I had such a negative experience here. I'm a very polite customer who orders from here every couple weeks, so this was uncalled for. My order for curbside had gotten messed up because of technical problems that the store was experiencing, and I was hung up on over and over when trying to figure out what was going on, because I needed what I had ordered and had been charged. I completely understood this because the people are probably new and not sure what to do because of the pandemic so I completely forgave all that. The next day when I went to get my late curbside pickup, I called the lady that I was there for curbside and she just argued about bringing out my order. Why does it hurt you guys to bring out curbside orders when you offer and customers pay for that option? She finally came out and glared at us. I said thank you cheerfully and she wouldn't respond. My order was completely messed up and late so not sure why she was so angry. It was just so snotty. I had my 83 year old grandpa with me and he said wow, she really dislikes her job, it hurts her to help people. Exactly my thoughts. In the middle of a crisis there should be kindness especially when people are giving you business even after people are struggling financially horribly. Especially when I was so understanding of how disorganized their online ordering and curbside is. I feel they need better training. I have also gotten delivery from them with items missing or wrong and customer service not answering. Therefore ,unless you can shop in store, I wouldn't risk ordering online or curbside until they figure out how to use these things more effictively, otherwise your wasting your hard earned money. Their ink is overpriced online , and I never minded ,but now especially when their customer service is so bad, I won't order from here. I would recommend getting office supplies elsewhere where they appreciate your business and want to help people. I always treat employees well knowing how hard they work in frontlines so its unfortunate that you lost me and my families business. read more

Gina was fantastic!! I bought a computer thru the online Office Depot. After 20 days of use, suddenly windows would not load??? The technical support for the computer company were NOT helpful. After an exhausting couple of hours on the phone I gave up. I took the entire computer in the original box (and the software) back to the brick and mortar store. Gina worked with me for a long while, on the phone, with her manager, etc. and figured everything out. In the end I left the old computer in the store and Gina had arranged to have the new computer shipped to my home. THANK YOU Gina!!! We will buy all our computers at your store! read more

I prefer Office Depot when it comes to buying office supplies. The store is always clean and the staff always courteous and helpful. The problem I have is that they change the location of the items I usually go in for and I need to search for them. This can be a little frustrating. Also the aisles to not go from the front to the back of the store so I often find myself zigzagging through the store looking for what I need. The prices are always good and like I said, I like the staff so that's what keeps me coming back. read more

Don't use their copy services! Cameron from copy services will mix up your large stack of papers and you will have to reorganize all of your stacks of copies!!! He is rude, and demeaning. He doesn't want to help so he puts you down instead and raises his voice towards you to intimidate you. It is not worth it, copy it yourself or use another company. There are always multiple people on me asking if I need help here. They go WAY out of their way to make sure the customer is taken care of. On my latest visit after taking a 5 minute phone call with my CPA at Office Depot the nice employee asked if the call ruined my day. I told her "nah pretty typical, but I did loose track of my wife in the meantime." She replied, "well there's a pretty lady with a blue shirt on across the store looking at photo paper." Filthy store. From top to bottom it looks like office supplies stocked in a city dump. Zero employees on the floor. Walked around for 40 minutes in the middle of the day on a Saturday looking for something specific and not a soul in sight except behind the cash register doing menial tasks to look busy and the printing area. Just had the most unpleasant experience in this store. Jacob was the person helping me at register. Reason I was there was because the Office Depot brand ink for my cannon printer was horrible. I didn't bring the cartridge back. I just bought new cannon ink. When he asked me why I seemed down I told him the problem. He quickly shut me down and said now now I don't want to here any of that. He said he would pretend he didn't here me. I said no you should pass it on to home office. He said no way. Will find new store to spend my cash. read more

Decent prices and semi-knowledgeable employees keep me coming back whenever I'm out of something office related. Especially like the 24-pocket accordion files. Durable and able to cram a years worth of receipts into them in case the IRS comes calling gives me a sense of accomplishment. Handing that same file over to my accountant so he can deal with them? So I placed an online order and went to pick it up from the store. When you get to this store, you walk through the doors and directly to the right is a sign that says to go there for online order pickups. So, I stop there and wait for someone to help me. At this time they only had one person on the registers, which was no big deal since they were not very busy. There was only 2 customers in line. The cashier finishes helping 1 of the customers and noticed me waiting and asks if I'm there for order pickup, so I say that I am and he says ok get in line. That last part is the reason I am writing this review, it was very unprofessional the way he directed me to get in line. He did not politely ask me, he told me. If that is the case they should take down the sign that is at the front of the store right through doors that says to wait there for online order pickup. If he would have been more polite and professional about the matter I would not have cared one bit that I had to get in line, it's the way he chose to address me that really honestly irritated me. read more

I went here after I spilt coffee on my MacBook Pro looking for some compressed air to hopefully get it out. i ran into the store and immediately, as almost they knew what the problem was, they grabbed a container of compressed air and put in on my computer. After around 3 minutes of them doing this, my computer actually started to work again! Best of all, Ron (the associate that was helping me) didn't even charge me for the compressed air containers, even though he used two on my computer. read more

I bought a laptop on line and their protection plan. About a year later my computer fell off a shelf and I sent it in for repair. It came back and wouldn't turn on. They wouldn't help me because they said it was a software problem and I would have to buy a Microsoft item for $119.00. I called one of the managers, Barry in Culver City, that I bought the policy from to give him a hard time, but he ended up spending an hour with me over the phone rebooting my computer. I love Office Depot. I would just roam around in here for fun! I usually come here to buy supplies for my small business, or school supplies. I don't come here for technology except printer toner. They usually have what I need, which is my main concern. The store is big and clean and bright. There is always someone to greet me as I come in and see if I need any assistance finding anything. I sometimes shop at their competitor because it is closer to home, but I'm always much more satisfied with my experience at Office Depot. read more

This store's management isn't concerned with being a good neighbor or apparently with customers. When asked to do something about the homeless individuals (who are living for weeks on end in RV's and pickup trucks with campers in the Office Depot parking lot), we were quite bluntly told that he had better things to do and to stop calling him. Walking into the store wondering if one of these camping Office Depot vagrants is going to harass me doesn't make it a pleasant place to shop. Sadly, I will never be returning to this store again. I think this may be a Company wide standard to have terrible customer service. I was not surprised at all when the Saviers location closed down, and this one is probably headed toward the same fate. When I started getting printing done here about a year ago, they were quick, efficient, and friendly. The past 3 or 4 months, it's gotten terribly more disastrous than the last. The way the employees talk to customers, they would tell me straight up lies, call me "hey lady", tell me they are doing me "favors" (by doing their job they are paid to do...). Lately, it's taking HOURS to print off single sided single copy documents, and then the assistant manager Susan feels the need to tell me "I went out of my way to help you today..." shouldn't that be my opinion, not yours? And no, you didn't. Then they always blame something other than themselves, the equipment, or the on demand service; and feel the need to try and "prove" their point to me, as maybe to justify that I shouldn't be upset at their shoddy service. AND THEN tell me that they aren't arguing with me, just showing me. There's so many things wrong with this store, I will never return. I will gladly pay twice as much for copies at the UPS store or Fedex Kinkos then have to deal with their staff again. Playing the blame game gets you nowhere. read more

I am writing this review because right now I cannot use my computer. I took it into office Depot after I got scammed and someone took control of my computer. They told me they would clean it up and get it back to me. I mentioned to them that it was critical that I had it back soon. 7 days later it was still there. It was explained to me that some service they use to do something was not acting right and it wasn't their fault that my computer wasn't ready. They had done their best. They wanted me to leave it longer so they could finish the job but I simply had to take it because I needed it now. After booting up, I couldn't get rid of the help desk that they had connected to, I took it back to office Depot and still, after trying several times, the tech could not remove it either. Today I still cannot use my computer and I'm going to take it to someone else. To be fair, their customer service toward me was excellent, I believe they tried their best including giving me a gift card to make up for the problem. Unfortunately, the problem persists. read more

The copy and print staff is great. I do print work often, so finding someone that could do short runs quickly and well was important. When the OD corporate website was glitching and failing to properly upload files, the Ventura store was super accommodating, allowing me to just email files to them and pay when I picked up. They're a bit less expensive than FedEx Kinko's for similar quality. Primarily, though, it's the staff at this location that keeps me coming back. read more

I just left this store. First guy messes up my return giving me $20 cash back for a $34 item, and 1 CENT back for $8 post its. I go back in and the manager "fixes" the problem, and gives me the full $34 for the $20 item. I get home and check the email receipt, and he didn't refund me the $8 for the item he only gave me 1 CENT FOR!!! Now I have to go back AFTER HOURS ON A FRIDAY!!! to get my $8 bucks back. read more

So My dad who has a broken leg needed a printer cartridge so he went online on their website for faster service and bought a printer cartridge and I went in to pick it up in the store. You walk in and first thing is a sign for online purchases but the computer is off and no-one is near. I look at the cashiers and there were two white guys both busy. Then I see an area where they do shipping and orders so I walk over there. One girl is helping a woman and in the back ground a guy is working on a copier his body halfway in it while the assistant manager "Susan" is monitoring him. The girl finishes with the woman in front of me and the woman left saying well I guess no one can help me. So I walk up and tell her I already paid just need to pick this up. She says "I can't help you you need to go to the cashier" I'm like great couldn't they just put a goddamn sign up in the beginning. So I go to the line and I'm behind one woman then four more people come behind me. All while both woman in shipping are standing behind The copy machine fixer while the line gets increasingly longer, unreal. Finally I get called up to a cashier and get the hell out of there. Almost 20 to 25min for a already paid item. My pops called later to complain and asked for a manager when he got a "manager" he asked for her name and she said "Susan" then said "now that you have my information what is it." I had gone here a few times and never experienced a problem, but that all changed last week. Our company printer died, so we desperately needed to get some copies of one of our company forms in order to conduct business. It was the morning before Labor Day, so I decided to call Office Depot on the way in. The girl that answered the phone said they didn't open until 10am (it was 9:15am), but then asked what specifically I needed. I felt a bit of optimism -- maybe they would open early to accommodate me! I explained my situation -- that my business too opened at 10am and that I was in a pickle because I needed the forms to operate. Her response -- and I quote, "Oh, copies... yeah, we don't open until 10am." Really? I wonder if her response would have been different if I had said I needed a new computer or something else more costly. Otherwise, why ask? I re-emphasized that I was in a bind and would really appreciate if there was anything she could do. She said she was sorry, but that they didn't open until 10am. No problem. I then asked her if there was any other place nearby -- again re-emphasizing my dilemma -- that could help me out. She told me there wasn't any she could think of. I thanked her anyway and proceeded on to work, figuring I would lose at least an hour of revenue and have to send an employee back to Home Depot at/after 10am. But on my way in, as I drive past Office Depot, what do I see?... a FedEx/Kinkos in the same parking lot, not more than 100 yards away, open for business. I walked in and had my copies within 5 minutes. The bottom line -- the girl at Office Depot should be reprimanded, if not fired. Had she told me about the FedEx location, I would have not only been grateful, but would have continued using Office Depot whenever I needed something -- now I NEVER will. She knew the urgency of my needs and still opted to not help me out in a desperate situation. Must be a Home Depot rule NOT to send someone elsewhere no matter the scenario. read more

We Have been to this store a few times . Today was the worst customer service i got. I return a pack of envelopes and and the clerk counted the envelopes, Understandable, she proceeded to say that envelopes were missing fro the package ... I told her to recount and she gave me attitude.. No problem I understand her position when she recounted she got it right ..no apologies just got my refund which she threw in the counter.. No thank yous either. Then I proceeded to their " full service US postal service" I needed ti to mail six envelopes the clerk also a manager could not figure out the machine , I had to tell her how much each item weighted and .. She seemed to be frustrated and asked me to type my own mailing postal labels ( she said that with an attitude. Any way never going back there again. I hope they realize that a Staples is opening less than a mile away . no customer loyalty here. read more

Those first couple of ratings must have been written by Office Depot. This store should be called Office Despot- it is filthy dirty! I went there to buy a computer table tray and chair. The table trays were covered in a thick layer of dust and dirt- I couldn't even touch them and decided not to buy. The guy asked if I needed help, but when he obviously saw I needed help with the chairs, he walked away. All the merchandise up and down the aisles- covered in dust- all printers, computers, boxed items- plus the floor, walls and elevator- never been cleaned. I left buying nothing and will not go back. If I want dirt, I will go to the park. read more
