Kanaka (3 scoop): limu, daily special, and most popular spicy aioli

Authentic Hawaiian food here, coming from a Hawaiian local. While I ate here, I realized all the workers and customers are also locals from Hawaii. The restaurant has the Hawaiian flag up with island music in the back. The workers speak pidgin which just takes me home and makes me miss it! The poke combo was so ono. You can choose two sides with the kanaka, and I chose Mac salad and cucumber kimchee. They even have spam musubis, butter mochi, ube cheesecake and all the aloha drinks to go with your meal. Seatings limited and has two tables that fit four but it's cozy. I'm coming back no doubt. I love it here!

First time at OG Poke. We arrived at 11:30 to make sure they didn't run low on anything. The place was extremely small, with only two tables inside. Ordering was done at the counter and then you sit down if you're lucky or take it home. I got a Hawaiian Plate (off menu) plus a pound of Poke to go. After tax, it came to $63.08. Given that it was 2 1/2 meals for me helped but it was still steep. The service was outstanding and I hope everyone gets that level of service. My son in law is Hawaiian, so he bonded right away with them. The 7620 E McKellips Rd, Ste 13, Scottsdale, AZ 85257 Plate came with two scoops of rice, one scoop of macaroni salad, a portion of Lau Lau, and a heaping portion of Kailua pork. It was all very well prepared, good portions and freshly made. The poke was fresh, with good portions and clever flavors.

We got two medium bowls and the food here is heavy. We probably need one medium bowl to share next time. The fish is cut into huge and juicy pieces. There are many options of pokes and sides to choose from, creamy or zesty. They are freshly made in the back. Butter mochi cake is moist and not too sweet.

Don't be fooled by the location. Perfect place for OG Poke off the street. Poke bowls are fulfilling and ono!!! Perfect taste just like home! Always greeted when you come in with friendly staff to serve you! The ambiance is giving ALOHA SPIRIT! Local kine grindz!! Always 10/10 recommend!!! Real poke island style!!

If you want mora authentic poke bowls this is the spot. Small little place make it feel mora authentic. The food is delicious and very fresh for AZ. The service is very friendly and down to earth. Will be returning to try more on the menu.

I'm so excited to have a more authentic poke spot in AZ, finally! Counter-style poke is my favorite so I immediately went on a Sunday afternoon to give it a try. The staff is definitely learning still since the place is pretty new, although already bustling and busy. Although we didn't have too many people ahead of us, ordering did take some time. My husband and I both ordered medium poke bowls and were able to sub out a scoop of rice for an extra side for $3. For the quantity of food and fish I didn't find the price unreasonable. The Mac salad, rice, and seaweed salad were standard and about what I would expect. I tried out the spicy ahi poke which was mayo based and also the furikake ahi poke. The fish quality was alright --some of the fish pieces were a little bit tough while others were more or the melt-in-your-mouth consistency I prefer. There were a couple gristle bits as well and some of the cutting was a little uneven. However, the flavors were good. Since this is the only spot in AZ I think it will do well and I would return if I was in the area. Highly recommend trying it out!

10/10 poke bowl, tastes just like home (Hawaii) I did add my own furikake not sure if they put on when requested. I got the largest bowl, great portions. If you're ever craving a poke bowl, this is the spot to go to. Great service, they also sell other small snacks from Hawaii and juice inside.

Excellent poke and rice bowls. Very authentic hole in the wall. Super small with two tables, but the vibe is on point. The food is fresh and they're very friendly.

I cannot believe we finally have authentic poke near ASU Came here with my girlfriend for lunch. I paid $24 for the large (3 scoops of fish, 2 rice, 2 sides) and I am genuinely so full I don't know if I can have dinner. The portion sizes are huge (this is a major plus given how overpriced things in the area have gotten) and everything is delicious. We also got the ube cheesecake (and, against my stomach's pleas, tried a few forkfuls of it) which was tasty and the crust was great. The mac salad was also incredibly flavorful and had a great texture, it was sort of like a combo of mac and potato salad? I don't really know how to describe it, but get it. The fish itself was fresh and tender, and the sauce on it was tasty. I got spicy aioli, spicy shrimp, and the spicy avo tuna. The avocado was the best, but I recommend all 3! At checkout we also received samples of the butter mochi, which I will be getting next time. I have had plenty of mochi but nothing like that, it had this homemade taste and feel in the best way. We took everything to go, but it was nice inside. They have all the different flavors/entrees in different labeled bins so you can see what it looks like, and there's a couple places to sit. I've had some really good Hawaiian style poke in SD, and nothing here has compared besides Hapa Food. The staff are super friendly (and even offered samples multiple times!) and efficient, which made coming here for lunch very doable. Will definitely be returning when I'm craving poke!

Everything was AMAZING! Poke is fresh and flavorful! Staff was friendly and fast. Definitely worth the visit. Recommending them to everyone. We will be back!

All local workers! Authentic as it gets, not that mainland poke bowl style where you add any kind. This place is mayjuh closest to home! 10/10

This is the small poke. Very generous portions.

Great food, great people. If you want true Hawaiian aloha, this is the place. Generous portions and fresh food! Also have plate lunches in addition to their poke selection.

This past Sunday, Mother's Day 2026, I stopped in around 3:45 to pick up dinner with chicken teriyaki, beef bugolgi, tempura shrimp, white rice, and green salad. It was the only meal of the day that we each ate from the same establishment. After I ordered, I heard the guy cooking complain to the cashier girls up front that it would be awhile, but they didn't repeat the concerns to me, so I didn't pay it any mind. Overnight, Sunday night/ Monday morning, my wife and I both became violently ill. I think maybe that chicken that was gonna take too long to cook, wasn't cooked all the way. It doesn't matter how many times I've eaten here in the past without incident. That was an absolutely terrible experience, and I won't risk it happening again, just because the cook wants to get out of work early. I will never eat here again.

Wife order the coconut shrimp plate along with their mac salad and I had the bulkogi plate with mac salad. I also ordered a side of fried won ton. I think overall the quality of the food isn't what it used to be although I will say was good today. My bulgogi had some tough, grisly pieces of beef, which is to be expected due to the cut but I've also had this dish elsewhere and found it to be really tender and juicy...not so much today. The fried won ton or ok but again, I remember them being filled with more filling and thought these were a tad over fried. The coconut shrimp was good and it came with some teriyaki chicken as well. Overall a good meal and we will come again!

I'm mourning the loss of what used to be not only AZ's best fish tacos and freshest poke, but also their S tier fries. Reading some of the reviews I thought it was just a change in name only. Unfortunately the recipes and food quality has changed as well. When I first moved here from Hawaii, I was resigned to the fact the most restaurants in AZ just didn't have the capacity to serve seafood as great as the islands. That was until I visited Coconuts at the old FLW and Scottsdale location. I continued to eat there as well as their new Shea location and also the location on Mayo, always eating consistently great fish tacos and poke. I would bring friends and family there who also enjoyed the fresh ingredients that reminded them of home. Surprisingly the fries on the side were also a standout but now the recipe changed and now taste just like every other takeout restaurant which is a shame. I know a lot of Hawaiian restaurants with fish tacos and poke have opened up in the area in the last few years, but Coconuts was always my go to for fresh fish and tacos and even their fries. I can't say the same about Maui fish tacos and will have to find somewhere else. On the plus side, the servers were excellent and friendly and they rightfully deserve some praise.

They also gave a lot of the bbq meat. He ran out of rice so I gave him some of mine . I ordered an Aloha Plate Combo which is a 2 choice plate from a set list and toss salad instead of mac. I got the Shrimp & Island Fire Chicken. The shrimp was okay, panko fried. The island fire chicken was a sautéed chicken with onions in a spicy sauce. It was an okay plate, nothing that really wowed. There was so much sauce on the chicken, it was hard to tell how much chicken there actually was. I also ordered 2 spam musubi for the plane as we had an early flight the next day. The rice was dry so the musubi kind of fell apart. It was recommended to eat wirh the Katsu sauce so I had a small cup in the container. It was a lot better with the sauce.
