Don't come to this place. Staff is rude! Outside of this business smells like pure urine and yet the they insist that you stand out there. Staff tells you that it's because of COVID. The thing is, as a business, if that's where you want your customers to stand, then they should maintain it, HOSE IT DOWN, it's really that simple. Don't make your customers stand outside in those conditions . Disgusting establishment that needs to do better by their customers. I love this place it has 2 prices $68.50 for 95 n older vehicles and $58.50 for 96 n newer out the door all tax and certificate include and they do 30 day FREE retest if my car fails. i have been here a few times and it has been easy. I park in one of the parking spaces, i take my registration or my renewal letter and I take it inside the office and I am out in 20 minutes then I go to DMV and now I have too much time on my hands. Is it really necessary for a car that is less than a year old to get a smog check simply because it's from out-of-state? *sigh I checked around the East Bay and most places charge at least $60. If you must get a smog check, I highly recommend these guys. They are friendly, incredibly fast, and cheap. I paid $48.50 (out the door)! And, that's for a REGULAR smog check WITH CERTIFICATION. Quick and friendly service. Went today to get a smog certificate on my 2013 Mini Cooper Countryman that I'm selling. I called beforehand to ask if they could perform the test on my vehicle and if there was a wait. I brought in the $10 off coupon from their website as well. Process was very smooth and transparent. After the test was done, I was given the certificate and my receipt. I was in and out within about 25 mins, and that was with 2 people ahead of me. They say they do price matches but when I went in and told about a lower price somewhere else they started telling me that they charge $8.50 for the certificate and that in the other test station I wouldn't be getting the certificate to take to the DMV. But what they don't tell you is that you don't need the "certificate" because they send the information to the DMV that states whether your car passes or not. So you really don't need the certificate when renewing your registration unless you want to pay $8.50 for a piece of paper stating that your car passed. read more

HOLY MOLY! I have never had such a wonderful experience getting a smog check! That sounds funny, but it's true - listen to this: I procrastinated and waited until the last day. I didn't make an appointment but went in and was in and out in 15 minutes... but that's not all! Did you know they can actually take your payment to DMV for the registration renewal, print you out your new registration AND give you the sticker for your license plate?? It was an additional $35 fee, but paying a day late would have cost me $39, plus they saved me a stamp (or a trip to the DMV). Friendly cashier and above and beyond what I expected. If I could give 0 stars I would. I work for a small delivery company based in Oakland and brought one of our trucks here for a smog. Because of the size of the truck, I had to park across 3 of their parks slots while I went in to speak with someone. An older white man with glasses walked up to me and said "you need to park on the street you're taking up all my spots!" Mind you, there were no customers at the time, except me. I said okay, I just need to get a smog check. He asked what year the vehicle was, I didn't know, it's not mine, but I pulled out the registration to check. He snatched the registration for me and said "hurry up you're wasting my time!" I took the paper back and said I'll take my business elsewhere. He yelled as I walked away "I ASKED YOU TO MOVE YOUR TRUCK LEAVE THEN!" And I drove off. I feel extremely disrespected. I will never come here again and I will be speaking with whoever is in charge. read more
