I'd say it's best to visit as part of a group. The experience is especially great for kids. The decor is homey, cozy and involves lots of rugs, so if you have allergies, I recommend bringing your allergy meds. The place is really interactive - little dogs in sweaters greeting you as you drive in, pigs available for pets, chickens you can feed, and of course the horses and goats you can visit. The beds were comfy enough, and each room has a different theme (horses, under the sea, etc). It's a quick drive into town, but also great for outdoor activities. We did a bit of bike riding but it was a bit too cold for us to venture onto the water.

Animals are well taken care of, some of them were rescued. They have chickens, rooster, ducks, 2 pigs, dogs, goats, pony and horses. It was amazing and therapeutic at the same time. Children enjoyed horseback riding. This was truly one of the kind experience, and we can't wait to go back in summer. I highly recommend it!

I called Baymont and spoke to a gal that suggested that the discrepancy was due to taxes. She suggested that I call hotels.com so that's what I did. Per Hotels.com, they secure special ratings for their customers and I should have received the exact rate that I was quoted by them in my confirmation. Hotels.com CS placed me on hold while she called the Baymont to request that they refund me the $12 overcharged, they refused. I've booked plenty of rooms through Hotels.com and have never had any billing discrepancies until now. I can say with absolute certainty that we will not be staying at the Baymont again.

Just a quick trick though if you book through Expedia which is a bit cheaper you would be put in a different level or you can't request the level you want like I prefer no stairs and they weren't able to accommodate that they wanted me to cancel the Expedia booking and book through their website so they can accommodate my request. Which really sucks. The activities were fun we weren't able to do the mini golf but the package we had was the Alpine Slide and the zipline both of which were awesome. They do have a lot more activities they do have like a what boat tour Segway tour they do have biking as well. I definitely made a good decision of going Saturday night and staying until Monday the rides the zipline in the Alpine Slide specifically had a really long line after 12:00 and it's at least a 2-hour wait for each. That was just the beginning of the unprofessionalism. No apology, just short. The last time we had stayed in the Froggy cabin, it was not split into two cabins. Not knowing this, I just rented the one side. We had to walk through the bedroom to get to the one bathroom, day and night. We would not have rented the cabin if we knew it had one bathroom, especially since one guest is pregnant. When I called about it, I couldn't believe the non professional handling of the situation. I was told they cabin had always been that way and I was wrong. Not true! They split it the winter after we had stayed in 2021. Things would have turned out so differently if it had been handled professionally instead of confrontational. The adjacent cabin was not being rented for the next two nights and could have been offered to us at a discounted rate, but they were willing to not make any money on the empty side, plus disappoint us. We made it work with what we had and then on our last night, the adjacent cabin was rented. They must have had control of the thermostat (who would split cabins and have one thermostat?!) The bedroom and upstairs loft were so hot and stuffy! Two infants, as well as the parents, did not sleep well that night! You could hear their voices and cooking at 12:30, which they have the right to do, but we have the right not to hear it. I tried to work something out with the owner, but to no avail. I did receive a call asking me to accept an apology from the person I spoke with on the phone. (She manages to get one more confrontation in on this call!) My daughter in law's family spent thousands of dollars between the cabins and Mont Rest, but not again. So sad something could not have been worked out.

They are amazingly patient, understanding of safety and kids' needs when around animals, and overall it is such a relaxing and fun atmosphere. Wraingler Roger even helped our 4 year old tap into her imagination to help their unicorn fly! Our 2 year old was too little to ride, but didn't mind one bit. She loved just sitting on the unicorn and running around with the dogs, goats, chickens, rooster, pigs, etc. A personable experience and we will be back again!

If you turned around you would hit the water handle. We stayed in the turret and the bathroom is on the first floor which is inconvenient. We did get massages that were very nice but the smell in the room was awful. There are sheer blinds on all the windows. I would suggest adding black out drapes.
