If you are in the Pacific area and are looking to support a new joint... Try Off the Rails The Burgers were very good and Split a Basket of Fries!!!! You get plenty. The drinks were the Nostalgic ones made with Pure Cane Sugar!!! The place is small so Inside seating is limited but they do have outdoor picnic tables!!!! My daughter got the Cheeseburger I recommend the House Burger: Burger Patty with Feta, Mayo, BBQ Sauce, Pickles and lettuce/tomato.. it doesn't sound like it goes but it does!!! Off The Rails is phenomenal. There is no better burger out there anywhere, hands down. They are cooked to perfection. The taste is as fresh as fresh can possibly be. The employees there are very accommodating and pleasant. It is a very small place, yet very comfortable. Like eating in your own kitchen. I had just about given up on finding a good burger. (Why don't they taste like they did years ago? ) And then we found Off The Rails Burger Bar! Oh my word!!! Simply the best and worth the drive! I had the Cowboy Burger, my husband tried the Gyro Burger, and we were not disappointed! So moist and full of flavor. Turns out the meat is from a farm just 10 miles down the road! We split a basket of delicious fries but should have gotten the small - didn't expect such a generous size! Even the soda fountain was a treat! And the staff was an unexpected delight: courteous, attentive, welcoming,... all the things you hope for! We opted to sit outside at the picnic tables and enjoyed the trains passing by; we felt like kids, grinning ear to ear as they rumbled by! We ended up talking with John, the owner/chef, and that was an experience in itself! He has a wonderful life story and passion for excellence. Absolutely loved this place! The burgers were fantastic--juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. You can tell they really care about using fresh, quality ingredients. The kids menu was a pleasant surprise too--great options that our little ones actually enjoyed (and finished). Service was welcoming & friendly. Ah.. fresh tasty burgers cooked to order. They've done a nice job making use of this old building. It's clean and comfortable. The only thing I would say is that it takes a bit to get your food. Especially if they are busy. But it's because it's a small kitchen and they are cooked to order. Overall, I recommend having some patience and giving them a try! read more

Been awhile since I did a review but had to comment about this place. Atmosphere is nothing special but clean and organized, a true old style burger bar. To point, the burger was great. Meat moist though cooked medium well perfectly seasoned. Simple bun very fresh that added to the burger. I am old school and eat my burgers with no condiments our side of cheese - meat bread and cheese only for me. I did add bacon and am I glad I did. Three thick strips of thick hearty bacon, it was a meat lovers perfect burger. Small side of fries that I could not finish were also well seasoned, spicy yet not overly done and again, cooked to perfection with a crispy outside and fluffy in. Wanted the breakfast burger that was $11 but wanted a hamburger instead of the sausage patty so they did a build a burger instead and was told it would only be $12.5 but ended up being over $17. Also was not told that it was a $2 up charge for a soda on a kids meal. Food was good but not worth the price. read more

Overall my experience was very good for my first visit with it only being open for a short time. The burger had good flavor. The bacon was thick and cooked perfectly as well as the grilled onions. The fries came out hot and fresh and were seasoned with salt. The only issue I had was I asked for my burger medium rare and it came out well done. Not the biggest issue but hopeful this is a one time mistake because I will be returning! read more

Service was decent, was sad I couldn't get just a "brisket platter" and only the sandwich, as the brisket platters are apparently exclusive for a "catering menu". Overall, it's a nice, smaller sized bar type restaurant with a stage, so I assume they have live music on certain nights as well.
