Next available was a few weeks out which I took. I was out of town and left instructions with my oldest daughter. The lady was on time and friendly. Took about 45 minutes and was charge $125. When I got home the next day I was disappointed . Looked like he just had his bangs cut(uneven) , paws cleaned up and backside trimmed. Plus she trimmed the middle of his eyes and it looks like to close to the skin. Looks ugly now. Definitely not $125 worth. I texted her to ask if she can correct it and a few days later her response was for me to take him to a shop. Very disappointing and such a waste of money. Very poor business practices. I wanted to share our joy with having Alycia taking care of our FOUR dogs. She has been grooming our babies since April of 2021 and every time we have had a wonderful experience. Alycia is highly sought after and I appreciate that she is focused on grooming the dogs and providing them with a wonderful experience rather than dropping what she's doing to answer a text. When we first reached out, it did take a few days for a reply and a few weeks to book because her services were in high demand and we were in the middle of a pandemic. HOWEVER, since booking our first appt, she has always been responsive and accommodating with our schedule. Our babies always look super cute after their appts, their nails are trimmed nicely and they smell so good! We have not had any problems or unpleasant experiences in the two years we have been with her and we have four dogs. In our experience, we have paid the same or more to take our dogs to a salon where they put them in kennels while they work on two or three other dogs. Being that our dogs are rescues we hate that grooming salons do this. Alycia is simply the BEST dog groomer and we are super happy with her services. We have a stubborn, sensitive corgi who just does not like to be held down, or have his paws touched. While our last groomer would shame us for his behavior - which is incredibly common among his breed, mind you, Alycia has the patience and the experience to properly handle him and he comes out looking absolutely fabulous every time. If you are a dog owner in the East Bay, you've got to give Alycia a call! She is super professional and extremely responsive. This is my second time using her and I have to say we probably won't be taking our Labradoodle to another groomer again! Our dog is very high anxiety--as in he barks incessantly when he's nervous. I could tell immediately by how Alycia responded to him that she is really good with dogs and genuinely loves animals. She is always very prompt about responding to messages and usually has an appointment within two weeks of when I reach out to her. Although her prices are a little higher than most groomers, you have to account for the fact that she comes to your house. I would also say that based on the quality of work that she does, she's worth every penny. We've had some pretty bad hack jobs on our doodle but he is always cut to perfection when she drops him off. Plus if your dog is usually a nervous mess at the groomers, know that they will be in good hands with Alycia. She does hair cuts, wash, expresses anal glands, plucks ear hair, trims nails--she does it all! It usually takes other groomers closer to two hours to groom our doodle but she's always done in about 75min. Something to know in advance though is that she has a huge mobile grooming van that will need a place to park. If you don't have a huge driveway or any street parking (enough to fit two cars), you'll need to think of a place close by that she can drive to like the parking lot of a grocery store nearby. She's great about figuring things out though so just tell her in advance before she arrives if you don't live some place with ample parking. She's very considerate and will not double park in order to do the job. read more
