The Manager/Owner met with me to select a new PC, with a generous credit. The only reason I don't give 5 stars here is that the communication with staff leading up to the realization I needed a different PC was confusing and frustrating. They are friendly, but they did not seem attuned to the customer's frustration. Finally, I had to request to talk to the Manager in order to get things to happen, and then he was quick to accommodate me. I recommend them; and I would shop there again because of how they resolved my situation. They have little control over the problems that arise, but it's how they handle the problems that matters. They are small, but they have a quality selection and they seem committed to the individual customer's satisfaction; I greatly prefer them over the "big box" stores.

The fact that their web page still points to this Roseville location tells me they are not a reliable computer repair business regardless of where they might currently be located.

Before leaving I figured I should open it and make sure I ordered the right product. Glad I did because I did order the wrong one, ugh. I went inside and the door attendant directed me to where the cords were and said I should get the correct one and then I could proceed to the service desk. Now that it's a month later I'm doubting my confidence that it was Jamie that assisted me? When I did the exchange she said there was money due and I interrupted saying: yes $2 and.... She said $7. We discussed that I made the purchase with $5 Best Buy Rewards bucks... would those not transfer over or did I forfeit them with the exchange? Jamie called a manager over as they clicked around and made the $5 transfer to the correct purchase! I am normally not in the habit of carefully inspecting curbside orders but I really should have. They left the name of the previous customer on the box. I have contacted him and he is less than enthused about this experience, too. I would prefer to not have to drive all the way back to that store, but the customer service agents have not been helpful. I would strongly suggest not purchasing anything that you might use to feed your family. It is clear that they do not pay any attention to what they're selling.

This is the summary of my two (and only) experiences at this store…read more.. 2 STARS!!! My first Apple Store visit was LAME. I should have known better. I'm a 60 year old dude, probably 20 years behind in tech. I'm a caveman. My only Apple product is a used iPhone SE I got from my elderly mother 2 months ago. She lost it under her recliner, she got a new one, she found the old one, she gave the old one to me, and neither one of us even registered it with Apple. Get the picture? My business partner inspired me to dive into Apple products and to give them a chance. So I decided to drive to the Apple Store at Rosedale, alive and IRL, with $2000 cash to buy the newest iMac in vibrant peachy orange! I also got a wireless mouse, a matching full sized wireless keyboard, yada, yada, yada. What could go wrong? Right? My simple purchase turned into a 3 hour long nightmare. I was actually there for nearly two hours after closing, in a dark empty mall. Apple doesn't take cash payments for their stuff. But they magically take cash for gift cards. So it was my cash...converted to several gift cards...used for my iMac payment. Easy, right? No, not for the great and mighty Apple Corporation. The transaction failed with an immediate halt. And it took geniuses and managers 3 hours to figure it out. Sad. Only Apple could completely fail and turn a simple 5 minute cash transaction into a 3 hour long nightmare. What a joke. To add insult to injury, they kept asking me for my Apple ID. How many times do I have to tell them? I have NO Apple ID yet! I'm a brand new Apple customer. Get it? But no - no they did NOT get it. No comprende, amigos and amigas. Like watching paint dry...I observed multiple managers scratching their heads, lots of honchos in frantic conversations, geniuses rubbing their temples, multiple calls to Apple corporate HQ in CALI, I heard comments hinting at lots of weird corporate obstructions, I made a couple threats to cancel & demand my cash, I got bribes of free items to lure me into not to giving up...etcetera, etcetera, etcetera. I would have preferred to be water boarded. But I'm a stubborn Scotsman...embrace the suck, hold fast til the end. I'm down for the pain. What is the stupid bottom line summary, you ask? After 3 hours...when added up...the cards were 53 dollars short for my purchases. So my transaction failed. I just had to hand them an extra Ben Franklin hundo. Dumb. 4 STARS!!! My second Apple Store experience was GOOD. I was having some basic issues with my "new" used phone. My assigned genius got to me immediately -- no wait. And he was awesome. He helped me reconcile multiple Apple IDs (it's a long story), he gave me the skinny on apps, he helped me cleanup some silliness on my phone, and he answered several of my idiotic newbie questions. BTW, I have to acknowledge and salute the Hipsters, I counted at least 3 man buns on premises at Apple. I spied them in northern CALI trendy spots about 10 years ago. At the time, I predicted they'd migrate East and appear on the crowns of Minnesota Hipsters in 10 years. And I WAS RIGHT! I saw 3 in one day at Apple! I saw a genius wearing a kilt too. That one warmed my heart. Thanks, Apple! You redeemed yourself. I promise to never pay for an Apple product with a United States of America paper note, "legal tender for all debts, public and private", ever ever ever again. I guess Apple sets U.S. monetary policy now. Do I get to vote for the CEO? All hail Apple, I guess.

I recently went there for a scheduled repair to replace the back glass on my phone. I arrived about 10 minutes early because I hate being late. The employee checking me in had trouble getting the QR code to work at the entrance, but directed me to sit in the back and said someone would help me shortly. About 10 minutes after my scheduled appointment time, another technician came over and asked whether my phone was running beta software. I told her it was. She said they would need to "flash" the software and connected my phone to their computer. My entire phone was then erased. At no point did she clearly tell me that this process would delete everything on my phone, nor did she ask whether I had a current backup. Had I understood that my data was about to be erased, I would have backed up the phone while I was waiting or chosen not to proceed. When I raised concerns, she immediately claimed she had warned me at the entrance. She had not. She then repeatedly stated that Apple is not responsible for lost data, despite the data being lost during the service process without a clear warning or confirmation from me. My backup did not include my messages, many apps, and other important information, so I lost almost everything that was stored locally on my phone. There was no meaningful apology or attempt to help. I was simply asked to sign paperwork acknowledging that Apple was not responsible. At that point, my choices were essentially to leave with a broken, erased phone or allow them to complete the repair and leave with a repaired, erased phone. I strongly recommend using a different Apple location for repairs, such as Apple Southdale or the Mall of America location. More importantly, regardless of where you go, make sure you complete a full backup before handing over your device and require the technician to explain clearly whether any part of the service could erase your data. I understand that customers are responsible for backing up their devices, but I also believe technicians should obtain informed permission before performing a process that will completely erase someone's phone.

Dealt with them several years ago for an order of ~10 used laptops. Reasonably priced and free delivery. Quality of the laptops was decent. OK, cool Dealt with them this year for another batch of used laptops. Delivered batch of 10 laptops and told me, off-hand as they were leaving, "Oh I know you ordered each laptop with 8GB of RAM but 4 of them only have 4GB because it's all we had. I'll drop off the correct memory later." Wonderful. Would have preferred to have been warned in advance, so I could ask that they only deliver the order when it was actually complete and correct, but I'm stuck now, I guess. Thus begins an annoying month of waiting, phone calls, and emails trying to arrange for the delivery of the additional memory. Finally, memory was dropped off. BUT. It was the wrong type. Another several weeks of unanswered emails and calls to the poor front desk worker without actually being able to talk to the person in charge of ordering the correct hardware and delivering on the order. At this point, I'm chalking this up to an expensive lesson learned, as I will probably need to just go buy the required memory instead of waiting at the mercy of poor communication and even poorer customer service.

So he didn't know if he could even fix it let alone how long or if there would be added costs for the fix. He told me this was a "VERY fair rate". So this was WAY more than I expected to pay being an hour of work equated to over half the cost of my device. I then went to Micro Center down the road who could diagnose it for $80 flat and would help cover any costs of the fix. I went with Micro Center and they fix my computer and returned it 3 days later for $120 total. Now I think this business could've fixed my computer same day but I would've guessed at double the price and I didn't mind waiting.
