Pretty good spot for Hawaiian food in downtown Phoenix! Mac salad is super filling and perfect meal for the middle of the day.

Came here on opening day which was on a Monday. This place is located in downtown Phoenix in the midst of lots of businesses, close to CVS. This was my first time at any Mo' Bettahs Hawaiian food location. I was born and raised in Hilo, Hawaii. You can't get any more local than that. I love Hawaiian food and this place is legit, very authentic, it's the real deal. I ordered a plate lunch with teriyaki chicken and teriyaki steak which comes with white rice and mac salad on a bed of shredded cabbage. Also ordered another plate lunch for later which was chicken katsu and kahlua pork served with the same sides. Service was smooth, you basically get in line and let them know what sides you want first: options are rice, Mac salad, or vegetables and you get choose. Next, another person takes your protein order: choices of chicken, steak, or pork in various flavors. Last person rings you up and that's it, very easy and fast. Inside was very chill and laid back just like how it is back home. They are super friendly, professional and prompt even though it was busy. I would definitely recommend this place and I also recommend signing up for their free rewards program. The more you visit the more points you get for free food. This place is Yelp Elite approved !!!

We came at 9:30 at night, half an hour before closing. We got two regular plates and she added the rice and Mac. After she scooped them, she let us know they were out of chicken, which is what we wanted! She said we could come back at a later day. We re quite far from downtown so we decided to get the pork and crispy chicken, because the steak was extra and it was the leftover bits from the day. She used a scale for the portions which is nice. We got it to go, and they validated our parking in the basement for us which was super nice. The food however was disappointing. The pork was soooo salty it's almost inedible. The Mac salad has wayyy tooo much pepper. The best part was the crispy chicken and rice.

They finally made it to AZ first tried them in Utah! Love the place. I was the first customer for today. Greeted upon arrival, food was weighed and loaded! Complete plus they had options for Hawaiian sun drinks. Hawaiian decorated and nice booths and tables. Self- serve drinks station.

Really get a bang for your buck here! Everything was so delicious!! Andrea helped me out and was very kind! Very clean environment as well and good music

So glad Mo'Bettahs moved in to this new spot. Excellent food, fantastic value for amount and quality of food you get, vibe, and top notch service. Shout out to Joyce, Trent, and Zeliah (not sure if that's spelled right) - you all are great!

Great option for Hawaiian food in Arizona. Service was quick and was a clutch late night food spot for my son on a baseball trip.

The food was good, but they charge 99 cents if you want a small cup for tap water. That is bizarre and inappropriate.

They also gave garlic chicken that tastes like mochiko chicken , guava cake and malasadas!!!! I tried their garlic shrimp and it was AMAZING. It definitely hit my craving for some Hawaiian garlic shrimp. Love the garlic rice & ofc the sweet Hawaiian mac salad. They also seemed to have won best Hawaiian Food in AZ 2024 I can't wait to come back to try their kalbi and ahi poki. It's tucked away in the corner of a strip mall, and I've probably passed it a gazillion times and never even noticed it was there. My friend had called the day before to see if there was anything gluten-free on the menu. They were so helpful when we showed up. They had remembered her call and could tell her exactly what was gluten free. This is a very casual order at the counter kind of place. The dining room is simple, but that's okay because the focus is on the yummy food. They have single plates and double plates on the menu. I got a plate that had kalbi and kalua pork. It was served with white rice, macaroni salad, and kimchi. It was amazing! The pork tasted Smoky and delicious, the kalbi beef had just the right amount of sweetness to it. The macaroni salad was also perfect. I got quite a bit of food for my money. I was able to make it into two meals because there was no way I was going to finish it in one sitting. I really like Hawaiian food, and this one is so much better than some of the chain restaurants. It's slightly more in price, but it's 100% worth it. We sat and talked for a couple hours at least. While we were sitting, there was a period when every table was taken. So it does seem like quite a few people know about this place and come. I highly recommend it!
