Been here twice now. Over a year ago a woman cut my hair that no longer works here. I like that they have you ring a bell and then they buzz you in for safety. Beverages are offered and they use great products. However my second visit was just a few days ago with Sarah. What I asked for I got the complete opposite. She gave me a blow out so my hair looked beautiful leaving but the next day washing it seeing my natural waves and curls and really inspecting the cut. I look a bit chopped. The front was not face framing instead she gave me 4 steps. The front is uneven and choppy as heck. My hair is gone so no way to fix that and wouldn't trust her to fix it tbh so I have to take an expensive loss. I cried all night yesterday just looking at the front pieces. Just embarrassing. I paid a lot and tipped very well just for it to look like an amateur cut my hair. Don't come here. I regret coming here as I looked better with my dead ends. I could've cut my own hair better which I have. This was supposed to be a pick me up to make me feel beautiful now 2 days later I am in regret not feeling like how I should and wanted. Sooooo expensive and terrible results. Also they could've been friendlier. I felt she got tired blow drying my hair. They are supposed to be knowledgeable in long, thick hair, curly hair, wavy hair. I wanted to choose this stylist due to her good reviews but I really cannot recommend her or this salon. I don't like leaving bad reviews but I am distraught. I came in at 9:00 AM for a blowout with Anthony and specifically requested smooth, flat roots with no volume. I also paid for extended time because I disclosed when booking that I have very thick hair. Anthony was pleasant, but at the end my roots were still puffy. When I asked about it, he told me, "I wish I had more time to flat iron your roots, but I have another client coming up." Instead, a large amount of wax/product was applied to try to flatten my hair. When I brought this up to the receptionist, she told me blowouts don't include hot tools. She also checked Anthony's schedule after I mentioned his comment about another client, and there didn't appear to be anyone immediately after me. For being over $100, I expected the service to be tailored to the look I requested, especially after paying for extra time. Unfortunately, I left disappointed and am now back at my hotel trying to fix my hair myself. What a waste. read more

I know people make mistakes so this isn't meant to shame anyone! But I came in for a layered long haircut and left with something that looks very different to me. I did point it out while in the chair and he said "yeah I'm trying to figure out how I can fix that" and "we do have a 2 week grace period". So a little choked up I paid my $140, tipped $20 out of courtesy, and left. Took a closer look at home and I was a little heartbroken. I've been growing my natural hair out for almost 2 years and it's going to stink having to grow these bangs out again. I called and spoke to the front desk (super nice and receptive) and told them about it and they said there are no refunds but free fixes. So she asked if I wanted to see Landon and I kindly declined. My thought process was if he didn't quite know how to fix it before, I would probably be best off with someone else. So she put me on a brief hold and then came back and said she could do a certain date/time with Landon. Felt like I wasn't fully being heard, so I just called it quits and am going somewhere else. I'm new to Seattle, and was nervous about who to go to for this haircut. I had my hair cut as well as a bleach and tone by Miranda. First off, the Salon is beautiful and just has a relaxing vibe. They have drinks! The front desk is cheerful and always helpful. One lady at the front desk, Ava? I think? Total pro. Miranda always does an amazing job. My hair very short and few people cut it short enough. Miranda always cuts it perfectly. The real one though is the color. I need a very cool blond or else it looks yellow and Miranda has perfected it. I got a repair curly cut today from Ashely, and I can't recommend her or the service enough! Ashely is incredibly kind and easy to be around, and she truly listened to each of my specific requests with my hair (like not taking off too much bulk here, layers there, etc.) and personalized my haircut with my preferences, style inspos, and hair type/current state of hair health in mind. I also appreciate that she held off on cutting too much off on layers at first, then let me decide if I wanted to take more off later. She is a stylist that I truly trust. Also, I asked her SO many questions about curly hair, products, my hair type etc. and she was very helpful and had great recommendations. As far as this service, it is so worth it and feels luxurious. Especially if you are new to curly hair, don't know how to style it, or have never had a curly cut before (this was my first one). You start with cutting your hair (dry of course), then washing, treatment, wet styling, diffusing, and then additional cutting as needed once it's dry and styled and you can see how everything lays. It was so relaxing to sit under the bowl diffuser (they give you free beverages too), and she walks you through exactly how she's wet styling your hair as you go. They have an easy online booking service, and the option to have a silent session (no chatting and just relaxing if you prefer) which made me want to book here. Sensa salon has great customer service but unfortunately they just missed the mark on the actual service itself. I paid almost $900 and still didn't get the result I wanted. My first appointment was in June with Anthony, he had a great personality but maybe the job was just too big for him. My hair resulted in blonde instead of light brown and the blending was very spotty. He did work on my hair for almost 6 hours and noticed he was tired toward the end so i appreciated the effort. I tried to reach out to him about the color being lighter than discussed but didn't get word back. Finally I reached out to the salon and they got back to me very quickly and offer a complimentary color correction appointment. I was so thrilled and appreciative that they wanted to make things right. I went in for my second appointment and got a new stylist, again the stylist had a great personality and I explained to her the issues and the importance of how this would be my engagement hair. After the appointment I felt better with my hair being darker but the color was still flat and lacked dimension. I was just happy I wasn't blonde anymore! Comparing it to the inspo photos, it didn't quite hit the mark. At this point I don't think I will color my hair again with them and my hair does have A LOT of damage now but I did appreciate the efforts and attentiveness. They even gifted me a goodie bag and hand written sorry letter. The customer service was great but the service itself could use improvement! BLONDES AND LONG HAIRED GIRLIES, PLEASE SEE ALEX! This is my first yelp, but I HAVE to commend Alex Serna and Sensa salon for their service and effort. I've never done anything to my hair aside from small trims at home for 24 years. It reaches my tailbone in length, theres a ton of it (especially at the back of my head), and it is naturally curly/wavy so it is quite a mane to work with. Salons intimidated me for a while because I feel like stylists dread a girl who wants to keep her length. It's a lot of work and I totally understand that. To start, the front desk made me feel so so comfortable. They were cheerful, happy to explain, and definitely helped me with the consultation process. They have such a nice little family vibe there and I had multiple people (stylists and receptionists) compliment my hair when I arrived! When I met with Alex he proposed two options at the consultation. I could do a hand painted technique which would get me a more natural, sun kissed result (his recommendation because I had never gotten my hair done before) OR a full head of foils to get that WOW factor blonde. He didn't bat an eye when I said I wanted to go for it and get my whole head BARBIE BLONDE without losing ANY LENGTH. He stood for 7+ hours (until near 10pm) and didn't sacrifice technique or quality despite the amount of hair he was working with. I felt so heard and understood and he gave me the exact color from my inspo photos in ONE SESSION. I think what I appreciated most was how eager and excited he was to give me the results I wanted instead of dreading or scrutinizing me for how much work my head of hair would be. Putting virgin, long hair in the hands of a stranger is so scary, but I'm really glad I had such a positive first experience!
