I don't know where these negative reviews come from. If they do not have a product at this…read moreparticular store, they will find it at another store and have it shipped for pickup. Selection of off the shelf items is fine. If you are looking for something like a 90 inch TV, they may not have it in stock. Service is good. Almost all of the staff I have talked to are very knowledgeable. While we were there, we had questions about synchronizing e-mail on different devices. A geek squad member helped for about 30 minutes and there was no charge. Standard help from the employees.

I will not be shipping hest buy again…read more We went in to purchase a 700.00 camera kit for our upcoming vacation. They didn't have it set up on the camera stage but said they had one similar to test out before purchase. I went to pick it up and test it out the employee advised not to because the alarm would sound (it was very sensitive) I asked if he could help us find one we could handle so I could test it out. He advised "all of the batteries are dead" I asked him to change them out. He advised the alarm would sound and they didn't have the key to release it and change it out/charge it. Why have cameras up for display and to be tested and not keep up with charging the batteries or changing them out? I asked if I didn't like it after buying it could would they take a return,he advised yes for 14 days. They tried to up sell me on the warranty and didn't even know what it covered, didn't even know what the manufactures warranty covered. Against every cell in my body screaming "walk away and don't buy it" I bought it, only to return it the very next morning. Upon returning it they kept almost a 100.00 of my money for a restocking fee... had I been able to test it out at the store before buying I wouldn't be out 100.00 because I wouldn't have bought it! They have gone downhill and are below subpar for customer service and the condition of their store/what's available to test out before purchase. Save your time/money and order online through another company. Best buy is shit for customer service

Sometimes a store has good vibes and sometimes it doesn't. I was in The Office Max over on Soncy…read moreand got nothing but good vibrations and pleasant helpful employees. I didn't get that sense in this store. When I first walked in the front door I saw they had Sharpie pens on sale for $0.50 each. Score! I grabbed a couple and walked around the store to see if there might be any other school supplies of interest or on sale, found a couple items on the clearance table, got frustrated because there were no prices on many of the items in another clearance area so how are we supposed to know how much they are or if they're really on clearance? I decided since I wasn't spending very much I would double back over and pick up a few more Sharpies. A friend of mine has been trying to get me interested in rock painting and I thought for that price I could experiment and see if I liked it. I don't want to be spending a lot of money if I don't keep doing it. I grabbed one of every primary color, 8 or 10 of them and took them to the front. The girl checking me out was nice enough but she informed me that there was a limit of three on those and pointed to the fine print in the newspaper ad. I told her I didn't see the ad I only saw the sign in front of the pens and asked if she minded if I slipped over to where they were, not too far and check the sign. There was no one in line at that point so it was fine. Sure enough the sign had in little tiny letters limit 3 per customer. Now why do they put it in such tiny letters?? Do they want one person after another to grab a bunch and take them to the counter only to find out they can only get 3 for that price so that the clerks have to be continually putting the pins back? If there's a limit of three they should mark that clearly so people understand. I thanked the girl for her patience before I left. She was apologetic and said if it was up to her she would have sold me all of them $0.50 each so that made me feel better.

On 6/16 I went to look for ink for my new printer. I mention NEW because I was going to need help…read morein finding the correct ink for this printer. There were three people close by, the cashier helping a customer and another employee standing close to them and having a conversation with the customer. I walked closer to them thinking that the extra employee that was conversing could help me. I asked if they could get someone to help me in the ink department. The conversing employee looked my way, clearly annoyed, and said "yes." I asked, "Yes what?" He then told me that the person in charge of ink was busy but as soon as she finished she would help. I went back to the ink department and a short time after, the ink lady came over. She helped me in picking the ink. I asked if I could see peak to a manager about the rude employee. She pointed to the rude employee and said he was a manager. I asked if there was as someone higher than him. I told her about the condencending manner that he had treated me. She said she would report it to the store manager. I wound up not buying anything because a store who has managers that are rude to customers doesn't deserve my business. My experience with other companies is getting managers who are more knowledgeable and friendly than a regular employee. Clearly that is not too he situation at Office Depot
