TLDR: Good Fruit Tea Yeah this is in a Thai Restaurant. A little awkward going in. But the ladies there are used to it. The tea place is open all day, the restaurant is not. I ordered the refreshing tea, which is basically dragon fruit tea. They use real fruit in there, as I can tell by the seeds I had to spit out. I know the seeds are edible, but still... I don't like crunchy tea :P There wasn't a very strong tea flavor, but at least it didn't taste like water. My wife ordered her usual. Black Milk tea. She liked it as well. Quick service, friendly staff, and the perfect dessert after a Thai lotus lunch special. Upon entering the restaurant, there is a large display where you can order drinks to go or you can order during your lunch in their dining room. I am slowly making my way through the Oddcha menu and have yet to be disappointed. Lots of fun flavors to choose from, including matcha cheese and salted cheese toppers. A must stop for me in Reno! The milk tea bar is in the same building as the Thai Lotus. The milk bar is located in front of the restaurant. It is easily accessible. The staff is always so nice! Wow what a treat! First time trying Oddcha and I was impressed with the variety on their menu and quality of the drinks. Located within Thai Lotus (which is also delicious!) I deliberated between their centennial matcha or fancy matcha, and I went with the Fancy Matcha - Mango (with Ice). I asked for my drink to be on the less-sweet side as I am not a fan of overly sugary/syrupy drinks. My drink was ready quickly, and was so delicious! The matcha was distinct and strong with the real fruit fresh mango at the bottom. Such a perfect combination! The cups are also of high quality and you don't have to worry about it being flimsy or unstable. The restaurant was busy but service for drinks went smoothly. I was familiar with Thai Lotus but didn't know about their new boba shop! Checked out their menu ahead of time and it decided to try the DHL- Dragon Fruit Honey Lavender drink. I did good! Love the flavors--the honey is perfectly sweet and a light taste for the lavender. Love the honeycomb topping! A cold, refreshing drink. Got the Twilight Taro drink and asked for it with less sugar and substituted with oat milk instead of regular milk. After stirring it up a bit and scraping the taro paste off the sides of the cup this drink was really yummy. Definitely must scrape and stir this one otherwise all you get is the plain milk and a bunch of boba balls from the bottom. My sis and I were excited to try a new boba spot in town! This boba spot is located in Thai Lotus. There's a waiting area for the drinks but it looks like the rest of the seating is for dining in at the restaurant. Once you walk into Thai Lotus the boba stand is straight ahead. They have tv displays with their drink specials and their menu in the front. We were helped right away and the cashier was very welcoming. Easily this was one of the most delightful refreshing drinks I've ever tasted. Chunks of coconut, great coconut flavor and the right consistency. It was a perfect way to end the meal. While I didn't get the Boba, my friends did and commented that it was fresh and tasted great. "The Boba had a great bite and chew to it." The only recommendation or suggestion I would have is to have additional levels of sweetness that you could pick from for example, 25% 50%, 75% versus 100%. I've tried Twilight Taro, Match Gold and Jasmine with Salted cheese topping. All three are great options with Jasmine and Taro standing out. I also added Crystal Taro to the Matcha and TT. I was excited to see another boba chain coming to Reno and rushed to check this one out! The shop is located inside Thai Lotus- and took over the host stand and take-out window they had prior. It is a bit of a tight squeeze considering it doubles as the restaurant check in as well, but they accounted for that by adding benches and additional seating to the side. My partner and I ordered 3 drinks to share- although one of the drinks we received was incorrect. A simple mistake- we ordered a wintermelon milk tea and received a plain wintermelon tea instead. We did not ask for a remake since the wait time for our drinks was a little over 10 minutes. As for the matcha with ube, I was pleasantly surprised! I was worried it would be too sweet and wanted to try it without any alterations- so I ordered a Thai tea as a backup just in case. (which wasn't needed because the level of sweetness was actually good) The cups/lids were thick and sturdy. I especially love the straw detail added to the lid where you are able to open and close the straw hole to either save for later or transport. One con that we encountered was operation times. The restaurant closes for an hour midday to give their workers a break. (As they should! Love that they prioritize a break for their employees) I just personally forgot about that detail and went off the hours for Oddcha online before I knew it was connected to the restaurant- so when we arrived they were actually closed. Overall, the drinks at default are not overly sweet and the boba was soft and chewy. Will definitely return! A new place deserving some local love. Here's what you need to know before you go. It's not a stand alone establishment like Num Num or 12Tea. It's located inside the Thai Lotus restaurant. Basically a boba, milk tea, fruit tea business inside a business. The Pros - the drinks are unique in comparison to other standard boba fare in Reno with fun flavors such as mango sticky rice smoothie, Thai twister, Coco Bomb, twilight taro, unicorn cotton candy with cotton candy topper, and Oreo brûlée milk tea. A Fun menu! The drinks are tasty and served in fun cups. A little pricier with add ins such as salted cheese cream, brûlée and strawberry cream and lychee and boba, but worth it (an extra $1.50) All in all, delicious options and drinks that the whole family will love. The service was similar to the service I've received there at the restaurant, very friendly with smiles and always nice. Now, The Cons - because of its location inside a restaurant, there's a chance it could be crowded with a line as the use of space is not optimized. Not many places to sit and wait. It falls short on the ambience of a true milk tea and boba shop because it's located inside another business. And there's no seating to hang out, drink your drink and talk, unless you're going to eat at the restaurant. So expect to buy a drink for on-the-go. Otherwise, it's a new experience with friendly staff and new drink concepts that remind me of the type of drinks offered in some of the San Francisco milk tea shops that I enjoy. This is one of my favorite Thai restaurants, and it's exclusively a small part of it that does the Boba drinks. I think the quality of the tea here is actually one of the best in Reno. Even the Boba is very good. However, my problem with this place is that I would say 50% of the time to get something about my drink wrong whether they make it too sweet or are they forget Boba or something like that?
