This review is based solely on late night pizza. After a concert at Aura my wife and I drove to exchange street to get some Off Track Pizza. I had yet to try it while my wife had it at work at least once. We beat the after bars close rush I would expect for a Saturday. What a great spot to come to after a night out at the bars though to make sure you have some food before sleeping. We each got one pepperoni slice and the slices are large. Didn't take long for the staff to throw them in the oven to be warmed up, under three minutes. Like I said the slices are large and after that quick few minutes in the oven it came out perfectly crisp. Tasty and well made pizza with what I would assume is high quality ingredients. This will be an option for any nights we find ourselves in Portland wanting a late night bite for a reasonable price for value. Quick and friendly service. I look forward to returning to try more pizza and want to try their chicken parm sandwich as well!

So glad to have a pizza slice place right in the old port with a nice variety of flavors and $3 Rolling Rock. One large slice ranges from $4.50 to $6.50 and was more than enough for dinner. You just can't get dinner in the Old Port for anywhere near that price and the people watching is great! Thanks for the great service and a full belly!

** Off Track Pizza - Portland, ME ** If you're craving a solid slice in Portland, **Off Track Pizza (15 Exchange St)** is definitely worth a stop! We tried a mix of slices and their **$14 CHICKEN PARM** sandwich, and here's the breakdown: **CHICKEN PARM** - A beauty! The **chicken cutlet, house vodka sauce, mozzarella, basil, and sesame seed bun** came together perfectly. The vodka sauce was flavorful, and the sesame bun was a nice touch. The only thing I'd change? The **chicken could've been crispier**! But overall, it **hit the spot**. **8/10** **SLICES:** **VODKA BURRATA** - Creamy burrata, basil, and vodka sauce? Yes, please. This was a standout! **TRUFFLE MUSHROOM** - Earthy roasted mushrooms with **black truffle, scallions, and white sauce**--great for truffle lovers. **THE MOOTS** - **Fresh mozzarella, ricotta, olive oil, garlic, and sesame seeds**--I loved the sesame seeds and, honestly, I'm a sucker for **ricotta**. **BUFFALO CHICKEN** - Fried chicken, mozzarella, **blue cheese crumbles**, and scallions. A good take on a classic. ** FAVORITES:** **The Vodka Burrata & The Moots**--both were cheesy, flavorful, and the sesame seed crust on the Moots was a game-changer! **Affordability:** **7/10** - Slices range from **$4-$6**, a fair price for the quality. **Ambiance:** **7/10** - **Cute grab-and-go spot** with **upstairs seating and an old arcade** for a fun retro touch! **Overall:** **8/10** - A solid slice shop that satisfies your **pizza cravings**. Definitely recommend stopping in if you're in **downtown Portland**!

Fun place to grab a slice and a cocktail. We got 4 slices to share and a chicken parm sandwich. All were outstanding. My ranking is as follows: Vodka burrata Buffalo chicken Mootz Truffle mushroom You can't go wrong with whatever you choose. They also offer salads and I noticed in the case they have some interesting salad dressings to pick from. If you go upstairs they have some pinball machines. Check it out!

Looking for a quick bite to eat before a show at the Cross arena and we came upon Off Track. Not a soul in the shop on Saturday night at 5p made us a little hesitant, but the reviews had me optimistic. Brick wall decor with window seating and stairs going up. Not sure if there is more seating because we didn't need more then two stools at the window. The selection of ready-made pizzas was OK, I went with cheese as the other toppings were not appetizing to me. Hubby got the salami and garlic. I really like the crust first and foremost. A good crust is a deal breaker. Then towards the end it of my slice, I had to start taking sauce off as it became over whelming for me. There must be lots of paste in their sauce. It was so strong, I couldn't tolerate it or another slice even though I was still hungry. Service was great. Not sure if we will back.

Went here after a few drinks around Portland. We really appreciate how you're able to purchase slices basically all night. There's never any long waits and prices are honestly not terrible especially for Portland. Got the cheese, pepperoni, and the truffle mushroom. They're crispy and have good flavor but definitely a little greasy. The mushroom truffle was by far my favorite. The flavors worked so well and I felt like it was just overall better cooked, less greasy, and had more character to it. Overall, although this isn't my favorite style of pizza, it's pretty good and would have it again. It's great how late they stay open and it's a pretty solid slice. They have great options and a good space and would recommend giving it a try.

It's difficult to review a business when nearly all of the competition has closed, but Off Track is far better than Slice Bar and Bill's ever were. And it exceeds the slices at Otto as well. The owner has a mini empire of businesses on Exchange Street, and Off Track maintains the streak of all being good. Upon entering, you choose a slice (either $5.50 or $6.50) from six different options. After five minutes of reheating in the oven, it's served piping hot. And these slices are huge. One could easily be enough for dinner. The Sausage and Pepper consisted of sausage, ricotta, cherry bomb peppers and garlic cream sauce. It had some serious kick and rivaled the best pizza spots downtown. There are also sandwiches and salads during the day, but I'll always order pizza. There are 6 house-made bottled cocktails ($7) available as well. The Secretariat (scotch, ginger, lemon) was light and refreshing. Upstairs has prime people watching of Exchange Street, a pinball machine, a second bar, and tv's for sports. It's not fancy, but Off Track fills the desperate need for a really good slice bar.

There is a bar above the off track pizza and it is absolutely amazing. You can order pizza at the bar and I tell you the bartenders are awesome. They make a mean ass old-fashioned that I absolutely love you. Do not need a chaser for that.

We went here for late night pizza and it did not disappoint. The dirty ranch to go with the slice was so good. Felt reminiscent of a late night spot in New York City in the best way possible!

There are limited options when it comes to getting a slice of pizza in downtown Portland. Off track is relatively new and has made a good impression in the old port area. This isn't a surprise as it is one of Maranda's newest spots (sister restaurants with Blyth and Burrows, Via Vecchia, Papi, and the late Henry). Location is mint along with its hours since they serve an hour after the bars close. As for the pizza, I find it best when hot. The pepperoni is dialed, cheesy, greasy and crisp. Sausage a pepper pizza was spicy and flavorful. I felt it was a little dry but was still enjoyable. Same goes for the buffalo chicken slice. It was dry but when I paired it with their dirty ranch it was great. Overall, it's a great place to munch and we will return!

We stopped in on a Wednesday evening because my son was feeling some pizza. It's a quaint pizza joint with counter seating facing the street and a few seats in the back. They weren't really busy. We ordered a slice of cheese pizza, chips, & a drink. It came to about $7.50. My son liked it. The employees were nice enough and they had it ready in minutes.

Great addition to the portland food scene. To find a pizza joint that sells slices is harder and harder to find in the old port. I have not been out to the old port on a Friday/Saturday night in a long time, but I'm sure the drunk masses needed something quick to eat. Off tracks pizza are very good, the vodka sauce one is especially great, I could have ordered an entire pie, and I think it right out of the oven would have been that much better. The cheese and pepperoni seemed sold. The spicy sausage had lots of kick but just seemed meh to me. Total with a drink and bag of pretzels ran me close to 32 dollars. Somewhat steep for pizza, but that vodka sauce pizza, wow was it good! Like seriously grab a slice in the future. Sandwiches sounded epic. And maybe another will give it a try. The dining room is on the second floor and is a pretty large size, so grab a slice warmed up and head upstairs for some people watching on exchange. And talking about exchange street, wouldn't it make sense to just close that off from cars at this point. Pedestrian traffic only. People would love! So Portland city officials please read this comment and make it happen.

Sausage and pepper with ricotta and garlic sauce

This place just opened on Exchange St in Portland ME so we decided to try it out. Love that you can get a slice! There are 6 different kinds of pizza slices to choose from and the slices are huge. We chose pepperoni, vodka burrata, and sausage and pepper. The slices were heated in the oven for just a few minutes. The undercarriage was crispy and the crust tasty...closer to a NY style pizza as opposed to a New Haven style pizza. The sauce ratio on the pepperoni was perfect. The vodka burata sauce had a hint of sweetness and paired well with the creamy burrata. The sausage and pepper with ricotta and garlic sauce-no red sauce-was so tasty and the crumbled sausage had a nice taste and texture. The cherry bomb peppers gave it a kick! We ate outside (think there were 2 small sidewalk tables) and there is counter seating inside on the first floor and more dining space upstairs. A plain cheese slice is $4.50 while one of the specialty slices is $6.50. They also offer sandwiches, salads, and a few cocktails. The fountain soda machine was out of order but they do have canned and bottled drinks available. Service was super friendly, service was quick, and the place was clean. There was no line when we got there, but that soon changed with folks flooding in. On street parking where you can find it.

Good NY style pizza. Quick in and out . Large slices and fountain root beer always a win . Like the crispy burnt pepperoni cups.

The lemon sole (fish) and octopus carpaccio (not pictured) were filled with flavor! The pork belly was very underwhelming and I would not order again. The waiter said 2-4 plates per person. I recommend starting on the lower end and adding additional dishes based on how you're feeling. The amount of food was very different from dish to dish. For example the tuna dip had way too much bread and the pork belly was very small in size. Overall I was half impressed. I wish the staff would take a moment to announce the plate as it's placed next to you or point it out on the menu for those hard of hearing and wanting to know what they are about to enjoy. However the music, overall restaurant vibe and half the dishes exploding with flavor made my experience pleasant and I will return again knowing a bit more of what to expect and looking at photos of the menu/meal options beforehand.

What could be better than a dumpling lounge? We just went for the first time and were blown away. The ambiance of the place is unique. It feels like a chic timeless but retro speakeasy with the fun atmosphere of a tiki bar. Dark red and black colors, floral art, Art Deco chandeliers, lacquered tables, kitsch and fun cheetah lamps and statues. It immediately put a smile on our faces. The food is also unique. Dim sum for dinner but with more sophisticated twists and better quality than you'll find in most Chinatowns. You start by getting a dish with three different dipping sauces for the dumplings. The hot and sour soup was rich in peanut flavor, filled with tofu, mushrooms, and seaweed, with a cumulative little kick of spiciness. It was a great start and a major cut above anything we've ever had in a Chinese restaurant. The sichuan cucumber salad are Chinese cucumbers innovatively cut into a spiral like a slinky or coil spring. You pick them up with chopsticks and they spring up and down! Served in a horseradish and pepper coulis, they had a spicy kick. Don't miss the mojo baby corn. It's grilled, crispy, and addictive. You'll want a bucket of it when watching a movie. Steamed soup dumplings are filled with ham or prosciutto, a nicely salty and meaty twist on the standard ones. Steamed mushroom and truffle dumplings are probably the closest to traditional dim sum, rich, flavorful, and packed with shrooms. Crab and lobster lucky bags were deep fried wontons filled with a mix of ground lobster and crab, on a bed of crème fraiche with scallions. A great contrast with the crispy salty shell and soft filling! Our favorite was the sesame beef bao. They look like the traditional sesame balls in Chinese restaurants, crispy on the outside, pillowy soft inside but filled with brisket! They were mouth wateringly delicious! There was a selection of larger entrée plates that looked good (fried rice, lo mein, crispy chicken) that we didn't try but will next time. The drink menu was three pages long. Every kind of creative cocktail you can imagine, a long list of wines and sparking drinks, at prices from reasonable to 'special occasion.' For the atmosphere and ambiance, it seemed like cocktails or sparkling wine went best. All the staff and the manager couldn't have been nicer and more welcoming. They made us feel like old friends. Their warmth was genuine, we were sincerely touched by their friendliness. We were smiling and laughing the whole time, and amazed at how delicious the food was. It's unique. It's so much more than just a delicious meal. Going here is truly an experience, one that we'll remember for a long time and want to repeat often. It's an incredibly special place, and you feel special being here. You won't find a place like this outside of New York City, but here it is in Portland. We're going to go back often and regularly.

I wouldn't recommend Lucky Cheetah…read more The aesthetics, atmosphere, and cocktails were all great, and I can see why the place is popular. Unfortunately, the service completely overshadowed the positives. The moment I walked in, I was asked if I had a reservation, which is perfectly normal. When I said no, the host gave me a look that felt very much like, "How dare you?" before telling me I was lucky they had one spot left at the bar. Oddly enough, the bar appeared mostly empty, but whatever. I was seated in what felt like the worst seat possible--tucked into a corner right next to the POS station, where servers were constantly moving back and forth picking up drinks. It wasn't exactly a comfortable or relaxing place to sit. The bartender was pleasant enough, but the overall vibe remained off the entire time. I felt less like a paying customer and more like someone they were reluctantly doing a favor for by allowing me to be there. I ordered the lobster and crab rangoon bags, which had a nice texture but were overwhelmingly salty. As soon as I placed my appetizer order, the menu was taken away, which made me feel rushed and unwelcome. The bartender also didn't check in much throughout the meal. It's a beautiful space with good drinks, but hospitality matters. Unfortunately, I left feeling unwelcome from start to finish, and I wouldn't return.
