Food is always fantastic. They are very customer service focused. I had my latte made incorrectly (wrong milk) and they quickly fixed it and it was perfect. RECOMMEND ALWAYS reserving or getting on a waitlist to avoid their long waits. read more

Went there on a Saturday, my Birthday. Wait was approx 90 min, so we walked through the mall. Received notification our table was ready so we went back to the restaurant. It is very loud. Music is loud and hard to hear the servers. It would have been nice if they told us at the beginning what they were out of, so we didn't decide on those items and then need to choose something else. The servers were really busy, constantly running back and forth. I did notice a couple of people, I believe to be managers, who were "appearing busy" and on their phone a lot. My daughter's burger was pretty heavily sauced, so the bun fell apart, but the tuna was delicious. She even said that the waffle fries were the best she's ever had. My benny was very crab forward. I can't recall exactly what they put it on, but it was too soft and fell apart. The eggs were poached perfectly and the flavour of the hollandaise was lovely, but I could have used just a smidge more. My potatoes, let me tell you. I am trying to avoid fried food, so this was the best option for me. They had lots of dill on it and the flavour was awesome! I The biggest issue was after the meal. The server has several tables that were done at the same time. I could tell that she was trying to make it over to our table, but other tables kept grabbing her. Either to grab to go boxes, bills or machine for payment. We had made eye contact serveral times and she has mouthed to me that she was sorry. I was surprised that the managers weren't pitching in with grabbing bills or payment machines etc to lighten their load. My daughter couldn't wait in there any longer and left. After I was able to pay and leave, I was followed by one of the managers. Hee asked me why I seemed to be disappointed with my experience. I told him about how I felt about their lack of help to the servers and he went of about how they are a team and they need to ask for help. If the server is too busy, they don't have a chance to do that because they are trying to give their customer the best experience. I also mentioned that it is very loud in the restaurant and he said they turn up the music to drown out the conversations. And that the construction of the building made it so sound carries. I had been to the Burnaby location serveral times for pick up. They seem to be team players. I found it really odd for someone to follow me to my vehicle. And instead of apologizing for the experience, I got excuses. I was offered a card for a free meal, but I'd rather not return and feel like that gentleman's behaviour is acceptable. I was uncomfortable and felt cornered. Please be prepared for along wait. The restaurant is loud. It may take a while for your bill. The food is delicious, but I honestly don't think it's worth it. Take a look at Roadrunner or another local place. read more

We had a great Saturday brunch on the patio. The manager greeted us by opening the door and we were seated promptly. The staff were all smiles. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. The food was exceptional with balanced flavors, gorgeous presentation and arrived quickly. The poutine was delicious and the pork was so tender. The crostini lived up to its name and was a full on sandwich with perfectly cooked eggs. The truffles and micro greens put it over the top and I'll definitely be ordering it again. This is definitely the last time we try OEB. Ordered the "threesome" and asked for eggs over medium. They came runny as hell which is fine as long as you can sop them up with bread or potatoes, of which this particular dish has none. Instead, I regrettably chose the waffles which were dryer than a rice cake and reminded me of the kind of tasteless waffles that are self-poured from a bucket of batter at a Super 8 motel. For a restaurant obsessed with rich servings of meat and gravy they sure did skimp on adding any butter or milk to their waffles recipe. The chicken blueberry bangers were rubbery and kind of gross, tbh. The server stopped by to check in but didn't bring my friend coffee or any water for the table. Our previous visit to the Burnaby location was mediocre and this last visit to the Langley location was an expensive "goodbye forever." We won't be returning. read more

Went back because work was paying. Our server was aloof. Error placing our order (wrong food arrived for 1 guest so they had to wait while the rest of us ate). The bacon was like beef jerky. Burnt, dry, chewy AF...when I mentioned it, the server said to "take it home and air fry it, it might get better". Seriously? And when I mistakenly ruined my americano because the cream pitcher glugged way too much cream as the lid wasn't on correctly, the server stared at me blankly like, "so what?". I then ordered a shot of espresso to try and fix it because she wouldn't bring me a new coffee! I can't make this stuff up! read more

The only downside of this location is that sound tends to bounce around a lot of the concrete floor and other hard surfaces creating a very noisy environment. On our last visit, the couple my wife and I invited to breakfast had a hard time hearing us when we were sitting at the same table. It's not that great. We ordered the meat-less poutine and crêpe. The poutine was pretty much a breakfast bowl considering the cheese curds were still curds when I received it, needless to say the potatoes were cold so the cheese didn't even melt and the entire thing was salty.
