I came here with one of my friends. It was on our coffee places to try while in Salem. This place did not disappoint! The whole vibe is amazing!! From walking inside and in awe of the wall art and the feel of the place. To the friendly baristas. It's not a huge indoor place, but they do have some seating off to the side and up near the front window. There's also some cute outdoor seating. Prices are about average places we go to where we are from $6-up depends on your order. I tried their seasonal pumpkin spice chai latte-oat milk with gluten free butterscotch syrup. Just the right notes and perfect for a brisk morning. My friend had their boo berry latte -oat milk. She said it reminded her of eating a blueberry pie!! Odd meter has so far in our top spots that we've had.

If you're in Salem, definitely stop by Odd Meter for coffee! The store is in a convenient location and has such a cute and cozy atmosphere. Everyone who works there is really nice and made our drinks really fast. We ordered a tea and flat white which were both great (and included beautiful coffee art!). They also have specialty coffee flavors and drinks. Can't wait to visit again when I'm back in Salem!

Odd meter is a nice place to grab a quick breakfast before exploring Salem. Their sense of style and decor, as well as their branded products (stickers, clothes, etc) are adorable. The food options are good but nothing too special--mostly standard muffins and bagels. The fall latte options were fun, including pumpkin and caramel apple. Service was quick, the drinks were awesome, but the food was just a bit underwhelming. Also, I'm pretty sure the plants they're keeping have a fruit fly infestation, because we sat right by the plant shelf and there were tiny fruit flies everywhere.

As far as local coffee shops go, this is a solid choice! The prices are fair, the coffee tastes great, the service friendly. I loved that there were different milk choices also. The coffee shop itself was easy to find, clean, and quaint.

Needed a coffee after a day of waiting around at the courthouse for jury duty. I asked Sally, the server if they had lavender syrup and they recommended I get an iced Live Lav Love Latte which is made with half lavender syrup and half vanilla syrup. So glad he recommended this combo because it was so tasty!! The vanilla balanced the lavender and made it taste creamy and subtly lavenderish. Brought home a butterscotch cookie, a mojito scone and a Kouign-Amann. My husband and I gobbled them up later that night and they were quite tasty! The cookie tasted exactly like one I had at A&J earlier in the day so wondering if they share the same baker. Cute little cafe inside!

Came in on my day of cafe hopping around Salem for matcha, and {spoilers} they were all about the same. Which to my palette, as someone who loves matcha and regularly gets it in Bay Area CA, was around a 5/10. That said, I ordered their special iced Strawberry Matcha, which had a light flavor and was overall refreshing. Pros: - lovely and knowledgeable staff - fairly fast service - cute atmosphere with some seating and plants! Also loved the mural art - all their plastic packaging is compostable! We took a group trip to Salem post the Halloween madness. Best decision I've made in a long time. I get to extend my favorite holiday! My friends are sleepy so I dragged my boyfriend on a spooky morning walk. The town is also sleepy. But we were in luck that Odd Meter had its doors open and ready for our arrival. I will warn you that their capacity is 20 peeps in here. And now that I've tried the goods, I recommend prioritizing your arrival. There was a ton of specialty drinks to pick from with catchy names. We've been having all things pumpkin. I suggested to my boyfriend to change things up. He picked the "Boo-Berry Latte and I did "the Witch's Wand Latte" ! The blueberry was insane! It literally tasted like they smushed some berries and threw them in the coffee sans pulp! I was mind blown. My coffee was as they said, reminiscent of a molasses cookie! The coffee shop had some cute sitting options, a bathroom, some treats and a modern look! I wish they had the witchy tote bags! Loved the design! And the overall design and graphic design for the hot and cold coffee cups is also on point! I will always make sure to stop here whenever I'm in town! And I will dream about the Boo-Berry!

Came in during a morning weekday and the service was fast and friendly. I tried the maple hot latte with oat milk and it was absolutely delicious. Still thinking about it weeks later... The only miss is that I got a raspberry pinwheel that was a bit hard and room temperature, even for it being early. I ended up not eating most of it. I believe they get their pastries from A&J, so maybe not being baked onsite diminished it a bit. Definitely will return, though.

Cozy coffee shop with plenty of seating. The drink menu was extensive and included seasonal drinks. I ordered a speciality matcha, which was described as having a pretty color when poured out. needed a boost of caffeine mid day and decided to try odd meter bc all i saw were people to their cups. to be honest we came about 20 min before close and the staff was amazing. rhwy did have to close and turn some people away but they were so polite about it and took care of everyone that they let finish the day. efficient, friendly and solid coffee to boot! sales caramel apple pie latte was amazing (with oat milk ) go here vs the other spots genuinely good vibe

Yea was good, they were out of the other one we wanted to try, but that was okay. There is some inside seating. They have sweets, and grab and go's along with their drinks. I got a speciality iced tea, it was good. Person taking our order was nice & even made us a quick simple syrup! Side note. They have a bathroom that you can use, but as always, you should support them by buying something.

Odd Meter is casual, the staff is friendly and the coffee is extremely popular. Their baked goods are overpriced for what you get. My ham and cheese croissant was served cold (not room temp) and had half a slice of ham. The croissant (bread) itself was excellent though.

This was the first coffee place we passed by after taking the train to get to Salem. The line was long but it moves very fast as the workers are super efficient. Their menu has a wide variety of a lot of cool specialty lattes. I got the Iced Witch's Wand Latte with oat milk which is a hazelnut latte and it was delicious! I'm from California and Massachusetts has really impressed me with the quality of their coffee/espresso so far, and Odd Meter is one of my favorites from this trip so far! The price was a bit steep, $8 for a cup of coffee but when the quality is high and the taste is great, then I don't really have any complaints as I would still definitely buy it again. read more

Salem in October and rainy day calls for a visit to Odd Meter! Cute little coffee spot with deliciously crafted drinks! I enjoyed my latte and my husband who is not a coffee fan had an apple cider! Our drinks were perfect for a cold day! The staff are nice and friendly, we went at the last hour before the closed and they were still welcoming us and others who were trying to make it in before closing. Granted we were there on Halloween, so I'm sure the baristas are overworked and tired of our shit, but the line moved quickly and my coffee was tasty. Nothing super special but it was better than Dunkin, that's for sure. read more

I stopped at Odd Meter on my way home from running errands in Salem and was intrigued by the unique drinks, cute decor, etc. I actually learned about them on TikTok! Pros: extremely friendly workers, cool/unique drinks Cons: street parking, very small inside, expensive I'm really torn between 3-4 stars, but ultimately am settling on 3 due to the price. It was just under $8 for a small latte, and it was yummy, but not amazing (I got the saffron latte). I somewhat understand the price since they have all these cool flavors, but the add-on costs are over $1 for each thing (substitutions, plant milk, syrups). I would really like to come back to try their seasonal cardamom latte next time they have it, but it'll have to be a special treat due to the cost. read more

Cute little coffee shop in Salem. Very LGBTQ+ friendly. I love the mural they have inside the store. Also the branding is top notch. Staff was super nice. I got a London Fog to go. It was delicious. Nice and hot but not scalding. Pastries looked delicious but I didn't try any. All of the coffee drinks sounded so good especially the seasonal ones. You must go here! The drinks we got were too amazing. I love how it's not too sweet, because a lot of places tend to over sweeten things. These are October specials, so I'm not sure if this review be applicable to everyone. The Oh My Gourd was like a gingerbread in a cup. And the Pumpkin Pie Latte was so much better than Starbucks. The ratio of expresso to the pumpkin spice was perfectly balanced. I highly recommend getting it with oat milk for that extra creaminess Only thing was I wish the ice cubes were a little bit smaller, but that's just me being nitpicky. read more

Fabulous vanilla late and a really great cinnamon roll. I think it was made with croissant dough. My friends really liked their egg and bacon sandwiches too. This place is two blocks from the cemetery too. read more

This is a neat little place we walked by when headed to get breakfast. The staff are extremely nice. They provide friendly service and the coffee tastes good. They have a menu out right now for October tourists (like myself) so I got one of those speciality coffees called the witches wand latte. Worth a visit! read more

Absolutely love little café! Please keep in mind that it's may be extremely busy, but what is isn't busy in Salem? I tried the boo berry iced latte with oat milk, which makes the drink vegan and their wheat spice, vegan muffin. Honestly, this was probably one of the best coffees. I got the witches wand iced coffee, the right balance of sweet and nutty. My friend got the cold brew, it was nice and strong. The chocolate croissant was very good and the kouign amann was so delicious!! Though the building is small the service was very good and they worked quickly so it wasn't a long wait even though there was a line. The ambiance was vibrant, accepting, and high energy. A town as cozy and cute as Salem, you'd expect to find a flagship welcoming cafe. Odd Meter is brightly lit, colorful, cheery and with seasonal menus to boot. The drinks do not disappoint, carefully made with an expensive-looking espresso apparatus and talented-looking and actually talented baristas. I could sit here all day, get some work done and overdose on caffeine. It doesn't hurt that it's about a 10 min walk from the T transit. read more

A cute, cozy coffee shop located in Salem! My boyfriend and I came here around 2:30 pm on a Wednesday after visiting the Salem Witch Museum down the street. He ordered a large Sinful Cinnamon $6.25 and I ordered a small soy latte. My boyfriend really enjoyed the Sinful Cinnamon (per their Winter menu - "sweet vanilla, warming cinnamon, spicy cayenne"). I gave it a sip and it was super yummy! My soy latte wasn't anything special so that's why I minus one point -1... I am a bit of a soy latte snob, unfortunately. The latte was still good, it's just that it tasted like a soy latte I could make at home. The staff was super friendly, and I love the LGBTQ+ representation positivity. If you are in the area and are craving coffee, this cute cafe will do it! Odd Meter Coffee just opened in Salem, and the shop is still pretty bare-bones. However, the employees are welcoming and the space itself is bright and cheery. I ordered a chai tea latte with oat milk ($5.50). Based on the menu, oat milk appears to be the only non-dairy milk option available. Oat milk is, in my opinion, the best plant milk there is so I'm definitely not complaining. The chai latte itself was pleasantly mild - I'd order it again. Needed a quick pick me up as I started my morning visiting Salem and found this cute coffee shop coming from the commuter rail! Not only does it have a fun vibe and cup sleeve logo to it, but it's one of the first and only places in MA that I've found so far that has fairly decent chai! I got a hot pumpkin spice chai latte and it was a solid 4/5! It wasn't watery at all and wasn't super sweet, but had just enough pumpkiny taste that wasn't too overpowering that it detracted from the chai flavor! The only thing is that they don't fill to the top and when I got the drink it was fairly lukewarm but other than that delish! read more

The staff was wonderful! The coffees were excellent (the butternut pumpkin spice latte with oat milk was so warm and comforting, amazing depth of flavor and not overly sweet! the best "PSL" this reviewer has ever had; the Witch's Wand latte was also incredible!) and the vibe was warm and inviting, but also very clean and professional. Saw this place pop up on my TikTok recommended tries. And I'm glad we made the stop. The Boo-Berry Latte instantly set the me in the mood ready to explore the oddities of Salem in our semi fall outing. The service was prompt given the crowd. This is definitely a hidden gem. Staff was very friendly and patience. We sat and watch them making coffees while enjoying ours, they do use high quality coffee beans and milk. We even bought a bag of whole beans home to make espresso. The bag is only $.50 more than what is currently sold if you buy them on line, which is very reasonable. I highly recommend this coffee shop. read more

Such good coffee and the CUTEST cups. I was worried the cups are overcompensation for bad coffee (i'm traumatized from coffee back in LA) but I was so wrong. The cup is a bonus to the coffee. We got the oasis, sunny day, and summersault and they were all perfect. The workers were also all so sweet and so welcoming. read more

In a world filled with warm cozy cafes with mediocre to bad coffee... be an Odd Meter. These folks do it right. Every time. While their fun seasonal drinks are definitely worth a trip in and of themselves, it's their day to day coffee that deserves the most credit. They take the extra time, the extra care, that a really quality coffee requires. And the results speak for themselves. The Northshore is a bit of a desert for quality coffee and Odd Meter is a gem in all of that. Add in a friendly staff that cares about the quality of their product and you've got a 5-star easily. read more

I went with one of the specials, the espresso tonic after asking the barista about it. Sounded better than it ended up tasting. Was nearly inedible but I needed caffeine so I drank it anyway. I asked to use their bathroom but apparently they didn't have a public one and sent me to the visitor center down the street. Great outdoor seating available on the street for people watching. read more

My first drink from Odd Meter wasn't the best. It could be me, I only drink iced coffee drinks and don't have the most refi. I just stopped by again after receiving an email from Eric ( one of the owners) asking if I would consider trying Odd Meter again. I am very happy I visited Odd Meter a second time, I tried their iced maple oat latte, it was outstanding. Their cups can be recycled and they don't use plastic lids or straws ! They are a great addition to the Downtown Salem area. read more
