I stopped in here before heading to the movies in the same plaza and was looking for some small spiral notebooks. I'm old school and still prefer writing notes on a pad or in a notebook, and I go through quite a few of them at the office. They had a decent selection, and the store itself was nice, clean, and easy to navigate. My only issue was the pricing. I thought the notebooks were pretty expensive, especially for something I go through so quickly. I ended up stocking up on what I needed at Dollar Tree, also located in the same plaza. I most likely won't make a special trip back since I don't live in this area, but it's nice to know that they are here if I happen to need something while I'm in the plaza for a movie. read more

Walked into Office Depot on a Sunday afternoon because I needed a new mouse for my laptop today, not in two days when Amazon decides to grace me with a delivery. I was greeted at the door, pointed toward the Great Wall of Mice, and honestly felt like royalty for a solid 45 seconds. I browsed, I compared, I made my choice. Easy. Smooth. Efficient. And then... the journey took a turn. Because now it was time for The Great Checkout Quest of 2025. You'd think holding a product in your hand near a register would summon an employee, like retail Beetlejuice. Nope. Not here. Instead, I had to go on a little safari and eventually spotted Marco, crouched over a display like he was examining ancient ruins. I got three looks from him -- Look #1: "Ah." Look #2: "Still there?" Look #3: "If I ignore him hard enough, maybe he'll evaporate." Zero acknowledgment. Not even a head nod. Nothing. So I walked over and asked if anyone was working the front. He says, "I'll be right with you." And then proceeds to move toward the register at a pace that would make a sloth question its life choices. I've seen dial-up internet move faster. Once we finally get to the register, the real priority becomes clear: not my money, not my time, not my sanity -- my phone number. Because of course, nothing says customer service like interrogating me for loyalty points I will never use. Got checked out, grabbed my mouse, and basically sprinted out like I'd just escaped retail purgatory. If I didn't need that silly little mouse today, I promise you I'd be clicking "Buy Now" on Amazon from the comfort of my couch. And honestly? This was a decent Office Depot. It was completely empty when I stopped by except for two employees that I saw. There was one of them at the register. I'd been carrying around some used ink cartridges to bring back to recycle. And when we were a few doors away, we saw this store. So first, I stopped by the register to do so. As a member of their loyalty program, you get $2 per returned cartridge. I had a prior credit that I needed to use before the end of the month, and I needed some new ink for a newer printer. It turned out to be a good stop. Got what I needed at an even better price -- after using the credit. read more

I want to outstanding the job Justin (assistant manager or floor associate, won't make a difference in this case) did with us. We bought a computer chair and he gave us his advise on which one would be the best based on our needs, we paid a $15 extra fee to get it assembled and told us would be ready for pick up the following day. Not only the chair was fully assembled but he fetched it from the warehouse and put it in our car trunk. He had a wonderful attitude, expertise and ready to do what it takes to make the customer happy. I highly recommend this store and once again here go our congratulations to Justin. Not sure what happened though it has been a steady race to the bottom for the Office Depot at 9545 Westview Drive in Coral Springs. I've tried three times over the past several months to shop there and each time the experience is worse than the last. Most recently I was told by the print station clerk that I was "crazy" to think I could ask them to print 5 posters the same day and I'd have to figure out something else. I tried to explain I was simply going by their website which noted if I submitted before 2pm they would be ready the same day though all I got back from the clerk was a condescending rebuttal, including his repeated snarky remarks as he repeatedly cut me off, telling me "sir, sir, stop, just listen to me, I don't care what it says online, we don't have anything to do with online, we are too busy to print anything for you today, if you have the info on a USB drive you can come use the self-service printers", to which I asked if they would print posters and he said "no, you can only print flyers, I already told you we can't print any of your posters, we have nothing to do with the website and you'd be crazy to think we could print 5 posters (18"x24") in a day". I can live with his smug tone as he sounded like a young kid and obviously hasn't learned how to act like a mature adult yet, albeit we all know several "adults" that act like he did. Either way, his complete disregard for anything I was trying to say made me smirk as ultimately his actions would have absolutely no impact on me though would have a major impact on him and his current employer, Office Depot, who both must now deal with the negative impacts of his behaviors, which from the almost constant lack of customers in the store, the multiple Office Depot locations shutting down, and the other reviews with similarly poor experiences regarding Office Depot, doesn't seem to indicate a strong future for either of them, which is unfortunate as a little kindness can go a long way and costs nothing, though of course that requires rationale thought and common sense, neither of which seem to be readily accessible in this situation. So in the meantime, if you need custom printing, I would recommend going elsewhere, for example after hanging up with him I went online and place my order at the Walmart website which had everything ready for pickup within a few hours, no complications or clerks with poor attitudes that seem mission driven to do whatever they can to refuse your business. So with that said, thanks Walmart for coming through, I'll definitely be back, you came through when I needed you and while I can't say every time is a pleasant experience, I can say more often than not your employees treat me fairly and often go above and beyond to ensure I have what I need. Unfortunately that isn't the case for Office Depot - Coral Springs 2543, which I most certainly won't be returning to anytime soon,, as long as they continue to hire employees like the young man I just spoke to or those I came across while in the store the past few times, who acted as if they couldn't be bothered to help or when nothing I tried to purchase wrang up the right price they did nothing to make the situation right, I am confident that if this continues it won't be long before there is another store in the same location as Office Depot simply can't sustain a business by caring so little about the customers it needs to support them, especially in this day and age where everything is cheaper online or there's better experiences at other stores, who don't employee staff that simply don't care about what they do. I love this location! I drove 15 minutes to try a different location instead of the one that is literally 1/2 mile from my home! I use the copy center a LOT and the people and the equipment at this location are AWESOME!! Very efficient, more than one person working in the copy center AND other employees throughout the store come and help when it gets busy. I keep going back to the business services area hoping that my experience will change but it hasn't. I have had many situations where I have dropped off projects only to return and they are not completed as committed. Then I must stand and wait almost 30-45 minutes for them to complete the project. What is the point of offering a drop off service if you can't complete it?!? I have tried a few days, several hours but the outcome is still the same.
