thats the case I would recommend more of a bar food focused menu. The service was what you would expect from a bar. I wouldn't recommend this if you are looking for a bar in New Hope, nor would I agree that it is as advertised, a 'culinary oasis'. read more
