She has been in the business of hair for a super long time, so she knows what she is talking about. She does a wonderful job with color and cuts. She was my stylist for my wedding as well. Her work is amazing and she is very respectful, professional and wonderful to talk to. Once you find a gem like her for a stylist you never wanna go to another stylist again. The thing I appreciated was her advice to do my hair transformation in two parts. She purposed this idea so that I could see and experience my hair half way short rather than going straight to a full bob and then being stuck with something that I regretted. After 6 weeks of enjoying the first step and feeling no regrets I was so excited for the final cut that ended up being the cutest bob! Madison H clearly understands the importance of her role in helping people like me by giving us what we dream of while being realistic.

She is very talented with what she does and very very attentive to make sure to get you what you want. We always have fun conversations as well. I'm Asian and our hair isn't the easiest to work with. I usually get my hair done when I visit Korea (but then COVID happened) or choose to find a Korean salon here, but I wasn't able to find one in Seattle nearby that lived up to my expectations. I also don't change my hair much - last time I got it chemically treated was almost 3 years ago, which I think makes chemical treatments tricky. Bleaching prior to coloring took a VERY LONG time but Tomoko was very patient with me and made sure we achieved the color I wanted. And despite bleaching for quite a while, I don't feel like my hair was damaged much (if at all). Oh, and oh my god, the head massage while washing my hair was A M A Z I N G. I think it was the best head massage I've ever gotten and I sort of wished I could stay there forever. The salon isn't big, but very well prepped for the pandemic (they check for your temperature prior to entering the salon, ask to wash your hands, everyone wears a mask and currently they don't use a blowdryer to dry your hair to minimize risks - they used a bonnet hood attachment for me) and I felt safe during both my appointments. As for pricing, it definitely isn't cheap but I think the salon lives up to the price and everything is transparent and as listed on their website.

Yuka was so accommodating, and she's great at what she does. They put in a lot of safety measures because of the pandemic, including doing a temperature check, having you wash your hands before you can get service done, and they've also made sure that everything is sparkling clean. I felt safe and well-taken care of the whole time I was here. I'm so excited to have finally found my hairstylist in Seattle! I can't recommend Berry Berry and Yuka enough.

Olivia began thoroughly washing my hair, with a nice scalp massage too. Once done and in the chair, we then discussed the style being I was looking for: long u shaped with lots of layers and face framing pieces. She used only scissors, no razors. Hair was wet and she sectioned off the hair to blow dry and cut. After she was done cutting, she used a flat iron to show me how to style the layers to make it look fresh and full of volume! I spent over $600 at this salon and left with a haircut and color that were both significantly worse than when I arrived. I was initially recommended to Meg by the salon staff, so I trusted that she was an appropriate stylist for what I was asking for. Unfortunately, she ran out of time during my appointment and rushed through the service. My color was left uneven, and her attempt to correct it with a toner was also rushed. When I got home, my hair was visibly uneven in tone and color. The haircut was shocking. One side was approximately four inches longer than the other, and large sections had been chopped into blunt, uneven pieces despite my explicitly asking for that not to be done. It was so poorly cut that I could not wear my hair down. The appointment itself was also unnecessarily uncomfortable. At one point, two people were drying my hair simultaneously, pulling and tugging in opposite directions. It was painful and felt incredibly rushed and chaotic. Even the products I purchased were incorrect. I was given two conditioners instead of a shampoo and conditioner and had to return to exchange them. I immediately contacted the salon about the haircut and color. I was given another appointment with Meg to address the problems, but the correction made things worse: my hair was darkened several shades beyond what I had requested, while the haircut remained visibly uneven. At that point, I contacted the salon multiple times asking for help resolving the situation. I received no response. I eventually called and was told that my concerns would be discussed and that someone would contact me the following day. That was three days ago. Still nothing. This is what I find most unacceptable. Mistakes happen. What matters is how a business handles them. I was willing to give this salon a second chance, willing to have them correct the work, and willing to communicate directly to resolve the situation. Instead, after spending more than $600, I was essentially ignored. The combination of poor workmanship and a complete lack of follow-through from the salon is unacceptable at this price point. I would strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere if you are looking for a salon that stands behind its work and responds when a customer has a legitimate problem.

I paid a lot and tipped very well just for it to look like an amateur cut my hair. Don't come here. I regret coming here as I looked better with my dead ends. I could've cut my own hair better which I have. This was supposed to be a pick me up to make me feel beautiful now 2 days later I am in regret not feeling like how I should and wanted. Sooooo expensive and terrible results. Also they could've been friendlier. I felt she got tired blow drying my hair. They are supposed to be knowledgeable in long, thick hair, curly hair, wavy hair. I wanted to choose this stylist due to her good reviews but I really cannot recommend her or this salon. I don't like leaving bad reviews but I am distraught. I hired OffWhite for hair styling on my wedding day this past May. Nicole arrived on-time and was so sweet and friendly to me, my mom and all my bridesmaids. She really knocked it out of the park with all of our hair styles and we felt so beautiful. She even pinned fresh flowers in my hair in the exact way I envisioned. She also literally saved the day -- Nicole volunteered to drive my house keys back to Seattle so a friend could retrieve my wedding binder (marriage license, certificates, banquet permits, and reception lay-outs) that I had accidentally left behind. She volunteered to do this without asking and it meant so, so much to me that she would do that for us. I just really wanted to commend her because we wouldn't have been able to get the precious photos signing the certificate or knew the reception layout if she hadn't done that. All of the staff I interacted with to set up the appointment were also so sweet and really professional; I would definitely recommend OffWhite to any future brides! :) read more

Off White is totally FAB! I called Megan 8 days before my wedding because I had already had 2 bad trials and decided I would have a friend do my hair and makeup. After my 2 bad trials, I was given her card by some random lady in my building that had used her when she got married and it was amazing. My hair was so natural and romantic and I loved that she used AVEDA because that is what I use at home. The other times I had it done my hair was crunchy and the curls were too tight! The airbrush looked flawless and I NEVER wear makeup. My husband was even surprised. Megan is very talented at what she does and I am so glad I found her. I worked with the owner, Megan, to coordinate logistics, a proposal (with multiple revisions on my end due to changing the number of people getting ready), and setting all of my appointments -- she was super patient, helpful, and friendly. I had an amazing experience with Off White and especially with Megan. She did the makeup and hair for my September 12th wedding and it turned out so well. I went to two other people before finally finding Megan and after having both of the other trials go the way they did, I am so glad I kept looking. The airbrush makeup she uses is unlike anything I have ever had done to me and it lasted all day... even through all my tears. Megan is a super easy going and a flexible lady to work with. Calli did my make up, which was OK. But, she came with a hair stylist who didn't even pin my hair properly. I was alone with no friend or family member with me, and I realized that she didn't even finish what she committed. I understand that you have got other appointments too but in my case you were left with more than enough time to be able to spend at least 10 minutes more to fix my hair properly. Being in rush isn't professional ! You were in rush throughout. I was disappointed that I had a messy looking hair on such an important day of my life. I found Angalina and Megan through a co-worker who had her hair and makeup done by these ladies for her wedding. I had a consultation with the girls and they were very professional and well organized! They also did a great job at answering all my questions regarding the day of the wedding. She did my hair and makeup, including the flower arrangement in my hair, put on my husband and his best man's bout and even zipped up my dress! I hired kendra in March for a December wedding. She charged me the full cost of service as a…read morenon-refundable which I now know is an unethical business practice. She books trials too close to the date, so when the trial went sideways, I had to add a to do to the busy planning, which wasn't ideal. Kendra seems to have a one size fits all approach to makeup, and she doesn't listen. She has a heavy handed approach to application (see her instagram). She is condescending and makes little snide comments that are little biting insults. When I mentioned that my eyebrows were way too dark and overdone, her response "eyebrows are a non-negotiable"... umm, wth is that about? Anyway, upon calling other artists, it seems that Kendra has quite the reputation with her peers. They've heard my story from other folks that have attempted to work with Kendra. Recently, Kendra has announced that she is "mostly" retiring from makeup application, but beware that she is still hiring out makeup artists under her KLS business. There are numerous other capable professionals in the area, and I would highly recommend looking to them if you have any interest in natural and flattering makeup. I gave kendra the opportunity to make this right with a partial refund, which she chose to ignore.

The girls brought images of what they wanted for hair and make-up and Kendra did a great job with that! We all got so many compliments on the make-up and everyone looked gorgeous thanks to Kendra. She is so talented and I am incredibly happy that I booked her for my wedding!

She took the time to recommend products that would help diminish them as well as products to cover. I'm not really a hair and makeup girl and…read moreI knew I would feel really uncomfortable having lots of people comment on my outfit, which is to be expected if you're the bride. I knew I would be super stressed trying to do it myself, even though I had a small and fairly casual wedding, therefore, it was the one thing I was willing to splurge on. So I chose Hanna based on 1) the pictures of women here and on her site looked like actual, lovely women and not weird dolls and 2) 5-star reviews. My experience: My wedding was plagued with rather insensitive visiting in laws (example, showed up two hour late for our wedding breakfast, and then "joking" that I was rude for running out the door to get my nails done. Also texted us at 8:00 am the day AFTER our wedding - ummm, honeymoon anyone? to find out where we were going to meet them for breakfast...anyway). So unexpectedly, I was a bit stressed and a few minutes late coming back for my make up appointment by the time Hanna arrived (SHE was exactly on time). I had e-mailed some ideas to her previously and all of our communications were pleasant and prompt. But in person was even nicer. Instantly in her presence on that stupid stressful day I started to relax, she was calm, smiling and ready to work. Even though I made us start late (so sorry!!) she didn't give me any grief for it and got it all done on time. I needed that so much. And she's just a nice person. She kept chatting in a soft voice to my curls while she was pinning them up..."Okay curl, you tell me how you would like to sit, okay, like that? Oh you look nice now"...it was crazy soothing. In the end, I got so many compliments on my hair and makeup that I really should have taken some cards for her to hand out to the crowd. But most importantly, my groom, who always sees me sans makeup, really loved it. The look stayed put all night and the best part was that when I finally unpinned my hair, she had done something that made it look cute down too - so bonus, two more days of wedding hair awesomeness before I washed it out! The only thing I would have done differently would be to spring for the trial run, so that the day of my wedding I would have been excitedly anticipating the look, instead of being kind of worried it would be weird (it was so not weird!).

She sent us her makeup artist Latecia for my engagement pictures last year and I was blown away that I asked Hanna if I could hire Latecia for my wedding (July 2024). I hired 2 makeup/hair stylists and realized maybe I need one more. It is so close to the wedding that I knew it may not happen but Hanna worked her magic and got us a 3rd person. I will continue to tell people about her company and how amazing she is to work with. 16 days till the wedding and I don't have to stress about how my bridal party or myself will look and that's a fantastic feeling to have.

I sadly moved and couldn't see her anymore. She precisely isolates each and every lash to ensure proper technique. She doesn't use too much glue or not enough so they fall off. Rachel is always kind, gracious and on time. She stands behind her products and work. Her space is always clean, sanitized and refreshed after each client.
