Max and Mr. Brown practicing the extended down position.

Listen, I'm not sure where to start because there's so much I want to cover regarding OLK9's Day Camp Program. First things first, Craig [Martin] is a Rockstar trainer. Period. Our very first interaction was great...his energy was wonderful...he did not disappoint! He was very methodical with his approach...explaining every step of the process...very engaging...constant updates of the Boyz progress...videos, photos...wait! The photos that I received were Ahhhhhhh-mazing, I mean impressive...only to learn that he's a photographer as well...but I digress. The Boyz are spoiled and I have no shame in stating this...*smile*. But they needed to learn manners. I have two large and very strong Standard Poodles - Mr. Brown and Max. They're extremely smart, pretty obedient in the house, but a huge challenge on walks...my poor dog walker. I wanted to be able to take them anywhere without the extended conversations of sit, stay, what are you doing? you know better... etc. At any rate, I'd been following OLK9 Maryland for some time online. I knew that training for two dogs was going to be a budget buster. Thankfully, I was able to take advantage of the "Black Friday" or "Cyber Monday" (can't remember which one it was). I cannot say enough about the great experience I had...the Boyz were happy to see Craig each day which was a HUGE relief for me. Yes, additional work/training on my part is required...to me that's a no brainer. As a responsible pet owner, I want to make sure that there is consistency and an expectation that my Boyz are well behaved and well mannered. Which means I have to do the work. Funny, as I was driving home from our final session, I was so tempted to take them on a short walk because I knew it would be enjoyable. But decided to wait until morning... I'm so excited to be able to have an enjoyable walk with these guys... less scolding and more bonding. Well worth the time and financial commitment. Thank you OLK9 Maryland for bringing additional joy to our home... things are definitely more "manageable". I'm really looking forward to our walks, especially since there will be NO more pulling! Can't wait to be able to take them to the "brick and mortar" with me once it's open! "Life Changing K9 Training"

So glad my pup , Layla, is being trained here, she is getting all the individualized training, outdoor experiences, and attention. I love the daily videos and pics of her actually listening and learning. We can't wait to see her with her new set of manners. Thanks again. Leslie

We've only had two classes (of the four we have scheduled) but Lola (6 months old) is already showing great progress. We couldn't have done it without "Coach Craig".

I've been here twice. The first time I came it was super fun because my dog was only about 4 months or 5 months old. The second time she was a little older and unfortunately this is her last time that she can go. If you have a small dogs 6 months or younger I definitely recommend to take your dog here it's definitely worth the $10. I've only done Puppy Playtime I've never done any of the training. I've been training my own dog since I got her.

I have had two experiences with this place - one GREAT and one TERRIBLE. So unfortunately I'm split. Giving 3 stars though as my bad experience was really related to one employee. She cut every session short by 10-15 mins, then treated me extremely rudely when I showed up at the wrong appointment time (yes, I understand their no-show no-refund policy and I was not contesting that, just confused as to how I had the wrong appointment time and why she wasn't even willing to talk to me since I was late). The lessons were expensive, and ultimately was regretful I signed my second dog up for lessons through her :( However the first trainer (the owner I believe) was amazing and did a fabulous job with my first puppy (hence the reason I signed up the first dog)!! She was great and took time to make sure the dog understood the command before working with me to make sure I knew how to reinforce the training at home through the week. Short recommendation - it's expensive, but well worth it if you get a good trainer. I was 50/50 and have told friends to try a location other than Jessup.

I took a very dominant, high strung dog to the 2 week board and train. They returned to me a very calm centered dog. Thank you Tabrina

Easy to follow training, even for my very stubborn hound. Only requires 30 min of consistent training per day. Love the staff.

In the past, they've only used our leash to bring them back and forth to the front and not during grooming. However, today they decided to use our leash during the grooming process and he bit through it. I then verified that my warning about the leash was never communicated to the staff. The owner was then called and they stated, "nothing can be done." One of the employees could tell I was frustrated and then offered one of their grooming leashes which is for a small dog and would not be appropriate for our 90 pound GSD. I just thought it was interesting that "nothing could be done" for a customer that has been going there for years and has used both their boarding and grooming services without any prior issues, has referred plenty of customers to their business, and made sure to warn them prior to the appointment but the staff failed to pass the message along.

The sitters vary but all are enthusiastic based on the reports they leave. After every visit the sitter leaves a note of when they came and left and what they did. They also usually text us an update and a picture of our birds. We come back to a stack of reports. The sitter stays a while after the food, water, and paper are changed to make sure the birds aren't acting weird, and I hear that some singing goes on. We've never had a problem and have be accommodated at very short notice when we want to go away for the weekend. I highly recommend this company. 1/27/20 Update: Just used them again during a ten day trip to Hawaii. I'm pretty sure our birds are in love with Alex, who came for most oF the visits. Now they are just stuck with us. As always, a great experience and we love being able to travel without any worries.

The pet sitter who was assigned was Kim. She spent plenty of time with the cats and made sure they were well cared for while I was away. The visit reports they leave are really cute as well. Could not have gone smoother! I'd also like to add that they were available with very short notice (3 other pet sitting companies were unable to handle our request). Also want to add that Stewart (when he came for the home visit) was wearing a mask and gloves to protect against COVID (a welcome sight). Pet owners would should have their minds at ease if they select Love Those Paws. If I go on vacation again (few and far between these days) I would definitely use them again!

I think they are a little pricy but with everything else going up. Hank is well worth it. I am sure it's not a cheap business to be running so my doggie treats go out to you Tecla I do like the fact they offer grooming as well as there nice long hours. The business has grown since I started several years ago and I would like to take a tour on the expansion or see their growing pains in a good way. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because in the mornings they need more than once person checking in the customers and their dogs esp. When someone is dropping their pet off for overnight. They fill out the form ask questions etc... they really need one door for day care And the other door for over night stays and have another person working in the mornings. It's not even fair to the person working muscles the dogs and parents. I hear many adults complain about the slow drop understaffed situation in the mornings. Either way I know Hank is in a fun safe place. Thank you all at Tecla's esp since I know how hard you all work taking care of our fur family.

Prior to today, I gathered all of the details for today's visit. The young lady stated the temperament testing was free, (I learned this was not true once I got there and signed my pup up for the day). (I knew I should have gotten my dog and left then but I didn't). (SECOND NEGATIVE) At the conclusion of the testing, they are suppose to provide a physical report card of how well your pup did. Fast forward to the pickup. When they brought my pup out, he did not look like how I dropped him off (I'm not complaining about this because he was playing with other dogs.) BUT, he smelled like the other dogs ganged up on him and dumped urine all over him. Ohhh goodness, he was a stinky mess. I did not inquire about this, which I should have. (THIRD NEGATIVE). When I asked for the report card, the young lady goes, "oh I'm sorry, he doesn't have one because there were a lot of dogs today." REALLY?!? But you took my money with no problem. (FOURTH NEGATIVE) The moral to this story, there are too many negatives for the initial consultation so I will pass.
