I came in to ship out a FedEx shipment, went to use the self-serve printer machine because I didn't have the shipment label. I was frustrated because I was sending the pdf label to the supplied email address but the machines would not pull the label correctly to print it out. An associate, Daniel, saw my frustration and came to help. He noticed that the self-serve was not working correctly and came to help me out. He ended up printing my label for me. I am a Office Depot member and customer for over 22 years. The service in the shops is to ay the least very limited and not always nice. BU THIS TIME IS ENOUGH: I ordered a shipping of reams of paper (a full box). Oh, I was delivered. By a pig. The delivery person did not knock at our door and left the package unprotected under the rain. I could not transfer pics but it is a disaster, of course. Specifically this review is for FedEx at Office Depot, unfortunately they dont have an Yelp that I was able to locate. Keeping this straightforward as Ive dropped off a package to be delivered to recipient. A few days later, the tracking status was still showing the initial stage so I was concerned. I've called this location and FedEx Corp multiple times only to learn that my package was still pending. They indicated it was already picked up, however my suspicion is that it was not, possibly still there or lost/stolen (not making assumptions, there's no evidence) Very disappointed, normally wouldn't spend time writing this sh* at all, but it was an expensive product and I'll likely earn a bad review since my client is not able to get the package. My experiences here have always been hit or miss. Sometimes there are really smart and helpful employees, other times they are unapproachable and grumpy; managers/supervisors vs employees i guess. Their inventory stock ain't that great either; whatever you see out in the shelves is what you get, or they're too lazy to help you out haha. Busy as fudge Sunday on the "hottest" day of this summer at 100+ degrees *I don't believe it, summer isn't over yet!* I went in around 2pm to print out a 10 page sympathy card to give to a family. The file was incomplete so I was not quite ready to print when I arrived, had to review paper weight for the card stock and decide how it will be finalized and such, and I was still missing a message to fill in. Dynamite Daniel service 3 people ahead of me fairly quickly and dunderhead that I am, was still needing more time to decide on paper and figure out how to add the arrived last message onto my file. Shouldn't be too hard downloading a PDF editor app and adding it in myself, right? WRONG! I could not for the life of me adjust the text to not look microscopic on the dang file! In the meantime, I gave up holding onto Daniel's attention needlessly and he zipped around helping people left and right as cheerfully and as patiently as he could. As he finished up with maybe the 6th customer after me and the line died down *Hallelujah* I caved in and asked to have some editing service, yes, Daniel did courteously ask in-between projects but to my dismay, I still wasn't ready at that time. After a couple of editing snafus, we are blaming it on the PDF app on the computer as well, I was about ready to accept however it looked, but Dynamite Daniel carefully made sure to get my last message looking beautifully up to the standard of the other text on the file, then cut my project to the right size for me. This could have been a personal project for him from the way he handled it. I can't thank Daniel enough for being a tremendous help, I am so pleased with my project. I saw him efficiently assisting all the customers to the best of his ability with the rush crowd and I hope Office Depot knows his value! read more

2.5-3 stars I was in the area and had some extra time, so I decided to check out Office Depot. Haven't shopped at an Office Depot for years, so it was nice to shop there recently and check out their prices. Most of the Office Depot locations near me have either closed or downsized significantly in building size so I was surprised at how big this location was. During college, I had purchased many quality office supplies from an Office Depot: from multi-subject notebooks to writing utensils, along with photo paper. I did not purchase anything on my visit so I cannot attest to the customer service. It is always fun to shop for office supplies, though one tends to purchase more than what they had expected to. The interior is a bit dingy and feels a bit sparse. I am not sure who occupied the building prior to Office Depot but I don't think Office Depot did much remodeling when they took over. There is a huge parking lot out front, so there is always plenty of parking. read more

Office Depot has some great office supplies deals whenever they go on sale. You can't beat a buck for a box of pencils, or 3 bucks for a reem of paper. Sometimes the sales are ridiculously priced. But you must catch it at the right time. I bought a jet printer here many moons ago. I still have it, but probably belongs in a museum now because the world has gone wireless! Their office equipment is not as great, even though they have price matchings just like every other place of competition. Sure, they have good sales here. But sometimes I look for good customer service, or an associate who has a good knowledge of the product, especially higher priced items. That extra push in their presentation and having knowing on how an item works best can sucker me into buying it. Yes, I'm a sucker for good deals, and a bigger sucker from a great presentation. Unfortunately this store's employees doesn't always possess that knowledge, which is fine too. But good customer service goes a long way. So basically coming here can be a hit or a miss. Sometimes the employees will greet you and make sure all is good, and many times it's an Employee Bad Hair Day. Oh well, I hope they improve. Fortunately I pretty much know what I need coming here, so it really doesn't matter to me. I come here for its convenience when I head home. I like this location, Parking is easy, store is huge, & They have lots of Desk options I think it's a great store. I accidentally bought two of the same item online at officedepot.com. The receipt said I can return the item with receipt to any store and so I brought it here. The girl who greeted me looked visibly annoyed when I said I had a return, who then said they can only process it if they sell the same item. She scanned it and said they don't and I had to go through their online support. I said that doesn't make sense and she had some other guy come over who gave me a phone number and said I need to call that to process the return. I called while standing in the store and the recording said all items purchased online can be returned to a store, and to proceed only if I wanted the return picked up at home. I hung up and complained to both of them that the recording said clearly the store can return it. He said ok and went to his register, entered my order and item number and the return was processed in two seconds. WTF? I feel like they were jerking me around. read more

Went to this Office Depot and placed an order on 4/26/20 I needed four bags of candy, when the order got to me the box contained 16 bags of candy. Sales person who helped Lauryn Dalton was nice BUT failed to tell the customer she was helping that one order consist of four bags each. Called the store and talked to the on duty manager on 5/1/20 who looked up the order and said that any extra items could be returned on 5/4/20. Went in on that day 5/4/20 at opening and was informed by the opener manager I was unable to return the candy due to the Corona-Virus. Would not recommend or would I shop there again poor customer service in more then one area of their business. As a a follow- up I was able to get help on their customer service line and and finally was helped by a employee named Justine # A5PC who handled the order and return with helpfulness and very very professionally. My review is only for the copy and print center: Yesterday I went to try and print some documents and then scan them. There were two people working and boy were they BUSY...They were multitasking and juggling customers from all directions to be more efficient. Office Depot needs to hire more people during high traffic hours or something...anyway the employees were nice and courteous even though they were so busy which is why I'm giving this place a 3 stars. I don't know what's worse, an apathetic employee or a dumb employee. I couldn't tell, but the employee working behind the copy print area needs to have some passion in life. If a client standing in line for fedex tells you they don't want a receipt, just tell them they can leave the packages there and they don't need to wait in line. Also, your other hand works to lift the half pound package for you to scan, why you ask me to lift the small box for your lazy ass to scan the package. I went to visit this store to make a quick copy of a document from my USB. The print was superimposed and illegible. I went to the woman working in that department to ask about it and she said it was the best she could do. I said that was not acceptable and she turned around and ignored me. Finally, she said I could email to their email and she would print it, but again ignored me when I told her it was on a USB. I will never walk in this place again. Staples customer service is so much better. I went in about one half-hour ago on Wed. I hope her management sees this, because there is no way to call and ask for a manger to inform them. They DO NOT ACCEPT GIFT CARDS unless you physically have it and it's from the store. I bought a gift card I've used a few times at this location from the United Mileage Plus app to get some points. Apparently now they can't accept this since it's digital and on your phone. Even if you have the pin. Never experienced this before. It's 2017. Sucks for their employees since they'll have to deal with a bunch of customers who now can't use their gift cards. Would have been nice if there was any sort of help. Maybe printing one on the spot? Instead of rejecting money that was already spent and is allocated to them. With their lack of help and pricing that's doubled if anything Amazon, won't be coming back. tl;dr they don't accept digital gift cards at the store. doesn't matter if you have the pin. One day I'm trying to ship an item with them by USPS but the staff couldn't remember the computer password even to start the shipment process even the supervisor or manager that handling account doesn't even remember. So this is a typical average office depot from what I can tell. Its not a special or spectacular location with unique, test, trail, or clearance specials. This place is just like every other big box store of this type except for the service people. These folks are overly helpful, almost to the point of badgering you as a customer. This has to be per the store managers policy. It is sometimes to point that if you are in the store and move around at all you cant go more than 20' or look at 2 things without someone asking to help. I mean seriously there is a limit to how many times you should ask someone to help them. I dont need a personal sales assistant to help me while I look at printer ink cartridges or avery style labels. OMG seriously people take a chill pill... Im not 5 and I dont need someone to hold my hand. If you want to just browse, it is almost frowned upon here. But sometimes you just want to look at the new tech and see if it is something that interests you. If it does you would buy it or research it a bit. Perhaps ask a few questions. However that is not how this store operates =( They want to help you browse it would seem. Pro Tip: This is a great place for back to school supplies as they carry everything from pencil sharpeners to crayons to notebooks to uniforms. I usually come here for ink and basic supplies when needed for things that I don't have at home. Its something that I prefer not to do as I always end up feeling like I am about to run a gauntlet of helpful service people that I don't want help from. I also don't like that they changed their printer ink cartridge return program from a direct discount to collecting a bunch of them and you get a discount of some sort later on =\ I cant figure out their program but it wasn't as savings visible as the old one, that is for sure. We needed help looking for something and the lady just totally ignored us and walked away that we had to go up to her again until she answered our questions. She didn't even know what we were looking for (label printer) and told us to ask the gentleman at the counter. We asked the gentleman at the counter if they had it in stock and told us "Whatever we have is on the floor" and wouldn't even check their inventory to see if they have anything in their system. Right before I leave guess what I found?? The PRINTER that they said they DIDN'T have, they didn't even bother to look up. I mean damn if you don't want to do your job why bother coming into work. I primarily go to use the copy and print center. The service was less than average most of the time. On this particular time, I waited for about 10 minutes, right in front of the computer, before the lady even acknowledged me. I made it a point to wait patiently and see how long before I could get some service. During that time, when the lady working there was finished helping a customer that was in front of me, an older lady swooped right in (and in front of me) and had a print job. She proceeded to pay with a 100 bill and then pennies for change, which wreaked havoc for the lady trying to give her change for a 2 dollar job. Finally she acknowledged me after 10 minutes, when it was clear, and I very politely asked her why she helped others when I was here before them. She replied, " oh, I think she was before you." This review is specifically for our last experience here with the sales associate, Alfredo. Great service from beginning to checkout. We came in needing a printer for the office that could print good quality photos quickly, but be able to handle a decent amount of printing at a price that can be justified. Alfredo not only proved to us he understood the products, but used whatever resources were available to give us additional information to help in our decision making. He also demonstrated how to use each printer and allowed us to see print quality among the options. He explained the pros and cons of each product in a way that was easy to understand while using the printers to visually demonstrate. We ended up ordering a canon laser printer online with him, and he even checked other stores to show us we were getting the lowest price available, with free shipping. When spending $300+ on a product that is essential to our business, it's important to feel confident about your purchase and know what you're actually getting for your money. Alfredo made this purchase as easy as can be with his knowledge, resourcefulness, and experience. If only there were more workers like Alfredo, shopping could be so easy. read more

I'm never going to come here to drop off any Fedex. I called Office Depot to see, if the package that I had dropped off was picked up because it has been 5 days. The girl that was on the phone put me on hold to find out. She gets back on the phone and then says, "everything from Friday has been picked up, there's nothing here, so you need to call USPS..." I said, "you mean Fedex...?" And said said "yeah... " So that was it. I'm not even sure if she bothered to check since she clearly she was not listening to me in the first place. I had to call Fedex and NOW they are looking into the missing package and opening an investigation. Great... so anyways, I'm NEVER coming back here. It's a shame this Office Depot remained open while the Rosemead/Target Plaza location (WAY BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE) was closed. Came in around 7:30pm to look for a specific binder and there were maybe three other customers in the store. After searching through the absolute mess they call the blinder section, I asked an employee for help. The first thing she told me after I'd asked if the item I was looking for was in stock was "I'm kind of busy right now, is it important?" What do you even say to that? No, I'm just here because I want to drop $11 on a binder for fun. She continued to walk away until she was about fifteen feet away from me before turning around and yelling, "What are you looking for?" After letting her know that it was a five star binder, she shrugged, said, "Hell if I know," and walked away. I ended up finally finding the binder I was looking for and went back to the registers to pay for my purchase. This same employee was there talking on her little walkie talkie while other employees gathered around to giggle at whatever this girl was ranting about. Another employee from the giggling group finally noticed that there were people in line waiting for service and proceeded to ring us up. She asked for our phone number for their rewards card and instead of listening for it, she decided to continue listening to this girl rant on her walkie talkie. My uncle was half way through his phone number before she turns to him and says, "HUUH?" He says his phone number again and this girl just starts giggling because of whatever the other girl is ranting about. What a mess. read more

I went to Office Depot Temple City 3/3/2022. Two staff were doing printing and let two customers wait about 20 minutes. When assisting manager Martin finally came he served the lady behind me despite she told him I am first. I was also complained that I am first. I was waited for another 20 minutes Venessa came to sent the fax for me. I told Martin that what he did is a shame. He then told Venessa and other staff do not serve me. I made a complaint Office Depot said that Martin did not see me and did not mention why he told other staff do not serve me. Poor management. read more
