Wanted to try a new poke place and took both my boys and we were not disappointed. We tried 3 different bowls which were all great. The fish was fresh and they gave plenty. The staff was friendly and helped my boys who although they like poke weren't familiar with a few of the options. They also offered each of us a free miso soup along with one of the baked salmon balls which were really tasty. We went very early, not long after they opened and I can say it was steadily busy the entire time we were there. Take out orders and other guests filled all of the other tables while we dined and the place had a neighborly hang out type of atmosphere. Great find not far from home. This is one of the best poke places in Arizona! For poke in Arizona, this is as good as it gets! Inside is nothing fancy, and it's primarily quick in and out or take out. They offer all the standard stuff and the prices are fairly reasonable. The nice thing is that you have the option of customizing. The workers made no fuss when I came 10 minutes before closing. read more

Delicious and fresh poke! They have bowls that you can choose from or you can build your own. I built my own bowl so that I can add in all the toppings and sauces I want. I love how they have a variety of toppings to choose from. They have drinks and desserts. Indoor seating available. They have rolls and sashimi so will definitely have to try that out next time. I came here after my doctors appointment, I have a few chronic illnesses that cause brain fog so I was standing at the front just aimlessly staring at the menu. The girl in the front was really patient with me and explained how to order. Mind you I have had poke before but I literally couldn't think. She made the process easy for me. The gentleman at the front was greeting everyone as soon as they would walk in and saying goodbye which isn't as common anymore. As someone that has worked sales and customer service my whole life I can definitely appreciate that. On to the food, my bowl was fresh and the girl gave me generous portion sizes. They also give first time customers a free miso soup! The only thing I would change is giving samples. I wanted to try a different poke but since I wasn't able to I stuck to my usual. I would give this place a try if you're craving poke. read more

I am OBSESSED with this poke place - hands down one of the best poke in the valley. Everything is so fresh, good flavor, excellent combination of ingredients. Super quick place that's great if you're looking for takeout sushi their sushi is so fresh and tasty. I love the California roll and the crispy onion roll. The only downside is they don't often provide spicy mayo or eel sauce on the side and if they do, they will charge you extra for it. I love to stop here and pick up sushi on my way home. They also are on Uber eats and are so quick. Service is fast and efficient. read more

I came here for the first time today because I happened to be in the area and looked up the best poke near me- Gosan was the first result and I absolutely see why now. The people working there are so kind and helpful with what selections go with what, and the fish was incredibly fresh- which is hard to come by in Arizona. Everything inside was clean and organized, and they happened to have my favorite flavor of Miyako which was a nice surprise. What a disgrace I am for not making a review of this lovely place sooner. This is my absolute FAVORITE poke place I've been to in all of my world travels. The portions are so large with great flavors and the most kind staff. I take all of my friends and family here and they are all hooked as well. My go to is the 3 proteins, one Hawaiian tuna and two of the creamy wasabi(trust me it's incredible). Miso soup is also free with your purchase. Love love love this place, I have lost count of how many times I've actually been...but it's a lot. If you like poke, you must go here. read more

My husband and I stopped by Gosan on a Sunday around 2 PM for a late lunch, and we're so glad we did! He ordered a custom spicy tuna poke bowl, while I went with the shrimp tempura roll -- both were absolutely delicious. The ingredients tasted incredibly fresh, and the shrimp tempura was perfectly crispy and flavorful. The owner surprised us with complimentary miso soup, which was such a thoughtful touch and made our meal feel even more special. The service was impressively quick -- my roll was prepared beautifully and tasted just as good as it looked! About halfway through our meal, the owner came by again and treated us to Samanco ice cream sandwiches, on the house. It's rare to find that level of generosity these days, and it really made our visit memorable. Beyond the fantastic food and service, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. You can truly tell that the owner and team take pride in what they do and enjoy creating a positive experience for their guests. Big portions served with style - also served with a slice of watermelon while you wait! Plus their always handing you freebies as well. The food is amazing. We are avid poke bowl lovers. I went out of my way to drive here due to the reviews and I was not at all disappointed! The food was immaculate with so many yummy choices. We had the salmon balls, miso soup, 3 protein DIY bowls, and fish ice cream (Taiyaki) to close. Setting is casual and clean. Chousei treated my family and I like royalty! Although Gosan is priced higher than other poke spots, the fish and marinades have greater quality. The menu consists of sashimi, rolls, and poke bowls. There are preselected combinations but I always enjoyed making my own. The staff have always been kind and the scoops are generous. =POKE= There were standard bases of white rice, brown rice and salad. Besides the plain versions, the fish came with either a mayo, sweet or spicy marinade. The hot spicy albacore and tuna had a red chili forward profile that brought in the heat. Hawaiian tuna was a mixture of salty and sweet. The creamy wasabi tuna was mayo forward and surprisingly sweet, not my favorite as the wasabi fails to stand out. The scallops are my personal favorite as these plump mollusks soak up the sweet creamy sauce well. I was happy to see a decent selection of vegetables and fruits. Seaweed salad and imitation crab weren't priced extra. Avocado cost more to add on. Although there are sauces available, I wouldn't recommend adding on more given the high liquid content and flavorful marinades already. The sauces primarily had a soy or sriracha base. Very fast service and a perfect spot for lunch or dinner. Seafood has always been fresh and I love the ingenuity of the marinades. read more

I usually go to Poke Eats in Chandler, but they're closed on Sundays and figured I'd give this place a try. I ordered a build your own bowl and miso soup. The poke bowl looked like it was slopped together. I will say that I added a lot of stuff, which I likely wouldn't have done if I knew the container would've been smaller and it would've been stuffed inside. The poke bowl itself was $25 with everything I added. I also got miso soup which was really good. The worker was nice and my ordered was ready upon pickup time. Maybe the experience would be different if you ordered in person and ate there. I don't recommend placing an online order. The salmon was good but the creamy wasabi tuna was dark brown and chewy. As good as always! I have when restaurants drop their food quality, but Gosan is always good, always the same- which is super awesome. With a Chipotle like build to your hearts content along with a few special bowls, I decided to go with a build your own. For my base I got white rice and salad. And for my scoops I got the spicy shrimp and tuna. To add even more heat I got the creamy spicy sauce. They were super generous with this sauce, so my mouth was burning a little bit with each bite, but it was so delicious! Such a yummy way to end the day!

As for pricing, it can be a little pricey...averaging about $20 but to be fair, it is seafood...so you'd expect it to be pricey. Overall, I will continue coming to this location for poke. I split it with him (because they put plenty in one bowl) and had white rice, salmon, tuna, spicy mayo, their house sauce, cucumbers, green onion, edamame, avocado, furikake, sesame seeds, and wanton strips in our bowl. This is one of my favorite ways to eat healthy and delicious food. My only regret? Not adding more veggies! Because I probably would've enjoyed them! The man taking our order was very fast and efficient and chill. Their bathroom and dining room was clean. My only complaint is that my husband mentioned that the salmon was slimy, which I noticed when we were adding ingredients to our bowl. The salmon had that white film for when it's been sitting out for a little bit. Also, I dislike paying extra for avocado. But all things considered, this place had GREAT food that I was able to split (or nail the whole thing because it's so tasty) for around $16. ...I'll probably be back!

However, the usual spot I recently ate at for all you can eat sushi had shut down...I did remember watching a video about the sushi challenge for Crazy Tuna on TikTok awhile ago and I was amazed...But I didn't want to attempt and be pictured in the hall of shame. So I came here. "How are we doing so far?" I showed up during the evening and was greeted by the hostess and they kindly showed me how to order. It was pretty similar to other all you can eat sushi spots but this location does not use a tablet to order which I liked. The ambiance was dark but well lit. It was quite cozy while I ate alone. "How are we doing so far here?" I glanced over the menu and saw a plentiful amount of sushi rolls and nigiris...but I lately I've been enjoying handrolls...On their menu there was not an option for handrolls so I asked a kind, attentive server about it and they said "just mark HR next to the one you'd like". So I ordered 3 spicy tuna handrolls and miso soup for the first round. I did not wait too long for my food to arrive. The quality of the food was delightful and fresh. I really enjoyed the "How are we here?" sushi rice; it had a nice vinegary taste to it. Besides the sushi hand rolls I also ordered some specialty rolls which I unfortunately do not remember the name of...but it was delicious. The miso soup was pretty standard for its taste, nothing too special. While eating I did notice that the service was odd...but I was not annoyed by it...Some servers would stop by my table to check up on me frequently and ask "How are we doing so far?" Maybe they had a complaint about their service l? Who knows? This kind of service was quite funny to me but I still enjoyed my food. Overall, Crazy Tuna will be my go to spot for all you can eat sushi in Chandler. The price is reasonable, the service is top notch and very attentive, and the atmosphere is cozy. Service was slow even with being one of 3 tables in there, we had to wait a while to put our first order in, and flag someone down to get our bill even with multiple servers standing around chatting. As many reviewers mentioned they changed their rice I went in with an open mind however as many mentioned the rice completely changes the flavor of the sushi. The black/purple rice is not optional and it's not as sticky as their previous rice and has hard pieces in it. This was my go-to spot but I am not sure that I will back soon with the changes made.

Since they were cleaning up, they still had stuff to do, which allowed us to enjoy the experience without feeling rushed. Food (N/A): We had dinner prior so we were just there for drinks. They were nice enough to provide us with some free chips and salsa even though we were just having drinks. Two salsas, with one being a little too spicy for my taste. I can only handle a little kick. Good chips. I'll definitely have to come back for their food! Drinks (5/5): I appreciate it when a bar offers quality drinks that are creative. You'll find that at The Mexicano. Naturally, I went with the margarita flight which allows you to try four different frozen margs (prickly pear, lime, peach, and one more that's escaping me). And that's not all. They have a self-serve candy bar where you can add gummy bears, sour worms, and a variety of other candies to your margaritas. How cool! I've never seen anyone do this. If that wasn't enough, they have an all-day happy hour, every day of the week. I also haven't seen anything like that. Chef Joey is a genius! We went on a weekday afternoon, and it wasn't that busy. The shop overall is on the smaller side; they have minimal tables for seating but quite a few chairs for you while waiting for your order. I went to Poke Bar a lot because it was my favorite poké place out of every one in AZ and was shocked when the one on ray road changed it's name and menu; however, I was even more shocked to find that I love this place more than ever before after ordering! One thing I can say for sure, Kevin the owner, is the nicest human being I've ever met. First time I went in Gosan was with my brother and they hit it off really well. After introducing ourselves and learning a little more about the company (we learned Gosan is the name of Kevin's son), Kevin gave us free crunchy sushi rolls and salmon rolls. He told us the salmon is directly imported from Scottland and I can say it's the Best salmon I've had (and I've had a lot of salmon in my life, it's my favorite fish)! I was just overall ecstatic about this place ever since that first experience, will be coming back any time I'm in the mood for poké or sushi (which is a lot )! read more

I order from here quite frequently, usually through Door Dash because I usually order for my lunch break. I've left them a couple positive reviews on the door dash app, but I wanted to leave a review here as well. This place makes phenomenal poke bowls. In the MANY times that I have ordered from them, I have never been disappointed. The portion sizes are great, the food is always fresh, and everything tastes just so darn good. In comparison to some other places too, I think Gosan's prices are more affordable. Some places are very expensive and for less portions too. Gosan, don't change what you're doing, I love your food and you will always be my go-to for a poke lunch! read more

We were there in mid July with 115 outside and they only had multiple cooling fans blowing inside the restaurant. This was our first time trying Hon Machi, we will not be back. Don't waste your time or money and avoid this place.

It was also a great value. The lunch combo with four items was only $20 and included the one pictured below with two rolls, edamame and salmon teriyaki as well as a side salad and miso soup. Our servers were very kind but the service was slow. Our drinks had to wait a while to be filled and we kept having to flag them down to ask for more sauce trays, forks, refills, and the bill. It was a weekday and it was still pretty busy during the lunch hour. The restaurant has a very nice and calm ambiance and it was nice for my grandparents who are elderly. It is comfortable and clean looking and there are single person restrooms. A nice casual sit down place that is worth it for lunch when you are not in a rush.

Heck, I went here in 2012 half pregnant and the waitress stopped me from eating smoked salmon, because, well, babies. I've ordered Togo, I've dined in. This has always been a top tier place. Which is hard in chandler right now. Places are getting forced out, bought out, or timed out. Prices are getting higher. Portions smaller, places are closing. Blame whatever you want, who's in charge, what's taxed, I worked my entire job career at bars. So for me, customer service, Accuracy was my thing. On the website today, mikado has been around since 2002. Dayum. Ok great. However on their website no matter what you do, their menu would not pop up. Ok, I've been there enough. And as a trained worker in the field I ordered my dinner for my family at 425. Pm. Well before the expected 5 pm rush. Again, I'm not expecting issues. But at this stage of the country, the people, dayum yall, I get nervous. Send my hubby the email confirmation so he knows what to look for. Bless his heart, he comes home with more incorrect orders which makes us all consider not ever ordering out again. Ever. He came home. They had construction in the parking lot. Ok. They also had jokes with our order. Listen, closely, this place is easily 8/10 times fabulous. But today I wanted to comment upon a joke they must have thought was super funny. Chicken udon... Listen this wasnt the only messed up item However, this specific item has to have been an f* you. How could it not be. Before you see the photo picture what you think chicken udon is. I'm also guaranteeing most of you saw the photo before reading the review. But. Cooked(I'm hopefully thinking they are) udon noodles, with a daikon radish peel, and a half deviled egg, isn't what the description on reviews listed(though my husband always being the cheerleader he is, said it wasn't off*. Mind you again, a business that has been proudly open since 2002, today the menu wouldn't open or download or just magically appear, though, it wasn't this 3 ingredient masterpiece. I was raised in chandler. Take pride in my local spots. I even tipped 20 bucks to whoever it was who had to place my order into plastic bags, I can only imagine how thankful any grocery store employee who loads groceries into bags would be to receive 20/ order. But this, I draw the line and review. Dayum yall. Not that, they also got 2 of the rolls that i ordered wrong, but it's not even the point here. Ordered at25pm. Picked up at 515 pm.. I love this business. I'm not going to continue to let businesses just do whatever if they get paid. Omg. Get it together.

The workers there (I believe the owners) were incredibly nice and welcoming. The food was excellent too, I would most definitely come back for that crispy rice. Would definitely recommend coming here if you're in the mood for sushi!
