New bar right around the Yonge and Wellesley area. They seem to be just soft opening and their menu features a list of cocktails inspired by cities around the world. They also have some bar food but I didn't look into it too much as we just came from dinner. I don't really go out for drinks as often, but it seems to be a bit pricey. Though I guess that's the standard cost for cocktails downtown these days. I would've liked some mocktail options given it was a Sunday evening and I really didn't feel like drinking. However they can turn any of the drinks in the menu alcohol-free... but if I'm going to pay that regular price, I might as well have it as it is.
Drinks were okay a bit stronger taste than I prefer and for the cost, I would have expected a bit more decor or wow factor. We had the Jasmine Vineyard and La Fresa but both of them turned out pink and similar tone, which wasn't as exciting. I would've thought Jasmine Vineyard would be green or something but there is a muscat grape in it. They also offer complimentary Bugles chips with the drinks, which is nice... I haven't had those in years, maybe even a decade!
It wasn't too busy on a Sunday evening and I like the relax atmosphere. However, I suppose it is because they just soft opened without much promo (yet). I think if they did some drink specials, this place could be a hit, given the prime location right across from the busy and trendy Hi Bowl. read more
