The view and food were great! My friend and I enjoyed a lunch on the back patio overlooking the river. We shared a few apps and then split the burger and turkey sando. Both were very tasty! We were not very pleased with the service unfortunately and felt we were ignored and at one point the server came over and said she "forgot" about our order. We ended up baking in the sun for 2 hours and while we enjoyed each others company, we had to hunt down our server to ask for the check. We were never offered the dessert menu and ended up leaving to a nearby ice cream shop. Would return but not for the service.

Another great lunch (table of 4) at @Martines. Inside the glass enclosed porch, we had a great view of the partially frozen #DelawareRiver . The waitress was professional and attentive. We walked from our #WedgwoodInn. If you're driving, give yourself extra time to find street parking because the restaurant die not have its own parking lot.

Absolutely warm reception upon entry! Karen was our wonderful server. We ordered magnificent berry mock tails . So delicious and fresh and colorful. Two fresh salads . So flavorful and delicious. I am crazy about the dressing. My BFF ordered the seabass and I ordered the grilled salmon . Our food was very delicious and colorful and so wonderful. Their restaurant is located right along the Delaware river overlooking Lambertville, New Jersey. And that charming Green Bridge. I had a wonderful time and I look forward to coming back!!

Martine's is a New Hope staple. While dinner service doesn't start until 5pm, you can grab a drink and snacks at the bar while you wait. Highly recommend making a reservation because the restaurant isn't super big and is a popular place (also gets quite loud). The menu isn't huge but all the selections are great. For starters, we got the pumpkin chorizo soup which was perfect for fall and had a nice little kick from the chorizo. For mains, we got the Thai curry mussels (large portion and great flavor), fried green tomatoes (3 topped with shrimp and bacon, so a sizable portion), wild boar ribs (covered in onions and peppers), and the steak frites (large portion of steak and perfectly fried fries). We ended the meal with the mousse- large scoop with whipped cream. The mousse was a pretty thick consistency, just a comment for those who are looking for something that is lighter and fluffier. It was a solid meal, nothing special but a nice dinner with friends.

Meh, Meh, and more Meh! We stopped in recently to grab an app and a drink, but kinda wish we hadn't. Upon entering the bartender was kind of b*tch and very unwelcoming. We told her we were just going to have an app and a drink and we wanted to be seated outside. Tons of attitude! So we walked outside with a waiter and found a spot to be seated by the railing. The outside sitting area by the river is why this place gets one star. It's a nice view of the river and Lambertville. We ordered: - Deviled eggs(Three half eggs with paprika and a couple capers for $6 ummm where is the other half of the second egg? Saving money?) Hilarious!!! - Hand cut fries(Tasted like McDonald's fries to be honest but not as good and basically a medium for $8) lol - I got an IPA that was on tap but I have no clue what it was because my waiter didn't tell me because he had the personality of 14 whose parents didn't give him enough love and he moved to New Hope in hope of a better life My gf didn't order a drink because she was put off by the whole vibe of this place. Blah! There isn't much to say about this place except, NO! I won't be back for any reason! The end!

This place has such a nice view right on the river and very good service. The food was good and portions were decent. It is a bit pricey but worth it for the ambiance.

We arrived here when it opened at 1130 on the Labor Day holiday, despite not having a reservation we were lucky enough to get an outside table by the railing. It was a gorgeous day with beautiful views of the river. Food was awesome! We started with Hummus, and the mussels. The mussels were in a Thai curry broth which I could have eaten as soup alone it was so good! It had just amount of heat, seasoned perfectly! The hummus served with pita bread and was satisfying. We each had a lobster roll. It came in a toasted bun, the salad had crunchy onion and celery and radish garnish, we enjoyed it immensely. The house made chips were some of the best we ever had. Our server Karen was very nice, overall it was a beautiful day, and delicious meal. We will definitely return.

    Wild boar ribs

You can't beat dining outside along river on an absolutely beautiful fall evening. We both enjoyed the wild boar ribs, did not taste gamey at all. The cod and steak were good. Prices are reasonable. An oasis amidst the craziness in town!

Martines, such a nice spot in the beautiful town of New Hope. The deck outback sits right on the Delaware River with a great view of Lambertville and the ducks. We started our meal with the Mussels in a coconut milk Thai sauce. They were fabulous. Entrée was a delicious crab cake sandwich. Our server, Lex, was very attentive and helped us navigate the menu with great suggestions. Highly recommended!

We picked this restaurant bc it's on the river with a beautiful view. The menus looked good, not really somewhere to bring babies. No changing table and there is a sign that says no strollers, although they allowed us to fold it up and put it in a corner. The waitress Tonya was an outstanding women. We really liked her. The food was delicious, I was sad because they had sold out of the short ribs which I wanted badly. But me and my bro has the French chicken. My sisternlaw had the filet. Only thing that had no flavor was the Mac and cheese unfortunately but otherwise even the drinks were wonderful

I really enjoyed sitting on the water. It was such a nice day. The water was calm and the ducks were swimming by. Our server was kind and the appetizers were tasty. A little on the pricey side. $20 for 4 shrimp. But they were big! The bistro steak was a bavette cut which isn't my favorite but it was still flavorful. The fries could've used a little something, but my mom loved them so to each their own! I wish the creme brulee was brûléed a bit more but that might just be a me thing. Overall very good!

    Scallops (special)
    Julia B.

This scallops special tasted as good as it looked. The scallops were cooked perfectly (nice sear on the outside but still translucent in the middle), and the Mediterranean couscous/veggies underneath added great flavor. We also ordered the shishito peppers as a starter - perfect for sharing! The restaurant also has a decent wine list and a couple of award winning cocktails. My only complaint is that there is a huge atmosphere discrepancy between eating outside by the water vs inside on paper tablecloths. Even though you can request a table outside when you make a reservation, the restaurant doesn't honor that & keeps those tables as first come first serve - just a heads up! The local art around the walls inside helps the decor a bit, but the inside atmosphere needs some more attention to compare to how outside looked. Overall, the food is what stands out at this restaurant. Food: B+ Drinks: B Service: C Atmosphere: C

We opted for upstairs. The space felt like a classy naval officer's club. The cocktail menu contained mostly classics and riffs on classics. I opted for the Smoked Honey Negroni with Barr Hill gin, and a Boulevardier. Both were very good. The Boulevardier - interestingly, was served neat in a brandy snifter glass. Our group also tried the French 75 and Last Word (Mezcal style). Cocktails were $16-$17, well-constructed, and sturdy. Service was friendly and unrushed - the perfect format for a relaxing evening. Recommended by almost any local you ask, The Boat House sits in the quieter Lambertville side of the bridge that connect this Jersey town to the slightly more bustling New Hope, PA. Down an Edison-lighted alleyway you'll find this small house for boats and ya know, it probably was a house (not sure about for boats) because it's pretty dang small. The night we were there I noticed there's some outdoor tables available, but really the interior downstairs area only fits a handful of folks. The upstairs can hold a bit more and that is where our timing lies. Somehow, we must have been early/lucky enough to hit The Boat House on a Friday evening when everyone was still out to dinner because the very friendly host sat us upstairs where we had the entire place to ourselves for almost our entire time there. Having the space added such an extra vibe to everything, especially because those creaky steps lead up to what really gives The Boat House its name as the ceiling is covered in maritime memorabilia. The walls, book shelves, and eclectic array of tables and chairs also adds to this. People or not, it is a true unique spot. But what really makes the place so great (besides the looks and the friendly staff who never stopped checking in on us) are the drinks. To start, my wife wasn't feeling alcohol and got an Aper-No Spritz which did the trick, though for myself, I dove into the intriguing list of specialty drinks that makes this place worth visiting. Round one was the Rower's Reserve which lists as a Boat House original and is gin-based with Amaro Nonino, sage, and blackberries to create some fantastic flavors. Round two I had to go with a personal favorite (with a twist) in the smoked honey Negroni which tasted exactly as it sounded. There were a bunch of other libations that also sounded intriguing, but that'll have to be for a future visit. Overall, there's a reason people from the area always suggest The Boat House. It's a true old fashioned maritime cocktail bar that gives you all the feels you'd want from a place like this. Perhaps this review is a little tainted in timing, but hey, maybe that'll give you a little motivation to get here on the earlier side and checkout the upstairs area for yourself. No matter if there's people up there or not, it's a good time here. Cheers!
