I have only gone here twice and today was the second time. While check-in and their selection is amazing, this male staff member made me feel really uncomfortable. He followed me around the store maybe 2-3 inches away from me and constantly hitting on me and anytime he would hand me something would purposefully try to touch me. I've been coming to Vista location for 3 years I was always bragging about this place and letting friends and family know about it. I enjoyed their delivery when it was around and most of all their selections and customer service. Lately Ive been going mornings. Security is always helpful in pulling my card out of atm for me cause I have long nails. Very polite man. Just like the other guards. Today tho was a bit different. I was getting to pay and I reminded cashier that I'm a return patient ,so he can give me my discount and he kept asking me for a coupon. I was confused, I've been told to tell cashier every time for a discount. If you don't tell them they won't grant it. So it's how I've been doing it, of course when I remember. Anywho, I was getting frustrated as he kept asking and an employee interfered and told me on a higher and firm voice ma'am if you have a coupon we can give you a discount I asked her where do you send your coupons cause I no longer get the sale tex and I've never seen coupons. She said on weedmaps, uhm why would I go to weedmaps page if I'm coming directly to facility. I asked for the coupons again but she was more worried about telling me that shes the one who creates and is In charge of coupons and that there is a code on the bottom of them. Me and a friend went here as we saw the billboard off the 78 and thought what a great deal we'd give it a try. The bud tender I got didn't seem to know much about tuepenes or THC/CBN/CBD etc. I'd ask questions and she looked like a deer in the head lights. When I went to purchase and said "I saw the billboard" and showed them a photo of it as well... they were like "we'll have to call a manager, the manager came and was like "it's a max of $50 discount". With so many rules, regulations etc... all of the dispensaries in San Diego county, seem to be at the same. Same type of atmosphere, same type of people, same pricing.. I could go on .. enter Off the Charts! In my 40+ visits to off the charts, it is always clear that the management, and especially the head manager (she has dark curly hair That's long, is extremely friendly and personable and most importantly is the most educated person I've spoken to but has the humility to wait for you to ask. Throughout time it seems the knowledge and passion is some thing that spread throughout the staff. Even in the new hires, it's an aura that is in the air.. the people who work here know exactly what they are talking about because they are passionate about what they do. I believe that is the strength of their business and what sets them apart. As with every dispensary, you might run into an employee who you've been smoking longer than they've been alive.. they seem like stoners themselves, but I just really there for the great job. . However, they're hiring process seems to read those types out as best as possible and almost every employee I've dealt with was like dealing with an old time dealer friend from back in the day, before it became legal. Pricing- again, off the charts comes with the gold standard as far as their pricing goes. And one example, Big Tree is a brand of greens that is very popular. They are known for high THC count with a low price tag. (Check those cannabinoids folks! One percent or 2% cannabinoids makes for a very average smoke, no matter how much THC they put in there) big tree is typically sold at $40 pretax at 80% of the dispensaries that I found carrying it; OTC has it for $30. Have a good one. Cheaper pricing can be found throughout the entire store and it is absolutely not comparable to any other dispensary.. OTC will be the cheapest. I believe this is the reason that their reward system takes a long time to build up any real money.. the trade off is worth it in the instant savings.. Lastly, people who are long-term and educated marijuana smokers, sometimes brush over knowledge thrown at them by workers at the dispensaries .. they are often young, and have only the basics and knowledge.. usually boring or wasting our time instead of educating us. Off the charts has a society within their work environment that breeds knowledge and education on deep levels.. there have definitely been things I have learned by listening or hearing with the bud tender had to say.. a lot of times. It's a lot better than the typical... I've been here before and everything has been good and the people have been friendly, as well it should be. Let's face it, working at a weed store as about as great of a job as you can ever get. Having happy customers come in all day and sell weed and make $25-$30/hr with tips! It's no wonder everybody is so happy there... Except for today. today was my first negative experience at any pot shop ever actually and unfortunately very negative. It was a very strange encounter with the lady that checks you in up front. The most kick back of all the kick back jobs. You make the easy money, smoke weed, and don't even need to get out of your chair, the best! They have the little bank type window where you slide your ID under it, which I've done many times in the past, pretty much a no-brainer, and this kook tells me not to throw things at her, What?? I was so surprised I looked behind me and looked at her and I'm like what are you talking about? I did no such thing. And then she falsely accused me a second time of throwing things at her by saying ' I don't like it when people throw things at me'. Now, she was obviously high, and that's OK. Then I looked over at the security guard sitting next to her and asked him to clarify what she was talking about, and that if he thinks if I threw something at her when I deposited my drivers license under the window. And he kind of gave me that guy look where it's like ' ya bro I know if I agree with you I'll have to listen to her. So if I threw things at one of their employees, don't you think they would've called the police on me or at least thrown me out? Of course they would have, and they didn't because she was lying, and I never threw anything at her. I'm a little sensitive about this stuff because my sister was a victim of physical violence. This chick reminds of those videos that you see on social media about a Karen that is all dramatic and flailing her arms because you parked in her parking spot and accuses you of violating her personal space. Or the Karen that accuses you assault in a grocery store for being in front of her in line or something stupid like that, my advice, toughen up buttercup. If you are so fragile that you would falsely accuse someone twice because you don't approve how he placed his license under the glass window?! the real world is gonna be a rough place for you I gotta tell you. And when the budtender rung me up, I even shared the experience to him (this was kind of a big deal for me as it was my first time ever of being accused of assaulting/throwing things at a woman) and he told me that she is probably having a bad day. Prices are great and so many awesome people work here. However today I had a terrible experience with brooke. I had a road rage incident that stemmed from the beginning of E Vista Way. When I got to the dispo I was honking at the person who was involved as they were purposefully harassing me with their brakes. As soon as I pull in to the lot they security guard was very nice and professional and just said to love on which I did. However it didn't end there because a Off the Charts employee by the name of Brooklyn felt the need to take it upon herself to accuse me of malicious wrong doing towards the other party involved because she was a woman and I was a young male. SHAME ON OFF THE CHARTS!!! Back in March 2022 one of their drivers was assaulted in an attempted mugging while making a delivery. Instead of taking care of them and providing any protection benefits, they decided to limit their liability and laid off all the drivers. Now they've lost revenue from no longer doing home deliveries while also putting a number of people out of work. Dumb decision that doesn't make any business sense.
